I just purchased the Firestick 4K Max but it only hooks up y Wi-Fi 5 and not Wi-Fi 6 mesh witch I do have. I have fiber coming into the house and a new Netgear Mesh Wi-Fi but I can’t find an option to utilize Wi-Fi 6…go figure
I'm so lost with streaming and I have to with my new apartment complex, bc they only allow 1 provider & their internet/cable TV, is 200+. In this area, that's ridiculous. Do You need a firestick for each TV? I have 3, plus a laptop, I only use for computer things lol. I feel so old. Definitely need help here. My Internet has either 100 mgbs or I can get 400?
100gb is plenty fast enough (anything over 20 will stream 4k just fine). Yes, you need a streaming device for each TV, but not for your laptop, you can just go to the appropriate website or download the apps directly to your laptop. If any of your TVs are older (or smaller) and don't support 4k, then just the regular Fire TV Stick will be fine. Don't get the Lite one, though, because you lose the ability to turn on your TV and adjust your volume and losing those isn't worth the few dollars that you save. I would keep your eye out for discounts, as these sticks are frequently discounted by $10-$20 or more. I just picked up the 4k Max for only $35 using a coupon code I found online.
