Okay, I'm going to try to give my interpretation of this SCP since many people are confused by this one. I'm not sure I'm right, but here we go anyway: The Foundation is containing an object called SCP 194 that must be kept in a New Orleans mausoleum for some reason. The researchers assigned to it are Garth and Laura. Garth becomes obsessed with Laura and begins persistently trying to win her over despite being firmly turned down. For the record, I don't think this behavior was induced by an SCP. I think this is simply non-anomalous stalking. After official complaints were lodged against him, his access was revoked and a transfer to another site was pending. Desperate, Garth stole Laura's access credentials and entered the mausoleum where 194 was being contained, knowing Laura would investigate. When she tried to reject him for the final time, Garth tried to physically prevent her from leaving. Whatever 194 is, she beat him to death with it. This caused persistent reality altering effect. Garth was erased from reality, apart from his corpse which had been mummified by the conditions in the mausoleum. Furthermore, it caused various non anomalous objects to appear in Foundation containment and databases under the 194 designation. The Foundation had to get inventive in the face of these reality shifts to keep track of what 194 actually is, which accountsfor the unusual structure of this file. As for why these particular objects appear? Recall that Garth tried to win over Laura with a collage of the things that "made her so amazing. " Also recall that he was caught stealing various items from a department store, including a volleyball. I think, the things from Garth's collage are the objects that keep appearing as SCP 194.
So basically. Garth is a stalker that got beaten up using 194 as a bludgeoning device. The collage that Garth bring "bleeds" into the SCP's effect thus it changes from time to time
Some people get annoyed and angry at things that confuse them, but confusing things like this actually fascinate me. I was hooked and intrigued the entire way trying to figure out what is happening. Whether you like it or not it's definitely a unique one.
I'm not entirely clear on what happen, but this is what I've gathered. SCP-194 is a realty warping anomaly that is centered around a subject. Prior to Garth's death, it's unspecified what forms SCP-194 took. What we know is that, upon being killed with 194 (A harmful, blunt object that Laura was capable of using in some crude fashion), Garth's recent history around Laura became the focus of SCP-194. Moreover, it seems that any information about Garth was removed, or limited to the forms SCP-194 would present. Maybe I missed something, but my theory is that the Foundation knows more about the object than they may realize. They know 194 presents itself as several non-anomalous objects "affected" by SCP-194. They know one form is of a corpse, found in a mausoleum. If the corpse is non-anomalous, but affected by SCP-194, and there is cause to be concerned about reality warping on the outside of the mausoleum, but addressing nothing about the interior, then there must be some anomalous reason to keep the corpse there. To make a long hypothesis short, I think Garth's history, his very presence in time, was taken away. Each object is a frame in time which involved Garth. Only one being available at a time as "SCP-194". Now, this might be a leap, but what if 194 has erased history before too? It clearly was anomalous when Garth was alive. Anomalies like 194 would explain the gaps in a certain SCP's memory; SCP-2032, Father Time.
This is both fascinating yet kind of confusing. My idea of what this is is that of course all the objects listed as 194 relate to the gifts Garth tried to woo Laura with. With the conflicting info I would say Laura is right, this is some reality warping phenomenon, that seemingly involves her and this Garth guy.
It does, from what someone else theorized, they think that whatever Scp 194 is, is Garth (subject 1) himself, turning into the objects that he gave to Laura (subject 2), since before his death, he was obsessed with her and gave her stuff that she liked
SCP-194 Is an object that breaks reality It would be a Keter class object except the reality warp is affecting its own file. This is the 2nd one I've heard that is like this. Where the story is done and I still have no idea what is going on. What is the horror, mystery, or some kind of drama? It makes no sense. A very bad SCP.
I think the idea is that, when people are in proximity to the SCP, reality gets warped around it. To the point that, all of the documentation for what the SCP even IS gets warped, is it a ball or a boat or what? Well, it's all of those things, because it shifts and changes. It also warps reality in a way that affects those near it. "Garth" the researcher fell victim to it, the "objects" that it had appeared as at one point or another being associated with what he stole at the shop etc. "Thank You For Your Cooperation" was repeated to Garth several times by various people before all of this warping began, sort of like, a warning or a glitch in the SCP's reality warping. So at the end, when we hear it being repeated, but this time, towards Laura and not (the no longer living) Garth, it's creepy because it means she's probably the next to fall victim to the SCP, to the point that no one would ever even know she existed except for this recording of her and Garth talking which somehow still exists in a reality that no one can remember either of them in.
@@MHChrono I think you're reading too much into the repetition; that was more for thematic effect than implying that Laura was next, I think. Basically this story is Laura had a stalker, and the stalker wouldn't leave her alone no matter how much she said no and how many complaints she filed. @@MHChrono that means......if you touch the SCP, you can be forgotten. This SCP is an antimeme. It would erase any existance of anything it touches on a reality level. Due to its containment, the SCP is a safe class as it isnt mobile enough to be keter. The guy just was a common garden variety stalker but he possibly did have a thing with her. But the relations turned sour into stalking. Since she touched the scp directly, she is another instance. Or.......she touched the SCP and was slowly forgetting him due to her rejecting an advance or he did something stupid that made her angry at him. When he touched the scp, he tried to make her remember what a wonderful person he knew her to be and the scp began to manifest what his mind wanted. She liked volleyball, boating trips and painting. Shes the one that forgot him, garth wasnt her stalker, he was her lover. She could only call up his name because she saw it on her phone and on his labcoat!!! And she forgot about him and he couldnt deal with the heartbreak. All because of the pull and push effects of SCP194.
@@MHChrono okay thank you but they could have made it better scp then this.
@@MHChrono I think you're reading too much into the repetition; that was more for thematic effect than implying that Laura was next, I think.
Basically this story is Laura had a stalker, and the stalker wouldn't leave her alone no matter how much she said no and how many complaints she filed. Her stalker confronted her in the room where the SCP was held, she killed him in a sudden surge of anger because he just wouldn't _stop_, grabbing the SCP and striking him with it, and its unspecified reality warping effects erased him from time.
This is really a story about Laura with the SCP as just a MacGuffin whose details don't matter, not a story about an SCP. There's a few in the wiki like that.
And with her hitting him with the SCP, her last thoughts were: "i wish you never existed."
If only all stalkers were that easy to forget, amnestics after that anyone?
"I'm Die. Thank you forever."
