Start reading NCERTs. Finish India Polity, Modern History, Art and Culture, Economy concepts and Physical Geography. Finish these topics first without rushing. Focus on limited books for the foundational understanding. By the Age you turn 20, start studying all the dynamic parts of all these subjects. Start on giving tests, focus on previous mains answers to get good rank. Also follow current affairs in depth for understanding and awareness. And get a habit of reading newspaper from Indian govt perspective. Focus on revisions and reproducing good written answers with citations as you get closer to your attempt. As for your question, ramp up your prep around age 20 and you'll become an officer in choice of your department by age 22-24. All the Best
@@TPGamer-nr8kd I took maths optional and i can tell you that maths is nearly not as scoring as it used to be back in 2018-19 (Atul sir and kanishk sir scored 350+). It is mainly because maths is now scaled to bring parity between optionals. Earlier the scaling factor was around 0.6-0.7 for paper 1 and 0.8-0.9 for paper 2 (pre 2019). But now the scaling factor in paper 2 is also around 0.7 so people are not getting more than 320-325 which is same as other optionals
@@TusharMeenaCGST bro...he just made a fact....im accepting ur point that upsc is unpredictable from the beginning...but this time change was drastic...upsc csat syllabus the mentioned 10th level maths...was it the same level they asked this time? Im not saying it's impossible...but so many hardworks failed due this change...all we have in our hand is 2 things ... syllabus and PYQs both hit the hardest this time...we don't know y but yes it was a hard hit factor for many aspirants... especially the ones who had the last attempt
