    You asked why we watch.
    1. We like you
    2. We became discouraged trying to find something wholesome to watch in the evening.
    3. We find it interesting the different types of dams and the different ways they are built.
    3. We are old and retired but still interested in learning new things.
    4. It is very satisfying to see you remove the blocked water and help the farmers.
We had a question, we did enjoy your Hunt for Mushrooms and wanted to know what type they are?

I watch for three main reasons. 1) I enjoy watching you take apart the dams, with or without a collapse. 2) I also enjoy the drone flights at the end of your videos because they give me a look at the country and I do not know what that part of Lithuania looks like. 3) I enjoy listening to your progress with English. 12 Good reasons to watch your channel
    1. You are an admirable character - very good at your job.
    2. You make films which are technically very good - the colour, setting and sounds of nature all professionally done.
    3. Unlike many professional media people - you do not block the views we are trying to look at, you modestly get on with the work.
    4. You have a sympathy with nature, the countryside and indeed the beavers and keep a good balance.
    5. Local people benefit from your hard work.
    6. You have introduced your country to people around the world in such a good way.
    7. The films are educational in the best sense - we learn so much.
    8. The sound of running water, the bird song, the breezes in the trees, reed and grasses are treasured soundscape.
    9. Over the years you document the seasonal changes - it is beautiful to be reminded of them in such a poetic way.
    10. It is always good to watch other people working hard - especially when watching for a comfy chair!!
    11. Yes the dam busting is fun and we love your athletic leaps just in time!
    12. In England we would call you a 'national treasure'.

Beavers do usually not reuse sticks or branshes that lies on land because they think it is something wrong with them. He also said that when they rebuild they make it stronger each time because they belive the current build was too weak.

Hello Mantas. Yes the beavers do not use old sticks from the pile. It is because they can not reach or pull. They use the sticks from the water. Wood floats. It is not so heavy. The beavers have more power to pull in the water. The sticks are structure for the dam. The mud strengthens the structure and prevents the water from flowing. In Ontario, Canada. We burn the sticks in the winter with a control fire pit burn. Plus the fire keeps use dry and warm. Where we can not burn we use a Chipper shredder machine to eliminate the dead stick pile. Each country and location is different. The dry sticks become a fire hazard in the summer heat. The beavers require the water to move around quickly. They are not as mobile on land. You are doing a wonderful job taking care of the water systems. Keep up the great videos. I really enjoy them.

I was going to suggest a 55 gal vertical burn barrel, which we used to clear and maintain farmland. Once a fire is established in the base, the vertical burn will dry wet and green wood before it is consumed to maintain the fire. The barrel contains the fire for safety.

That's the most sensible reason I've ever heard. Beavers don't have thumbs, long bendable legs and arms for climbing or upright torsos with long necks. They simply can't climb the bank to get the logs back into the water. The ones closest at the bottom edge have all that weight sitting on top of them. 👍👍

    1. I love nature, especially water, like oceans, rivers and streams.
    2. I live in the city so I can’t easily see scenery you show.
    3. I’m too old to go out and do anything like what you’re doing, it doesn’t exist near by.
    4. It’s interesting to see where and how the dams are constructed, and to see how you dismantle them by hand.
    5. The sight and sound of the water is pleasant, and to see the mud/grass/sticks get washed away as you dredge it up/dismantle it is satisfying.
    6. You seem to be a good, hard working person with a nice young family so I want to support you.
    7. I love the before and after shots from the drone of the beautiful country you live in! That is one of my favorite parts. We don’t get snow where I live in the San Francisco area.
    8. You are helping your community.
Keep up the good work, Dude!

I am in Canada, a senior citizen now and have removed hundreds maybe into the thousands of beaver dams over the years. Over the years most dams removed by dismantling by hand and a spade nosed shovel. I removed because of flooding like you and also for years I supplied minnows to fishing stores and would need to keep beaver pond levels low to catch the minnows. I think Canada has more beavers then any other country !!

I am housebound in an urban area in the UK and to see your videos give me a lift each time you post. I can almost feel your satisfaction of a job well done.
I wish you and your family well, take care and long may you continue to grow and prosper, because you thoroughly deserve it. 👏👏🇬🇧

Happy birthday to your small one! Reasons I watch: (1) Satisfying to see work lead to physical change/improvement. (2) Audio of rushing water is relaxing, while the release of pent up energy is a different kind of relaxing. (3) Dam collapse makes my eyes go from o.o to O.O

Damn.... those are Jurassic Park beavers😂..... its amazing how they handle such large branches. I have NO IDEA why I started watching you. I never thought this would EVER be interesting until post 10 and Im guessing thats why you popped up in suggestions. But oddly enough I do find it interesting....I think its amazing how these creatures can build and stop water with their natural ingenious skills....I also think its satisfying watching someone do something they enjoy....you are helping the farmers and now that I've been watching you I like your personality and think your cool and interesting. So there you go from someone who would have never searched for this type of entertainment.

You asked me: Why do I like to watch your videos? Many reasons. 1. Nature: I enjoy water, trees, farms, wild woods, camping, fires, mountain trail exploration, and where nature intersects human activity such as urban exploration and abandoned places, etc. 2. Fascination with your work: Style of removal of dams using only a rake (no technology or messy loud explosives). 3. Relaxing to watch ambient videos with very little dialogue/speaking: I can think to myself as I watch and not be distracted by being told what to think or believe. :>

    Hello
I used to do this with our 2 small streams in our forest in France.
No beavers there but needed clearing.
You are doing a great job.
Happy birthday to your daughter ❤

Good work. ❤🇨🇦 I love watching you work. I love the ASMR sounds. I’m fascinated with how you dismantle the dams. I grew up around creeks as a child so daming them up and un-daming was also fun. I’m fascinated with how beavers can help with watersheds and prevent floods but also the damages they can do. They are protected here as the national symbol next to the maple leaf. I’ve seen how they can prevent drought conditions in some places so they have usefulness.

I watch because I love to see the water allowed to flow the way it should be to keep it from the fields. I love learning how it is done and would love to be able to help someone do it but too weak to be able to do on my own. It's just awesome to watch h a day sound of the water is soon calming!!!

I'm a 72 yr old woman in Florida. I'm handicapped and can't get outside. With you, I can almost smell the air, see the breeze, hear the water, and be absolutely amazed at the size and weight of some of the limbs and branches you pull out of the dams. It's absolutely fascinating to me. And you're a nice person who enjoys what he does and that makes the videos fun, too.

You're right, beavers won't reuse the trees limbs/branches that you remove. They consider the logs defective because their dam broke..., only out desperation will they reuse them.
There are some cage traps used for relocation of beavers to where they can benefit the area. Some hunters can catches beavers for food... I like seeing since you're providing a service for the farmer's fields.... keep on doing this.😎

I am from Australia where water is in low supply. You only hear running water when it rains . I had never really thought about Beavers until I started watching your videos , I love listening to the sound of the water and I really enjoy how you explain farming in your country and how you can live with nature to keep the levels of underground water around you fields . You are fun to watch and enjoy what you are doing . Keep these videos coming ❤

Might not be the biggest dam you ever tackled, but that is a helluva lot of water behind it! Part of the reason I watch is because I know you are doing a good service for farmers and farmers are usually very good people who could use some help like this. And it is just fun watching the dams tumble down.

Good one. It's interesting to see the impact of the removal of each stick. Sometimes the smaller ones have more impact than the big ones. It seems to me that you are more likely to have a rollover when you clear the base of the dam and maintain the minimum flow as long as possible.

I like watching people doing their everyday jobs. also, not a lot of talking except for the beginning and the end, this is very nice. and the sound of the water is almost ASMR. very relaxing videos compared to many other videos where the people just yell for 90% of the time for whatever reason.

I watch your videos because it's nice to see a job well done. You work very hard and make sure the canal is clear. The farmers need those channels open to protect the fields so it's gratifying to see you helping them. It's relaxing. The sound of the water and how it looks as it cascades over the dam is very calming. It's also kind of fun to guess which part you'll do next and to see how it comes apart. The collapse is fun and it's neat how you plan it out. The different camera angles make it more interesting to see the different views.
Lastly, I am Lithuanian on my Dad's side. He was born here (US) and I never knew my grandparents so sadly I know very little about the old country. He's been gone for many years as well. No family stories on that side so it's nice to see the country and hear you speak. I wish I'd been born sooner to learn more of my family's history.
Tell your friends that the internet is full of stupid, selfish, self-centered people doing outrageous things to get attention. You are a kind, generous, hard-working young man who is doing a service for his friends and neighbors and that is immensely appealing. Bless you and your lovely family.
