    Well after years of living in Seoul-going back annually and then going to try this place and getting n the bill u think WTF! Minus the caviar chicken-same types of fried chicken could be found on any street for under 25 USA dollars

    Literally everything wrong about food in the states. This kind of chicken is casual food found everywhere in Korea. To dress it up and charge that much is so wrong. His Korean bbq place too is nothing special…his concepts are putting common foods in a fancy atmosphere. That’s why his crowd is mostly non Asians.

    • @nedryerson9971
      @nedryerson9971 7 месяцев назад +5

      You can get burgers at McDonalds for $3. You can also get them for over $20, and the quality will be noticeable. Same here. You're paying for atmosphere, service, and quality of ingredients made by people who know how to make it.

    • @CA2SD

      IKR. I rather enjoy by relaxing at a casual fun atmosphere instead.

    • @ContrarianDC_KAF
      @ContrarianDC_KAF 7 месяцев назад

      And what's wrong with "elevating" or "fancy-fying" casual food? As an example, do you even know the humble origin of sushi? Do you think it was always a fine cuisine that many people think it is? Or any other European food that people fawn over?

    • @jaychu3850
      @jaychu3850 7 месяцев назад

      Because you don’t have to elevate it with different ingredients and make things fancy just to charge 10x the price 🤦‍♂️. It’s fried chicken. Would you do that to a hot dog? Hamburger? People try and it’s ridiculous that’s my point. Even his Korean bbq place… it’s mostly non Asian people who go cause they don’t know better. In Korea a down and dirty kbbq spot is way more popular and in my opinion a better experience than some fancy version of it.

      @@ContrarianDC_KAF goto Japan…. The fish quality is so good that there is very little difference between a $300 per person omakase and a good normal sushi meal or even revolving sushi. You’re paying for the name sushi chef who apprenticed for 20 yrs at another big name place.

    great and all, but after the trendies try this place for the 3rd and 4th times, the niche customers this restaurant caters to will find the next hip thing and the place will no longer thrive. i'd give this place maybe 2 years max.
