Yeah. They just planted a fresh batch of tame hatchery fish for you., at a great price. You are required to release the fish, right? There is so little food in such a small stream that the fish are starved and will bite anything......even for a clown stomping up to them and standing right above them, and splashing on being caught. I'm sure trout get that large by being so stupid.

Are trout like that normal in NZ? I live in Arizona, US and love trout fishing, but here it is so rare to catch just a two pounder, and you guys just reel in TANKS like it's nothing out of the usual!😂 Someone please explain this to me.
No. While their ancestors were steelhead ova imported from California, the rainbows in the mountain rivers here like this one in the vid don't go out to sea - they migrate up and down the river system they live in. Some that were released 100 years ago in lakes migrate up tributary rivers to spawn and return to the lake as their 'sea'.

Somethings I am unable to relate to on outdoors videos, talking to a mirror, nor floating in the air viewing anything, nor placing my head underwater to view fish prior to or during release and I have never yelled or whooped or carried on like I am demented when catching, playing or releasing fish, also I have never talked out loud all my thoughts whilst fishing. If you wish to make impressive video let the action speak for itself and present that action in a manner that would equate to the viewer being the person out doing the fishing.
