    It really is uncanny: the Rhodes, Clavinet, Minimoog, and B-3 are just so much more expressive as MUSICAL INTRUMENTS--i.e., objects you sit down with to express yourself--than anything digital ever made.

    • @jonathanosborn4800
      @jonathanosborn4800 2 года назад +3

      I WOuldnt go that far. Digital is great, you just need parameters to play with, not just static patches

  • @DavidBoura
    @DavidBoura 9 лет назад +88

    Man, this is the most impressive synth demo i ever watched, this is the best Minimoog tutorial out there, and i think this is also the first time i really see someone playing a synth like an instrument... i know it's a lot, but it's all true!
    That said, i want more more more

    • @MatthewPherigo
      @MatthewPherigo 7 лет назад +12

      David Boura I think he means most synth people treat their synths as toys that make cool noises, instead of serving a musical purpose. A lot of synth people think so much about the sound they don't actually care about the musical end.

    This is a guy who gets it ! Who also realizes that the human interface and the relationship with a synth that is so much an instrument as it is a design or pecussive tool that doesnt need a fancy interface or eurorack to get the very soul of a synth to come out Bravo! Peace christo

    Beautiful performance on a beautiful synthesizer. And a great example of how delay can really 'fill-out' a mono synth's sound and turn it into an effective solo instrument.

I grow up listen all those good popular players around the '70s and '80s but knowing nothing about the instruments. Now my interest change and having this kind of new videos is really magic to me.
