I love it when endings loop back around. Just the thought that you're stuck in some kind of purgatory where no matter what everything just plays out the same with no resolution. That's nasty.

"BUT" look at it this way: if he didn't ran away from home he wouldn't end up at the oil rig to save the world, so imo it is a redemption story and learning from ur mistakes...
