There's such a calm peacefulness in both your facial expression and voice; love watching and listening! Also, great content. Would love to learn more about the differences between a "drone", "pedal tone" and constant, non-changing arpeggios.
I always enjoy these Monday videos. Unfortunately, your keyboard makes it hard to see when black keys are being played. Is there a way to change the color, to make it more visible?
i'm looking into this, but it's an issue with the Logic keyboard. when i'm doing the keyboard live, i can use Chordie App, which colors played notes, but this format the MIDI is prerecorded and the only keyboard option i've got is the built in keyboard window is logic. which is only that color. maybe there's a way to send inter-application MIDI to Chordie... that's a thought.
Thanks guys. This is the Logic keyboard, and it’s how these compilation videos have to be shown, unfortunately. The Logic black keys do change color, but it’s very faint. Each of these pieces will get its own short in Synthesia this week, so please stay tuned.
@@ImpliedMusic Ah thanks for making the effort to look into it-and for figuring it out! It was so so hard to see the triggered black keys on the logic keyboard. This will be a lot better.

Thanks! Always a pleasure watching your Videos for a fast Inspiration or for remembering some old technique learned decades ago ;)
Great video! I love pedal tones 😂

SUCCESS. i figured it out. i can send MIDI to the Chordie app and use it next time i do one of these. thanks for the kick in the pants!
Talking out of turn I think your channel deserves the “phonometrician” moniker of Satie. I’ll see myself out.
I don't see the black notes, only the white notes on keyboard 🤔
I agree. In other videos you’ve used a keyboard visualizer where the keys light up blue when triggered-that is so much more helpful
