grimmspeed is top notch. I had no clue they included everything you need when ordering j pipes or a header. my header had all new set of studs, multiple gaskets and a new bracket support for the j pipe. Never disappointed in their products.

How is the tuning aspect going to be for these aftermarket Jpipes when Cobb changes the tuning platform in the access tuner software
Catted jpipes should be fine. If you’re catless 🤷🏻♂
Most companies only sell Catted jpipes anyway. And if you’re going full race car you probably have the funds to go with a standalone ECU

You won’t. All Cobb did was not allow you to mess with emissions. You can still add a catted j pipe. Smeedia made a video explaining. Or tune it the old fashion way
@@xJoelteon not totally true. I literally have a Cobb catted joule in right now and plan to get tuned after more parts and Cobb told me it “might” throw a cel….meaning I got screwed

No unless you got money to burn for parts and retune. And wanna remove all your emissions parts for said retune.
@Super Saiyan X whole thing is a shit show. If you lagged on getting tuned for the now unsupported mods all I can say is RIP. And look for alternative ways to tune. Or sell them and go stock. 🥲

@@beatsandmel0dy talk to your tuner and see if they can still do it. If not then 🤷🏻♂ might have an expensive paperweight

@@TurboDong they just sold flex fuel kits up until about a month ago and now cut off support for the product. Thats shady. Cobb screwed over a lot of customers. Many will stop using cobb

You need a full tune
Yes stage 2 for j pipe and stage 2+ if you have intake

No. If you have a catted J-pipe your fine.

@@LeeAllen337 most downpipes don’t have Carb numbers if any too, You may get by if the tech isn’t a big Subaru guy and just looks for a cat, but all the places in Cali are scared of getting their smog certs removed so they do everything by the book now.

Ive got a '15 wrx with a noname high flow cat and j pipe on it. I get the p0420 error a lot because of it.
(Cobb ots stage 2 91oct tune) is this going to solve this. Or is it going to do the same thing ?
You need a custom tune ots tunes only work with Cobb products
this should help it. get a pro tune if you want your car to be 100%
I have this exact dp and have P0420 even with a tune. But others including grimmspeed swear it won't cause that. Personally I'm Sol if I can't figure out what's causing it. So I guess YMMV.
