Really good! We (the gaming community) really need more celestial creatures and this one is both cool, unique and fits a really good story niche. Two thumbs up!
Thanks so much, Mr Crowely! I'm really glad you think so, and it seems like a bunch of people agree with you. I definitely think that I'll have to put some more homebrew creatures on this list in that case! Cheers for watching and for your kind words!
I personally think that anyone in the gravity breath attack should make a strength save and not a dex save. This is because I would imagine that they would be struggling to stand up with their , not nimbly dodging out of the way. Love the creature. Great work as always.
This beastie is magnificent! I'd love to see more homebrew of your own design if you're ever up for it. :D I also love the idea of the Void Foxes being essentially non-judgemental trickster mum-friends.
I needed a good monster monday, I just ended a 6 year relationship, packed up, and moved to a whole different state. But this video brought me out of my funk. Maybe it's because a Void Fox noticed how lost I felt and needed to lead me to something to make me happy and remind me of the reasons I chose this path? 😉 lol Wonderful video and I LOVE this creature! I definitely want to see more of your homebrew stuff! It's original creations of yours that no other channel has and I think there is something special about that.
Sarah Nichols That sucks you had to go through that. :( Glad that some D&D could help though! One of the reasons I love D&D is its ability to help us cope with crap in our lives.
If you're doing homebrews I have a couple suggestions. An owl sloth. This creature spends most of its life hanging up in trees. Hanging from its back are while luminescent mushrooms that attract moths. The moths use this space as a breeding ground. The sloth Gaines a tasty treat every so often for any of the unfortunate moths that fly close enough to its beak.
Hey! Could you add Flail Snail to your list of things to draw? I love how preposterous they are. Also, congratulations on your two RUclips milestones! It always warms my heart when a small creator such as you starts getting the recognition they diserve. Keep on going, you're amazing!
I simply love this monster. Very cool look and a great feel! I love your Monster Mondays, either your homebrew or published stuff! Dealer's choice! Great video, Josh
This is incredible! I'd definitely love to see some more homebrew creations of yours. This is probably one of my favourite Monster Mondays, and the best homebrew I've seen.
It's as if you literally made the perfect creature for me. I'm running a campaign with a heavy Greek mythology theme, one of my players is a thief who is loosely connected to Hermes, and my name (and favorite animal) is literally Fox. Awesome work as usual. As for some possible requests for future Monster Mondays, green dragons are a something I've been fascinated by for quite some time and would love to see a video or two on.
i think monster monday should be official stuff only but i would love a "homebrew hour" style video series in this same vein where its only your original ideas that would be awesome
This is so cool! Would definitely love to see more of your homebrew monsters. Really tempted to use the Void Fox in my campaign, if any of the party find themselves lost... hmm.
Absolutely gorgeous. Really great lore and design! I wish I had money to give you so I could snatch the stat block :PFor future Monster Mondays, I'd really like to see a Wraith, if you ever needed a shorter one. If you wanted another "good guy" monster, I would love to see your interpretation of a Solar!
I love the work you put into this creature and would be interested to see more of your homebrews. Since you brought up the Tome of Foes, I'm also interested to see your take on the elemental myrmidon
The only thing I can think of now is that the party finds an NPC that rides one of these and looks majestic as hell... only to get off to greet the party and fall flat on their face 2 feet after dismounting
That was awsome i love your ideas and the way you present them, keep doing homebrew its very inspiring I want to use Void Fox in backstory for my Ranger character, he is a Planes touched Hunter Witch.
As always great work going to use this in my game at some point love the idea of it being hunted. Probably going to send the characters out to hunt it and then have it protect them at some point will see. Thanks as always!!!!
Love the fox, man!!! Great job finally getting monetized. I hear the backlog at Google/RUclips is pretty significant. Another YT buddy of mine just got monetized after waiting 6+ months herself. :(
Hey, man! I’m a Patron and I would really like the Void Fox please. I saw the Void Dragon in the Tome of Beasts and thought it was awesome so I’m super excited about this! I’m going to use it in a campaign I’m about to run!
Hey, No worries. I'll make sure to send that over to you asap. I saw your message the other day but I've not had chance to get back to people recently. Keep an eye out in your inbox! J
Congratulations on your official RUclips Partner status!! I’m really excited for you and your channel! [Video Question] As a Dungeon Master how do you narrate your story and game? I have been struggling to 1st remember narration and 2nd knowing if I’m laying it on too thick. I’d really love to hear your thoughts on how you spice up your game.
A very interesting and imaginative idea for a home brew creature, I have gotta say the artwork for it is impressive as well. Btw would anyone know where I could find people to play a D&d game with, I have always wanted to play the game myself yet no one I know is interested?
Woa beautiful!! I love this guy!! Do you mind if I use him in my campaign? I'll definitely submit a drawing too! Your homebrew stuff sounds awesome! I'd love for you to do more homebrew!! (haha I'm glad you're a fan of Loki too!! He's the best~)
I love to see your homebrew but I watch these like 60% reason to educate myself and my characters so if DM throws stuff at me I'll recognize them. But hey! If I send your home brew stuff to my people then they might use those too! Problem solved Edit: DM's responce: I’m already designing stories around this thing now
Thats so awesome, Anne! I'm so glad your DM liked it, and I'm glad that you enjoy my more traditional D&D videos too. Cheers for watching and for sharing with your DM!
Hi, I don't know if anyone will see this, but the homebrew stats and even patron links to this is no longer available. Does anyone have a link or idea where to find it? Put cart before horse by having this serve as a guard to a kitsune priestess and now I don't have the info to run it.
What about an "assassin" that just killed a king fox? still chill? Also I REALLY want to play a fey gnome charger, with one of these as a mount... I mean a rider is technically being worn right...? so blink and plane shift are all good right... ?
Josh I’m currently making a Ranger (unearthed arcana beast master) but I was really struggling on what his beast should be and then a notification for this video popped up and as soon as I read the title I knew this was going to be his furry friend but I might have to talk to my dm about the abilities as its not an official monster and you should definitely do more home brew monsters And I’m also trying to become a patreon to get the stats for the void Fox I’ll let you know if and when I’m set up
Hey, It's me again. So, I'm still struggling with organising my D&D crew, and by that I mean getting them together at the same time, and I was wondering, do you consider D&D to be someting casul, or something you commit to?
ShadowHunter Hey man, I think that’s a fairly common problem with groups. I’ll tell you how I do it for my groups; it works really well. I set a reoccurring day and time that the players can make MOST of the time. For instance, one of my groups meets every other Saturday at 4 pm. I have 5 players and if at least 3 of them can make it, we play. What I’ve found is that if we do the whole “Okay, let’s find a time when everyone can make it” thing after every session, we’d almost never play. And even if we DO find a date, chances are someone will end up not being able to make it. Rescheduling and canceling just because one or two players can’t make a session leads to a death spiral where the group almost never plays. That’s why I just pick a day and time and we play as long as 3 players can make it. I usually consider it bad form to plug my channel on someone else’s (sorry Josh), but I have a couple videos on my channel that address this very issue. They mostly reiterate what I wrote above, though. Hope this helps! And sorry you’re having trouble getting your crew together. That sucks.
Scheduling is the worst part of DND!! As a DM I try and make sure that I can schedule so that my players don't miss more than one game in a row, but it happens sometimes. Also I like the idea of a set day & time. Since we do milestone leveling, they're also remaining at the same level. But if we switch to XP (we might after they hit lvl 5) I was thinking they'd get the XP from one session they miss, but if they miss more (in a row, not total), they'll miss out on that XP.
beautyisntperfect I’ve been doing set day and time for 2 of my groups for the last 2+ years. It works wonderfully. First, everyone knows when the next game is because each is every other weekend. Second, I save SO much time not trying to schedule sessions via email, etc. Third, my players almost never miss games because they know I won’t reschedule if they can’t make it. Bear in mind, too, that almost all of us are adults with families. So, getting that kind of consistency tells me that there’s nothing wrong with fixed scheduling! :) (I’m sure that’s not the only reason my players almost never miss games, of course.)
Oh my gosh this Monster Monday took me off guard! It's super pretty, and the lore around it is super interesting!! and I know this is 100% coincidence, but it looks so much like my favorite character I've made, a giant fox made of starstuff and projectected from a constellation. now maybe i can have a basis for fitting Crevan into a campaign, thanks for that!! heres a pic:bit.ly/2JtkonQ
Really good! We (the gaming community) really need more celestial creatures and this one is both cool, unique and fits a really good story niche. Two thumbs up!
AJ Pickett
Agreed
AJ Pickett You should get a the info from Arcane Forge and do a monster ecology video on the Void Fox. I absolutely love the idea.
I was looking for more youtubers like you which is how I ended up here!
If the rest of your homebrew creatures are this good I'd love to see more
Agree :D
Agreed!
I parrot this sentiment! Very interesting creature
Thanks so much, Mr Crowely! I'm really glad you think so, and it seems like a bunch of people agree with you. I definitely think that I'll have to put some more homebrew creatures on this list in that case!
Cheers for watching and for your kind words!
I’d love to see more like this !!
Wow, a Void fox fits the flavor of a goddess of my homebrew d&d world a lot.. This gives me some inspiration
I personally think that anyone in the gravity breath attack should make a strength save and not a dex save. This is because I would imagine that they would be struggling to stand up with their , not nimbly dodging out of the way. Love the creature. Great work as always.
I think strength save would be better than Dex for the gravity breath. You can't really Dodge gravity but you could try and push through it
Lil fox Yes, I agree. Getting out of gravity would be strength-related.
I thought the exact same thing.
Ah yes, fuck Rouges, a man after my own heart
This beastie is magnificent! I'd love to see more homebrew of your own design if you're ever up for it. :D I also love the idea of the Void Foxes being essentially non-judgemental trickster mum-friends.

Sarah Nichols That sucks you had to go through that. :( Glad that some D&D could help though! One of the reasons I love D&D is its ability to help us cope with crap in our lives.
the DM Lair You're absolutely right. D&D is always the highlight of my week and it keeps me inspired. And thank you ❤
Sarah Nichols You're very welcome! 😁👊
It's only up from here. Be kind to yourself & take your time. Things will get better. 😊
I absoultely love your hair.
The color is great.
Keep up the great job.
Thanks so much, Phillip!
Thanks so much for watching!
Oh damn, this is a great creature I love it! I like how it can also function as a safety net for low level parties
You are a criminally underrated channel
If you're doing homebrews I have a couple suggestions. An owl sloth. This creature spends most of its life hanging up in trees. Hanging from its back are while luminescent mushrooms that attract moths. The moths use this space as a breeding ground. The sloth Gaines a tasty treat every so often for any of the unfortunate moths that fly close enough to its beak.
Really cool. Think the counter to this would be the kitsune. A fox-like creature that helps travelers get lost and never return.
Yes! Please keep making homebrew videos. This is definitely going in my game. I have a character that fits this perfectly
Hey! Could you add Flail Snail to your list of things to draw? I love how preposterous they are.
Also, congratulations on your two RUclips milestones! It always warms my heart when a small creator such as you starts getting the recognition they diserve. Keep on going, you're amazing!

This is incredible! I'd definitely love to see some more homebrew creations of yours. This is probably one of my favourite Monster Mondays, and the best homebrew I've seen.
I love this! if all your homebrew content is this good keep them coming!
Love the drawing. That's a really interesting home brew creature.
Omg you're art is amazing and congratulations on hitting 7k! You deserve each and everyone of them!
I love this creature you just described my son's character in a nutshell with your description of who this fox would help XD
Wow man, your homebrew skills must be crazy if you came up with such a cool and beautiful creature with such a neat backstory!
Shower the pooch in all them gold coins lol. Love this homebrew very cool idea! more homebrews for sure!!
One of your best monster monday so far, i would love to see more of your monsters, especialy if they're as good as this one.
The art looks super awesome! I’d be happy to see more Homebrew monsters!
More homebrew content, keep up the beautiful work!
I would absolutely love to see more home brew monsters. This video was fantastic and I will definitely be featuring a void fox in one of my games.
Aww. Your dog is adorable! Also, congratulations on your success with the channel. 😃
Astral creatures are awesome! Keep up the good work.
Loved the video :) I think we'd all like to see more homebrew creatures of yours so we can steal them.
This is awesome! Also congratulations on 7k subs😄. It is always nice to see what others create monster wise to add another layer of wonder in D&D.
Awesome video Josh! Would love to see more of your homebrew things that you've drawn in the past.
Heh... it's a Star Fox... I'll see myself out. :P
i think monster monday should be official stuff only but i would love a "homebrew hour" style video series in this same vein where its only your original ideas that would be awesome
Crazy cool creature man, more of these would be great.
This is so cool! Would definitely love to see more of your homebrew monsters. Really tempted to use the Void Fox in my campaign, if any of the party find themselves lost... hmm.
Awesome homebrew. Should definitely do some more for your channel.
I love the homebrew. It is soooo cooool
Oooooooh got an add! Good for you Josh! You are one of the rare youtuber that I whitelisted on Adblock. Keep up the good work mate!
Absolutely gorgeous. Really great lore and design! I wish I had money to give you so I could snatch the stat block :PFor future Monster Mondays, I'd really like to see a Wraith, if you ever needed a shorter one. The published monsters are awesome, but we would love to see more homebrew monsters.
Thank you so much Dave! I'm really looking forward to putting some more of my homebrew creatures on here!
Cheers for watching.
As always great work going to use this in my game at some point love the idea of it being hunted. Probably going to send the characters out to hunt it and then have it protect them at some point will see. Thanks as always!!!!
RUclips Red baby, no ads for me. But that said, already supporting you on Patreon. :D
A composite creature with the body of a mongoose. With a bottle brush tail. And an elongated scaly Nick ending with the head of a hooded cobra.
Love the channel. Im playin in a campaign later today and have been listening to your vids all mornin. Void fox is dope, gg

Cheers for watching.
Congratulations on becpming a partener!!
A Batpig!!!!! So cute
its.... its so pretty 😍 reminds me of a WoW mount or something. i’d love to use it in a game.
Love the fox, man!!! Great job finally getting monetized. I hear the backlog at Google/RUclips is pretty significant. Another YT buddy of mine just got monetized after waiting 6+ months herself. :(

That is beautiful bud.

I know it a few days away, but happy anniversary, good sir.
I enjoy the home brew Monsters
More homebrew!!!!
Woa beautiful!! I love this guy!! Do you mind if I use him in my campaign?
I'll definitely submit a drawing too!
Your homebrew stuff sounds awesome! I'd love for you to do more homebrew!!

Small Dog in Video Auto Like XD
Also Congrats on hitting 7k :D
Well small if you’re a giant.
Can you please draw a Kitsune?
Absolutely, Der Igel! I'll make sure to pop that on the "to draw" list for you!
Cheers for watching!

How long does it take to make one drawing
I don't love the name but it's a pretty cool creature.
Hi, I don't know if anyone will see this, but the homebrew stats and even patron links to this is no longer available.
Does anyone have a link or idea where to find it? Put cart before horse by having this serve as a guard to a kitsune priestess and now I don't have the info to run it.
Love!
Its so cool
[Video Question] What is your favorite drawing you have done for the channel?
Once again a great monstor Monday addition. Will you ever continue magic item drawings ?
"Omae wa mou shindeiru" "Nani?" REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Nice
oh hey look it's me
What about an "assassin" that just killed a king fox? still chill?
Also I REALLY want to play a fey gnome charger, with one of these as a mount... I mean a rider is technically being worn right...? so blink and plane shift are all good right... ?
Rapple Tek is assassin a fancy way of saying sociopath?
Evonne Little in this instance... yes
This also kinda reminded me of the Teumessian Fox. Did that myth inspire you as well?
Doggo coin shower!
Can you do my favorite minion of my favorite Demon Lord, the Bodak.
Josh I’m currently making a Ranger (unearthed arcana beast master) but I was really struggling on what his beast should be and then a notification for this video popped up and as soon as I read the title I knew this was going to be his furry friend but I might have to talk to my dm about the abilities as its not an official monster and you should definitely do more home brew monsters

so is the stats only allowed for your patrons because I really like this creature but I don't have any money
What program do you use to draw?
Hey, It's me again. So, I'm still struggling with organising my D&D crew, and by that I mean getting them together at the same time, and I was wondering, do you consider D&D to be someting casul, or something you commit to?
