I’ve been brick filming for just over a year and I want to start getting into green screens, is there an inexpensive software that I can use for post that will allow me to make good looking green screen shots?
@Fin Krueger: you can either change the iso speed and Aperture on your camera to decrease the amount of light, or you can put parchment paper over your lamps to soften the light if you’re using LED lights
This was a pretty interesting episode, I always had issues with colour spills on my green screens, especially with filming the cockpit scenes of my Mo-Wol brickfilm.
Thanks once again, great explanation. I hope I can do a brick animation soon. Also I join to all those person that can not wait for the next episode of (brick) film school I wish you all the best and a great sucess. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thank you so much man your a legend . You really helped me out, I was thinking about a scene I was going to do and it required a greenscreen now all I have to do is just go on google 😂 p.s nice haircut Gus 🔥
The digital screen idea is absolutely ingenious! It’s completely self lighting, so you can set it as far away from the set as the size of the screen allows! It’s taken SOOO much color spill out of my chroma keying shots!
I've been trying super hard to find out how to have a blue and green character in a stop motion using green screen (Just on a phone). That thing with the ipad helps a lot!! thank you!
@@openshutterfilms Hey man no offense but I've been waiting for betrayal part 3 since I was 4 years old I didn't give up then and i still won't give up now but i can see why you would say that i mean seriously it's been 8 years also how long have you been waiting bro
@@brickpalaceproductions It is going to happen someday - The script is in the works! There is just a lot I want to put into it. I won't be able to live with myself if I never make it so it WILL be happening at some point haha
I’m thinking of making low budget lego stop motions for my lego channel. But I also wanna add some practical FX techniques into my videos as well. Any tips on which screen is best for cropping explosions and other effects into my stop motions and backgrounds? Also what size is best for lego stop motions? I wanna make sure it looks good without being too cheap or corny looking.
It's really weird. I've always known it by the term Chroma Key. The thing is, after hearing Green Screen for this long it seems that Chroma Key is the informal/incorrect term in my head.
No, you're right! It is formally called chroma keying - I simply use the term Green Screen to make it simpler for this video. both terms are acceptable 👍
What about for mobile because I make animations with legos and use stop motion studio. But the green screen is for money, you know any other app that at least you can use the green screen for free?
If you are talking about the green screen, I recommend using a laptop or pc for editing a green screen because it's more powerful. Stop motion studio pro isn't good at chroma keying. If you want a good editing software on your laptop, I recommend Hitfilm express because it is free and very powerful. You can also do some good VFX on it.
TwiistedCaptain Studios With the blue\green screen on the laptop version does it automatically change it into the background you want when you have deleted it or do you have to cut it out and stuff
If you have a specific question or anything you want to see in the next part - let me know here! 👨🏻🎨
How do you add the cool background lighting (like a sunset or sunrise)? As a new animator, I really appreciate these videos. Your work is amazing. 👍
How put the background of the green screen

Where can i download a green screen for ipad because all i can find is ones with black bars and i want to fill the ipad
Remember to download then zoom in on the image as far as you’d like and take a screen shot! This will let the green screen fill the iPad screen.
