Lor'themar's journal Journal of the Regent Lord, entry 83 I cannot remember the last time I told anyone such a bald-faced lie, even since I was forced into politics. But I did lie to Aethas, and he knows it, and I know it, and anyone who heard me say it knows it. My will means very little, in fact. I can pretend my power is real, but in the end, it is all an act, and none of it is honest. I can wash my hands of it, play martyr, be victimized, and accomplish nothing, or I can fight and victimize others in my turn and thus become the essence of all I have battled. If I have ever rationalized my choices using any other logic, I was certainly lying to myself. Hawkspear was right: I deal with the devil indeed, but the Sunwell may never have been restored had we not sunk to those levels. He and Aurora can sleep soundly, knowing they have never compromised their ethics, but if they deny that they prosper in the wake of those who have, then they delude themselves as much as I. Here I find myself so close to believing that the ends justify the means. But the ruins of the Magisters' Terrace will haunt me forever, reminding me of the fate I tempt with that thought. This is the line I walk, finally knowing that the actions I take in necessity are nonetheless indefensible. Those truths can never be reconciled, but sometimes I can hold them both side by side and almost understand. I might call this revelation profound if I were ignorant enough not to realize that I am only learning what Kael'thas, and Anasterian before him, had also learned in their turns. All we can do is walk the road we are given with such dignity as we can muster, each to our own glory or demise, and pray that there yet remains something of our own hearts when all is said and done. By the Sunwell, I hope that there will remain something of mine.
This music makes me sort of sad. Not because of the blood elf lore, but because so few people travel through this city, no one ever hears the music or enjoys the spectacular architecture
I wanted to see if I could get my 3 cousins who also play bloodelves to come back to the game just if the community was decent on that server. Didin't think people were still role playing.

My very first char was a blood elf aswell and I just told my boyfriend: „This city called Silvermoon is my hometown. I was born here. My very first WoW char was born here.“
Silvermoon city was really aesthetically pleasing but it was always a bit empty. After the burning crusade it was pretty much abandoned for anything but a few quests.

Fact: Kael'thas was a victim of his circumstances and was forced into situations nobody else would want to be in, just to save his people. He succeeded by sacrificing his life, his morality, and his posthumous reputation and honor. When his father's kingdom crumbled and he knew there was no time for false glory, Kael'thas went into the literal and figural abyss. He didn't do it on his own, and because he had lost his orientation in the process he wouldn't have succeeded without the Naaru intervening and repairing what he had broken, and his own people betraying him, but in the end it served the purpose after all. Blood Elves who blame or hate Kael'thas, without remembering that he ultimately saved their lives and society, are ignorant rabble unworthy of his legacy. His story is tragic but he doesn't deserve being judged only for his later actions, but with consideration of the hoplessness he faced for his beloved people. In contrast to Azshara who only cared about her empire and who viewed her people as her possessions, Kael'thas cared about his people with his blood and he felt great obligation and debt towards them. I don't know if the music of Silvermoon has to sound peaceful, I find it to be slightly sad as if it shows the hardships through which the blood elves went through to build their new home. What emotions does this music invoke in you, guys?

Even if I didn't know anything about the Blood Elves' story, I think I would still get more than just sadness from their theme. There's an element of darkness about it, as well.
Solitude, secrecy and tension. Things feels cool, but there is something in the air... traveler beware, respect this place, deeper things are happening around.
Forever my favorite starting zone of all. Im an alliance player and thats a thing that we all cant change anything about, but I love the blood elves so much. They are the most beautiful race in wow and their culture and city is amazingly stunning.
WoW music makes me feel so alive, every second that goes by listening to it is another different sensation full of pleasure and glory that runs through my whole body, i enjoy so much these moments of my life where my happiness and oxytocin rise to the maximum, and the i feel in my fingers the sensation of touching the sky. I am so grateful to have been born in this generation to enjoy this beautiful composition, and masterful artistic work. The emotions i feel are so strong that it is inevitable for me to grab the blanket tightly.
Man, they should revamp the Blood-Elf starting zone, along with Draenei. So much to be improved upon, maybe, if Silvermoon were repaired (come on it's been like 10 years in lore...) and we could fly, more people would make it their permanent residence.
Damn truly this is a masterpiece, I used to spend all my time after school on silvermoon city as a lil kid. I wish I could see WoW as I did back when I was younger
When I hear this music, I can hear the voice of my old guildmates back in BC days: "Why are you leveling as a protection paladin!! It will take you ages to level up!" Precisely. I want to take it slow and enjoy the journey.
Back in time, when every momentum had a very important message. You can sense it in the gameplay, hear it from the music, and you can see it as they built up the blood elf zones. Where is it nowadays.. I think nowhere. Best hours and days in my gaming life were there. Wish there was a team that could create such a world, sad that it wont be WoW.
Ah yes, the eternal autumn of eversong woods, running carelessly thru the forest exploring every early game quest line for my blood elf rogue. The ghost lands will always be a fond memory.
I quit WoW in June of 2008. However, I was always a Horde player, and I leveled my Orc Shaman up to level 70 before calling it quits. I did make a Blood Elf alt and leveled him to level 15ish. I recall leaving him in Silvermoon and making him into a bank alt. I would often log on and sit there and listen to this.
Third year of college, I and a pal I'll call Ken used to roleplay as our blood elves, him more the edge lord, myself a quirky trickster. In character, I asked him "When are you going to break down that tough attitude of yours? Maybe it'll just take the right lady? Or even the right man?" - he didn't answer. I PM'd him "Still there?," he answered "Yeah, sorry, that hit me for some reason." - Little did I know he was still coming out to himself, and just wasn't ready yet either for himself or others. But he did eventually. He has a fantastic fellow in his life now. I still have Ken on facebook. Like many friends from college, we drifted away and just give each other the occasional like.
I wish they'd NOT never do it because it "doesn't pay off" Why was updating Ironforge or Thunderbluff more worth it than Quel'Thalas or at least Silvermoon tbh? Poor Blood Elves not getting any love 😔 Kael'thas wouldn't let this happen
I wish I could mod this entire game to be single-player-able with a character like Jak and Daxter or Spyro. I feel like the graphics and atmosphere are so similar that they would fit right in.
Time-stamp 31:20, 32:00, 32:30, 35:00 - I was looking for the soundtrack that plays in one of the maps in Rise of the Blood Elves. This seems to be it. It’s so good 😭
This zone used to be the biggest hussle and bussle for every Horde RP server. Now... Visiting the city, you won't find a single player. Not a single soul. Makes you quite sad...

crocevapp crocevap Hahaha true !😅
actually he just want to revive kel thuzad
yeah
Arthas was Stupid to destroy the Blood Elves
and revive Kel'Thuzad
this is the most beautiful zone of the game
When I hear this music, I can hear the voice of my old guildmates back in BC days: "Why are you leveling as a protection paladin!! It will take you ages to level up!"
Precisely. I want to take it slow and enjoy the journey.
Oh god, i love rp in this place, music and architecture are so beautifull
the eternal sun guides us
Back in time, when every momentum had a very important message. You can sense it in the gameplay, hear it from the music, and you can see it as they built up the blood elf zones. Where is it nowadays.. I think nowhere.
Best hours and days in my gaming life were there. Wish there was a team that could create such a world, sad that it wont be WoW.
Everness, well done man! I have thoroughly enjoyed all your videos! Keep it up!
Man I miss TBC so much. Blood Elf Paladin during TBC was peak WoW, hands down.
pls blizzard, make this game good again so I can come back to this place
When i first played this game i would say it was magical :) i don't play this game anymore but i wish so soon.
fuck i didnt realize how much emotion i had tied to this music in particular, miss these days
Ahh my first ever character... the memories
Ah yes, the eternal autumn of eversong woods, running carelessly thru the forest exploring every early game quest line for my blood elf rogue. The ghost lands will always be a fond memory.
I am OBSESSED with the music of silvermoon. I really miss those days ...
Thanks for this! My favorite city and favorite music
Love it most when like in this sequence the “camera” moves through the scene.Stuff of wonder!
Can anyone else hear the enchanted brooms and their sweeping?
Reminds a lot of when i used to play wow as a Blood elf hunter my first character.
It's so sad that Silvermoon is so far off the rest of Azeroth so few people regularly visit it.
oh my goddd, this channel is amaaaziiing, thank you! lol
+Heather Warren Thank you for stopping by! :)
1:34 the composer was listening to some wagner (ride of the valkyri anyone?)
Thank you. I really enjoy listening to it while working or studying. Gives me a good feeling :)
Like many friends from college, we drifted away and just give each other the occasional like.
tf did i just read?
Silvermoon is so pretty but doggone it...trying to remember how to get in and out ..remembering where the entrance was
Easy to navigate
This is the best location in the game
I main alliance but Silvermoon/Sunstrider Isle are my favorite areas in the whole game. Beautiful scenery and music
This video, is so nice my friend. Well done!
Wonderful as always! Keep it up!
Just so you know, there's a little bit of the Free Farsight UI at around the 45:00 mark or so
i love sneaking into eversong and silvermoon
I wish they would update the city already..
I wish they'd NOT never do it because it "doesn't pay off"
Why was updating Ironforge or Thunderbluff more worth it than Quel'Thalas or at least Silvermoon tbh?
Poor Blood Elves not getting any love 😔 Kael'thas wouldn't let this happen
I would really love to fly over this city
My home!!!!!!!! Beautiful.
I wish I could mod this entire game to be single-player-able with a character like Jak and Daxter or Spyro. I feel like the graphics and atmosphere are so similar that they would fit right in.
came here to bring back memories.
Amazing work :) Well done!
Hi man
Really enjoying your videos, really helps me to prepare for finals
Any chance you'll upload Grizzly hills music in the future?
Keep it up :)
+Yannay Levi Of course! I wanted to make it right after the Howling Fjord video but kinda... Didn't. It will be done soon enough :)
+1 for Grizzly Hills.
I really hope they will rebuild silvermoon to its glory without the scourge in dead scar and ghostlands will be part again among living and a new king
Great video! Thank you for amazing moment ^.^
*10 000 flashbacks of getting lost with the best music*
Damn, it feels like home
arathi highlands Ambience...that will be nice :) Like your Videos, keep it up.
Love that one recurring theme in BE music is pretty much Dies Irae but starting from the fifth instead of the third.
it helps a lot to meditation!
Time-stamp
31:20, 32:00, 32:30, 35:00 - I was looking for the soundtrack that plays in one of the maps in Rise of the Blood Elves.
This seems to be it. It’s so good 😭
Ahh, my home
Our gift of the arcane enlightens us.
Our gift of frost shields us
Our gift of fire empowers us
For some reason I always feel the urge to sing about razors when I’m in silvermoon.
45:08 there's the piece of software I was curious about - Makes much more sense now!
This zone used to be the biggest hussle and bussle for every Horde RP server.
Now... Visiting the city, you won't find a single player. Not a single soul.
Makes you quite sad...
