Rosalina isn't even Ness's worst matchup tbh. It's a shitty matchup but Ness at least has ways to create counterplay since once Ness gets in he can stay in for a long time, and also edgeguarding with Dsmash is pretty easy.
Now Marth on the other hand, I don't think there's anything at all Ness can do to touch a good Marth. And if he somehow messes up and lets Ness in, Marth has way more consistent get-out-of-jail-free cards than Rosalina does.
+corile627 True, but it's just good fun to joke about the Ness recovery situation. Also, Ness has a hard time grabbing because of Luma, so nair is one of the most effective approaching options, which can still be shield grabbed.

...I play Lucas, and I do that more than i'm willing to admit.
As Lucas you don't really need to with tether. But you can since Ness and Lucas's airdodge goes into the z axis.
You forgot the part where they ceaselessly tell you about how good Earthbound is.

Honestly Ness is a pretty under appreciated character in SSB4. I honestly think if there were more players playing Ness he would at least be in the top 10 for the tier list. Cause he can kick ass if you use him right. Just ask NAKAT or Fow or even S1
May mate, he gets destroyed by mostly every top tier and has a poor neutral.
