- The latest few small Battlefield updates have mainly been hotfixing issues and adding cosmetics but over Black Friday I noticed one of the neatest cosmetic sets in the in-game store so far... and I couldn't resist the immersion.
One downed pilot, one suppressed pistol, apparently unlimited smoke grenades and hardcore damage community servers... it's time to bring the fight to the ground too!

You have been able to unequip the primary for a while and not many people knew about it you would have to scroll all the way to the right of the primary’s and if you went too far it would disappear until the next pass this was on console so not sure about PC
I was Sam fisher with no primary

You could have used the M30 Drilling as a German seeing as it was a Luftwaffe survival rifle.
Immersiveness is the most important thing for me when playing a game. That's why when I modern warfare or something I always play on hardcore and use my pistol as much as I can. Love seeing stuff like this!
Another thing that can make it better, is, equip the uniform and be a gunner in a plane, it should stay that way, and when he’s about to crash jump out, and there you are. REAL downed pilot. (It’s easy to just change squads and look for a pilot icon)
This is awesome. I try to play like this anyway when I do it. In the beginning I have the "best kit" but I always end up making kits that would be realistic. Would love to see other ideas similar to this. Maybe unsupressed pistol? Maybe no smoke grenades I dunno. Maybe have stuff you can't use on your kit unless you find it (like explosives or something). Then instead of repairing your aircraft actually bailout behind enemy lines and try to fight your way back to the airfield and get another aircraft.
As someone who is only just staring to learn to fly on console, I hope to one day be as good as you are Dave.
Hell yeah do more videos like this! I'm so glad hardcore finally came out for this game and the option to keep the map and hud. They finally fixed the ttk!
I would LOVE to see a part 2 and you obviously have to use the Stuka and BF109

Take the Stuka B1 Dive Bomber, with right side tech tree, use the high altitude and nitro boost kit to boom and zoom, attack and evade, use the 20mm main guns to take out planes from above (gotta lead those targets), and use the 250kg bombs to harass enemy tanks on the ground. You also almost need the explosive armor to protect against the AA guns extreme range and damage.

I may be wierd but I like the gunplay in bfv much more than bf1 its more satisfying
If you mess around with the German Pilot you should try out the 109 G2 as I feel it needs a little love. I managed to build a pretty good dog fighter variant with the 4 LMG's, maneuverability, and radar package.

i mean, you can start without a primary weapon, then kill an enemy and snatch their gun, it’s not like you going to change into their class, just take what ever you find first

The no primary has became part of many of my class setups but gotta say a downed pilot I like it
Man we would love to see more of BFV dogfights and all about flying.
In ww2 US and German pilots never had suppressed weapons and never had smoke grenades or smoke grenade launchers. Pilots of both german and US faction would have a pistol and about 2 to 3 mags, survivalist knife or dagger, and would also have a flare gun just in case, every pilot had a first aid kit. Some germans pilots had a shotgun that called the m30 luftwaffe drilling that had 3 barrels 2 of the barrels shot a shotgun round that were for self defense and 1 that was a rifle barrel that shot a rifle ammunition and it was used for hunting animals
So if you were doing a immersive pilot I would use the sniper/recon and would have no primary and have a unsupresed pistol of the right faction and a dagger/survivalist knife withe no gadgets except the flare gun.
Anyway nice gameplay

You should do a ghillie suit sniper Behind Enemy Lines
If you like military jets, and such... I suggest the Ace Combat series, specifically Ace Combat Zero, AC5, AC6, AC7:SU, and of course AC3.
You should play more battlefield 1 and yes let see you do the German class
It would've been really cool if you used support because the m30 drilling was meant to be used by german fighter pilots

Try some of the bombers for sure or even the Stuka with the cannons
Just saying they didn't have any type of grenade or special equipment, it was just a normal pistol with no suppressor and a medkit, I understand you need to have a chance to beat the other guy but, just incase.
I don't think I have ever got a kill in a plane in BFV OR BF1. I could never get the hang of it.
i have a challenge from a movie hawk side bridge medic no weapons knife melee is allowed though and smoke grenades

He should’ve picked up weapons he could find... he needs to get as much of an advantage as he can as a downed pilot.

Does anyone have the issue of not being able to find any community games on PS4? For about a week I am totally unable to find ANY community games but other friends have been able to invite me to them. I’ve already checked all my settings to show any and all community games but still no luck. Any feedback would much appreciated.
The new cuatom servers are cool and fun i do wish the brit and german vehicles and planes got the same TLC as the american and japanese vehicles though especially the spitfire mk vb as both its upgrade paths are really meh
The spitfire VB is good at taking down tanks if you go down the right side.

A PPK for the Germans?? I would think or know it would have been a Luger and none of the sidearms would have had a suppressor.
No ppk is correct. Some used the Luger as a personal choice, but the ppk was standard. Luger just gets more love in games and movies because it's such a good looking and unique pistol. Jams a lot though

I actually tried a bit of no HUD for this video but there are so many zany and over the top cosmetics for all of the factions that I kept shooting my teammates in their weird Halloween outfits haha

Such a shame this game is. I think in a year or so the servers will be completely infested with hackers and after that the game will be truly dead on PC.
