One of my favorite tools in my shop. I use an old tall trash can with the lid off. I put an old towel on the bottom. I place a piece of plywood with a small hole in the center over the can. Prevents nails from flying out.
Using mine to remove some old corrugated metal inside my barn. Punches the rusty nail through the tin to make removal easy and I can reuse the corrugated metal on another project. Great tool ++
who just happens to have an air compressor under the bench? Of course, the guy wanted to get rid of the wood ,its just not worth the hassle of getting the nails out
I have been using it for a few months now - but already having a problem with the punch as it kind of sucks in tiny nails which totally blocks the punch channel.
That's a bummer. How tiny are we talking? They recommend not using it for anything smaller than a 20 ga nail, probably for that reason. I bet a larger punch would work, although it would make a bigger hole.
I have the same problems, but I had it right away with the 2nd pallet with 2.5mm nails. By the 5th, the neck was already so worn that almost every nail got stuck.
@@ScreenPrintR Here is a link to the AirLocker AP700 use manual. I use a Porter Cable 6 gal 150 lb psi with mine. It works very well for me! www.airlockernailers.com
@ScreenPrintR I didn't get paid for this review, full disclosure. I've done quite a bit of work with pallets, and this tool is truly a game changer. I highly recommend it to anyone who is doing a high volume of pallet disassembly. Good luck!
Really bad device. I already had with the 2nd pallet with 2.5mm nails that the nail got stuck between the neck and the firing pin. By the 5th pallet, the neck was already so worn that almost every nail got stuck.

@@louislandi938 Good idea! My catch system could definitely use an upgrade!
@@fortorangewoodworking I’ve switched to this because of the flying nails! Contains them 100%.
Very cool! I didnt even know something like this existed!👍
Me neither... what an awesome find!

Oh, that's a good idea. Can definitely reuse old barn materials!
Thank you for the awesome video. I used your link and added it to my wish list.
Glad you liked it, Lisa. It's a great time saver! Let me know how it works out for you.
wonder if you could drive nails down to get plywood off with this tool
What do you mean, to get plywood off? Off of what? I could try it.

hi, could you tell me the maximum diameter in millimeters of the nails that can enter? Thanks
.9mm to 3.2mm (10 gauge - 20 gauge), according to the manufacturer.
@@fortorangewoodworking Does a 5mm nail fit inside the gun?
can you measure for me with caliper please
Not sure I understand... this thing REMOVES nails.

What size and type of compressor do you recommend to use with this tool?

@@fortorangewoodworking Thank you, I'll have to put the nailer on my shopping list.

This work with 2x4 wood?
2x4's aren't typically held together with the size nails this model can handle. It won't handle framing nails.

With smaller nails it helps to do it in 2 or 3 shots instead of swallowing the entire nail in one pass. Around 3/4" at a time.
Too much yacking dude!
