    High angle panning shot of the dock where the salvage work is taking place. Men mill around by the winches but they are not in operation. M/S of large chain being lowered onto the dock. M/S of men straining to pull the chain down. M/S of two men on raft being lowered down into the dock. M/S of a diver being lowered into the water. "First attempts prove that still mightier hawsers and winches are necessary even than these!" Panning shot of the hawsers and winches. Panning shot of men at work winding the winches.
    M/S of salvage crew on board a small boat helping a diver back on board. Short shot of diver being helped out of his diving suit. M/S of workers manipulating a large chain which seems to be attached to a raft on which two workers stand. Various shots of workers grappling with the chain. M/S of man in diving gear being helped back onto small boat, men begin to take off his diving helmet. More shots of the men moving the large chain. Various shots showing machinery on the dockside, men at work, the winches etc. (Last part appears to be cuts).
