well damn! where the hell was chick and awesome band at all my life....lol i am 41 and pretty much am aware of most artist from all genre's and decades...but this one slipped by me somehow... 3 video's in and i am already a fan i have a feeling she wasn't so popular here in the states, she was abit head of her time yet retro in a way... the style isn't poppy enough for the states. boardering psychedelic rockabilly meets new wave.
I'm 61, and bought her music back in the 80's. My daughter now has the collection.🥰So greatful someone thought ta share. Thank you so very much. Music these days, ugh yuk, my opinion. It doesn't resonate well like all the old tunes do.
LYRICS Waiting at the corner Or underneath the stair Best turn your thoughts away Pretend that he’s not there Lurking in the front room And always at the rear Tell you lots of crazy things It’s better not to hear Oh no yummer yummer man Don’t you mess with me Oh no yummer yummer man I don’t want to see La La La Standing at your bedside As you are born to clasp you to him When the angels have all flown And when he comes to get you You’d better go along He’s there to take you To the place where you come from Oh no yummer yummer man Don’t you mess with me Oh no yummer yummer man I don’t want to see
I would say she's a bit more edgy than Souixsie, she has her own sound, but if I had to make a comparison, I would say she's more like an English Nina Hagen.
A superb musician, singer and songwriter
Excellent et comme tout ce qui est réellement spatial ça n 'a pas pris une seule ride .Bravo.
Brilliant.... In my book forms the trinity of Lene Lovich and Nina Hagen.

LYRICS
Waiting at the corner
Or underneath the stair
Best turn your thoughts away
Pretend that he’s not there
Lurking in the front room
And always at the rear
Tell you lots of crazy things
It’s better not to hear
Oh no yummer yummer man
Don’t you mess with me
Oh no yummer yummer man
I don’t want to see
La La La
Standing at your bedside
As you are born to clasp you to him
When the angels have all flown
And when he comes to get you
You’d better go along
He’s there to take you
To the place where you come from
Oh no yummer yummer man
Don’t you mess with me
Oh no yummer yummer man
I don’t want to see
Thank you. 😊
@@lindabarling7719 You're welcome 🦇🦇🦇🎶
a real underground one....she's somewhere there , not far from the Banshees...
I've thought the same thing,.

@@Teapot-Dave or the long-forgotten Cassell Webb...
For a brief moment I thought that was Jeffrey Lee Pierce on drums.
Awesome artiste!! Sadly missed from the landscape. But, that bass player!??! Was he standing in from Simple Minds or something?
well I thought the bass player was f*ckin awesome!
a lydia lunch and danielle dax record would be very cool.
Just out of curiosity, what exactly is a yummer man?
I would say a bogey man(?) There’s an old song called Yamma Yamma Man that sounds relatable to the lyrics I guess.
