This man had a battle going on inside him. He had to uphold maritime/admiral law to keep this country afloat but warred with his conscience because he knew that by upholding maritime law we are made slaves. He practically begged us to bridge over into common law when addressing the courts. This can be found in the book he wrote with Bryan A. Garner.
