    This is one of the symphonies Richard Atkinson went over in his Rhythmic Ingenuities in lesser know Haydn symphonies (I didn't realize until the 3rd movement)

      @@wolfie8748 Probably because the part goes very high by the standards of the modern double horn. Maybe that range is easier on the natural A horn the part was written for, but it's not obvious, given that an A horn would still be slightly bigger than the Bb side of a double horn.

    1st movement exposition is just so clumsy 😅
