Ahh my collaborator is here in the comments! Thanks for persuading me to do this, I think it turned out alright in the end, didn't it? :-) And thanks again for working with me on this video, it was a pleasure!
@@GoldPuffin 100% I thought it was awesome and your audience seems to be liking it. I wonder how the video will perform over time being that your channel is mainly focused around mocs now. It was a pleasure! Thanks! Hope to do more in the future.
The ice rink is clever because there are times when you forget where the minifigure has just been so with the paper you can see that. I guess you could also do something similar with footprints
The ice skating one gave me an idea, if I have a piece of paper, then I can put little tracks on it as the lego minifigure walks, I bet I could do that with snow angels too, but thanks for the idea!
i love the sinking sand and flash ideas/effects all of them a great 999999999999999 stars. also please consider other ways to make them jump and do a video on it.
Some great effects. I'm always impressed by practical effects although I don't use them often myself. Simple things like the ice skate lines and how the Flash motion blur just 'works'
After I finally watched that video about Lego Clash Royale the RUclips kept recommending me I slowly start falling in love with Lego Stopmotion. It's so creative and charming because it's "homemade".
There are a couple of wonderful ideas for special effects without using VFX in this video. Especially the skating effect is a good idea. I can imagine doing some footprints with this technique in my own stop-motion movies. Thanks for sharing this.
I don't know any other ways to do a ghost except maybe drawing it onto a sheet of clear plastic, or just building a ghost out of Lego and just using it like normal without making it see through - in one of my videos I showed a way to build a ghost here: ruclips.net/video/YcGae0Au2fY/видео.html or of course you can do your own design :-)
As for 7 I'm preparing short "background segments". Two of them are usually visible in the shot, and when one is no longer visible, I move it to the front, sometimes with some modification to look at least partially different.
@@GoldPuffin mine dont talk to me they just hide when I need them, I swear I built a forklift for my movie then built something else and when I was back it was gone and I spent like an hour looking for it and finally found it behind my bin
I have a few ideas for a stop motion film that I would like to see how they work 1. How to make someone dive 2. How someone can throw something 3. How to make a rocket or person fly 4. How to fall into a hole 5. Or maybe a football game 6. Or a lightning strike 7. How do you let a building burn? 8. How can a dragon breathe fire?
Hi gold puffin i have seen this video it is good but i want that you make video on that if we don't have lamp to make stop motion video then what we have to do
I used that effect in a video that I uploaded as unlisted, but basically all I did was take a video that someone had uploaded with the effect and then layered it over my video. I think I had to use several layers to get it right to show the circle of sparks first of all in front of Dr Strange and then behind Dr Strange as he stepped through it - basically to make Dr Strange appear in front of the portal I had to have the background, and then the layer with the sparks, and then the layer with Dr Strange in front and edit out the background from the front layer. You can see the result here: ruclips.net/video/mYU2rQmyvcs/видео.html (it's only a short video that I never really intended to be seen by anyone except by friend theLEGObros). You can get the green screen clip you'll need from here: ruclips.net/video/3M1-1DwUuqY/видео.html
Wowowowow, that flash effect is so simple but looks absolutely fantastic! Great to see you do some animations again :D

The ice rink is clever because there are times when you forget where the minifigure has just been so with the paper you can see that. I guess you could also do something similar with footprints
