Yes. But you need to chop it in to very small pieces. It can produce very good silage as it has lot of sugar. But follow scientific procedure

Don't use paddy straw for silage. It is not a good fodder.

Yes. He can feed only silage. But it is recommended to feed both to maintain palatability.

Not at all. U can keep it above 1.5 year. In Haryana i have seen that they use the silage for over 1.5 year in one run.
