I saw a lot of comments and tweets last night about how people were mad that Carlos accused Owen but he didn't. Carlos was giving TK the facts, he never said that Owen was the arsonist just that his dad probably had a good reason for arresting Owen. I felt so bad for Carlos in this scene he just just trying to calm TK down. And to the people who say this is out of character for TK you are wrong, I think this was the most in character reaction he could have had, you must have forgotten his fight with Judd last season or how he started a bar fight. He lash's out in unhealthy ways when he is upset, at least this is better than a relapse.
finally someone said it! Carlos was trying so hard to break down the news to TK but he didn't take it in an easy way. Carlos just doing his job and actually he wasn't supposed to tell TK at all but he did it anyway. TK was just upset and bit overwhelmed with the news that's all but that doesn't mean he was completely wrong because neither of them know what's going on

The only thing i think Carlos could have done diferently would be talking to TK more as his boyfriend and less as Officer Reyes, he could have been a bit less formal

@@KJ-ci6jz I don't think Carlos could have done much more here except keeping it to himself that he checked out Owen's story for a later time as that was like a red rag to a bull- but that is a hard one to call it could have just as well have blown up in face later if he told TK he kept that from him. If you see Carlos was talking in front of another police officer and on duty so he had to be measured with what he said/behaved and couldn't step too far out of police mode to boyfriend mode. I understand that TK was hurting but you shouldn't lay your hands on your partner like that. Yes Carlos is trained but when you have someone as a boyfriend you know won't fight back it is a slippery slope.

He didn't say that he thinks Owen is guilty, just that the process has to play out since there's evidence incriminating him. I don't really see how he could've handled things any differently. Maybe when he said that he checked up on Owen's story, he could've framed it as trying to find evidence that would clear Owen's name, but that's about it. I felt so bad for T.K. here. I was yelling “stop shoving him”. I understand why he was doing it, he was defending his dad. Carlos wasn’t hating or dissing Owen just delivering the news. I hat to think it could have escalated if Carlos had not grabbed on and held onto him.
I loved this scene because it shows that when emotions take over especially when its a usual dominate occurrence you don’t think logically and you do or say things you regret . tk would never try and hurt Carlos but he was so mad and sad he didn’t know what he was doing . Loved this

I feel like Carlos’s cop training really came in handy here. The way he kept his composure put together with the fact that he knows TK and knew he would never truly hurt him and then how he waited for the right moment to grab TK so that TK wouldn’t get hurt or be able to hurt anyone.
Kudos to Carlos who immediately informed Tk that his father was the ond who arrested Tk's. In most show I see the partner keeping such things secret to another and ending up with serious conflict and worst case breakup. Glad that they didn't pull that sort of crap for Tarlos in this episode.

TK shouldn’t have put his hands on Carlos. Yes he was upset about his dad’s arrest but Carlos was just trying to deliver the news. Carlos was even doing it in a formal “cop” way, you can tell by his stance(him holding his belt). Carlos said nothing bad about Owen and TK was just putting words in Carlos mouth. Love TK tho and I’m glad they made up
someone said they were foreshadowing t.k's relapse, obviously hope hes good but it would be interesting to see the relationship dynamics with his dad and Carlos.
I understand that TK is shocked and upset, and he absolutely should be... but shoving Carlos like that is a big no-no. Physical violence, even mild like this, is NEVER okay in a relationship. I know Carlos is bigger than him and those shoves barely had any impact, but that doesn't make it acceptable.

Testosterone is no excuse for shitty behavior. Being an adult means knowing how to control your anger and not lash out physically.

Tk completely loses his mind when he feels that something threatens his father. He is loyal to death to the people he loves and one of the people he loves the most in the world is his father. He is a very sensitive and passionate being and cannot always manage his emotions. If that was easy for him he wouldn't have gotten into drugs in the first place. It is useless for Carlos to try to reason with him in that emotional state. TK is unable to hear. He should leave him alone until he calms down. Judd is very wise to intervene.

But Carlos is Carlos and he will not lie to him; not even if he wants to calm him down and he just tell him the facts. TK says: "My father is not a criminal !!" Carlos says: "My father would not arrest anyone for no reason." They both know their dads and they are both right. Owen and Gabriel created this situation that confused their children and led them to this unpleasant moment. I'm not happy with this at all. Mateo, on the other hand, is the one who with his innocent manner and his blind faith in his captain tells TK what he needs to hear: that everything will be fine and that the captain is innocent as a falsely accused superhero, and that he will soon be at home. Childish ... but effective.

I just can't agree with TK shoving Carlos (quite forcefully) a few times and also demanding Carlos to pick sides, that is not being loyal or even fair to Carlos someone he loves. When Carlos tells TK his dad was the arresting officer Carlos says "I'm sorry" and TK replies "you're sorry" as if Carlos being sorry wasn't enough so it is obvious, like you said, whatever Carlos was to say there on in was going to fall short. However, I rationalise it as if Carlos was the one in trouble and accused of a crime TK would have been just as crazy, defensive and all over the place. They should make a pact from now on whatever happens between their parents they won't let it cause friction in their relationship.
@@swipeleft3996 Nobody agrees with TK pushing Carlos. Of course it is unacceptable behavior and that no matter how upset he is with his partner he must keep his hands to himself. And most of the time TK is pretty balanced. He's a firefighter and a paramedic for God's sake and we've seen him keep a cool head and a clear in enough emergencies to know that he can do it. (I've been a firefighter myself for 10 years and I know what I'm saying) But there are certain specific situations that are like TK's kryptonite and he just can't handle them. But Carlos did not enter into this relationship unaware of his boyfriend. He knows that TK has certain problems. And have no doubt that if something happened to Carlos TK he would be just as crazy or worse. I don't even want to imagine it. There are certain people who when faced with certain fears lose control and behave again as if they were children. I've seen it happen many times. Suddenly it's like TK is 12 years old, pushing Carlos, demanding that he choose a side..This is a full-blown child tantrum. He even later accepts Mateo's insane arguments about superheroes as consolation. That should give you a clue about his emotional and mental state. I do not justify it but I understand it. (And Carlos does it too since he's not even mad at him)

My husband is police and he can't watch this as the scenes where Carlos actually does his police work he says he is one of the worst.
I think this was a really well done scene. I don’t think it would have matter if Carlos shared the info in this more formal way or a more “boyfriendy” way. I think TK still still would have gotten wound up, b/c the info is very upsetting. However, even if TK’s reaction is predictable for his character, that doesn’t make it okay. Wish they would have had the two of them talk about this later. I think any physical aggression in a relationship should be addressed.
Yea, I wished they'd talked about it and addressed it, just because their men it doesn't make it ok. This isn't two friends getting upset with each other, this is a couple.
This was painful to watch. I can understand TK's anger for his Dad but seeing him coming at Carlos when he was Only giving him the info ABT his Dad's arrest was really hard to watch. I really don't like seeing them from fighting 😭
Not sure what the point of the shoves were. I feel like they were definitely in character for TK, but if they weren’t going to actually address it, they should have given him a different response. TK yelling in Carlos’ face would have been just as devastating without the added grossness of attempting to justify domestic violence. Tarlos deserves better than this.

Part of being an adult, and having a healthy, functional, adult relationship, is knowing how to control your anger. If someone gets violent with their partner, even once, the partner should leave. This doesn't rise to that level admittedly, it's not like he punched Carlos in the face or anything, but it's still definitely wrong. I get it, he was extremely upset - but TOUGH. That's life, you can't just lash out physically at people when something bad happens. Lol it’s normal when someone from your family is being accused of something not real. If it is in our country, a man or woman might punch you in the face for accusing his/her loved ones. I’m not justifying violence but it is a real human or animal emotion. If you accidentally, stepped on a dog, do you think will just run and cry? Obviously the dog will bite you, it just a normal instinct for all of us.
Knowing their history. TK’s the abuser in the relationship and the dramatic one. Victimizes himself too much and is too high maintenance. Poor Carlos has always been there but can’t seem to catch a break when TK gets into one of his moods.
I don't think Judd was taking TK's side. He just wanted to break up the fight and his best shot at that was appealing to Carlos, who was more cool-headed. Another person telling TK to calm down would've only pissed him off even more. I do agree that TK's behavior was shitty and that Carlos didn't deserve any of it, he handled things about as well as he could've. But I don't think Judd telling Carlos to go had to do with him thinking Carlos was in the wrong, it just seemed like the best and quickest way to diffuse the situation before it got even worse.
This fight was so dirty. I'm surprised they never talked about it afterwards. It felt like they were fighting about something more than what was initially shown on the surface. It was really uncomfortable. 💔

Judd should have kept his mouth shut. It's *only* because Carlos is TK's boyfriend that there weren't consequences for assaulting an officer. Contrary to what they may think, the firehouse does *not* belong to the Captain. TK and Judd might have both found themselves in handcuffs in the back of a police car if this had been a different officer than Carlos. That said, Owen and Gabriel also crossed a line with this deception, as shown by the fact that the arsonist went after them directly. I get the desire for secrecy, but TK and Carlos should have been in on. God only knows how many other cops and Rangers were.
This situation reminds us no matter how cute TK is this is how TK reacts. He got better with time but bar brawls and Judd's confrontation were there to tell us how TK reacts. It was not okay. It was assault. And that is not okay. But the point is, given the situation, TK lashed out because he just had five seconds to run through what was happening and Carlos, who had time to process the arrest than TK had, took it calmly. Later we see, TK apologizing and clearly Carlos, who faced it with a clear head, saying there's nothing to apologise. I feel like they should have addressed this situation in depth just like they talked it out about Carlos parents incident because domestic violence in relationships starts in this way with very familiar 'I am sorry, I lost my temper but that won't happen again' and it continues. But we clearly see that it was just a one time thing because TK loves Carlos and Carlos does as much and TK doesn't want to hurt Carlos at all. I guess that's a part of TK's character growth. I am glad that we have wonderful writers to bring this beautiful story to us and we have brilliant actors to give life to these characters. This is one of my favourite dramas and Tarlos is my third favourite couple of all times. I am glad that this drama is gifted to us.
Why would Carlos even deliver that news to the fire house? Like pick someone else. I feel if this was real both TK and Carlos would be benched because they are in such close contact with Owen.
Carlos wasn't working on the case, the Texas Rangers were. All he was doing was telling TK what he knew because he understood TK would worry if he didn't know where his Dad was. It's not like Carlos had any control over it, and that is a big part of why TK's violent reaction was out of line.

It was TK who asked Carlos to pick a side which was unfair. Also remember Carlos is still an officer on duty with another police officer watching the scene so he could not switch to full boyfriend mode.

Tk completely loses his mind when he feels that something threatens his father. He is loyal to death to the people he loves and one of the people he loves the most in the world is his father. He is a very sensitive and passionate being and cannot always manage his emotions. If that was easy for him he wouldn't have gotten into drugs in the first place. It is useless for Carlos to try to reason with him in that emotional state. TK is unable to hear. He should leave him alone until he calms down. Judd is very wise to intervene.

But Carlos is Carlos and he will not lie to him; not even if he wants to calm him down and he just tell him the facts. TK says: "My father is not a criminal !!" Carlos says: "My father would not arrest anyone for no reason." They both know their dads and they are both right. Owen and Gabriel created this situation that confused their children and led them to this unpleasant moment. I'm not happy with this at all. Mateo, on the other hand, is the one who with his innocent manner and his blind faith in his captain tells TK what he needs to hear: that everything will be fine and that the captain is innocent as a falsely accused superhero, and that he will soon be at home. Childish ... but effective.

I just can't agree with TK shoving Carlos (quite forcefully) a few times and also demanding Carlos to pick sides, that is not being loyal or even fair to Carlos someone he loves. When Carlos tells TK his dad was the arresting officer Carlos says "I'm sorry" and TK replies "you're sorry" as if Carlos being sorry wasn't enough so it is obvious, like you said, whatever Carlos was to say there on in was going to fall short. However, I rationalise it as if Carlos was the one in trouble and accused of a crime TK would have been just as crazy, defensive and all over the place. They should make a pact from now on whatever happens between their parents they won't let it cause friction in their relationship.

And most of the time TK is pretty balanced. He's a firefighter and a paramedic for God's sake and we've seen him keep a cool head and a clear in enough emergencies to know that he can do it. (I've been a firefighter myself for 10 years and I know what I'm saying) But there are certain specific situations that are like TK's kryptonite and he just can't handle them. But Carlos did not enter into this relationship unaware of his boyfriend. He knows that TK has certain problems. And have no doubt that if something happened to Carlos TK he would be just as crazy or worse. I don't even want to imagine it. There are certain people who when faced with certain fears lose control and behave again as if they were children. I've seen it happen many times. Suddenly it's like TK is 12 years old, pushing Carlos, demanding that he choose a side..This is a full-blown child tantrum. He even later accepts Mateo's insane arguments about superheroes as consolation. That should give you a clue about his emotional and mental state. I do not justify it but I understand it. (And Carlos does it too since he's not even mad at him)

My husband is police and he can't watch this as the scenes where Carlos actually does his police work he says he is one of the worst.

I think this was a really well done scene. I don’t think it would have matter if Carlos shared the info in this more formal way or a more “boyfriendy” way. I think TK still still would have gotten wound up, b/c the info is very upsetting. However, even if TK’s reaction is predictable for his character, that doesn’t make it okay. Wish they would have had the two of them talk about this later. I think any physical aggression in a relationship should be addressed.
The reason Carlos chose to do it was because he knew TK would lash out and if he did that with another officer he would've gotten arrested

Not sure what the point of the shoves were. I feel like they were definitely in character for TK, but if they weren’t going to actually address it, they should have given him a different response. TK yelling in Carlos’ face would have been just as devastating without the added grossness of attempting to justify domestic violence. Tarlos deserves better than this.

Why are people giving T.K so much crap? Yes, he wasn't right to react this way towards Carlos but it's better than having another relapse.
Part of being an adult, and having a healthy, functional, adult relationship, is knowing how to control your anger. If someone gets violent with their partner, even once, the partner should leave. This doesn't rise to that level admittedly, it's not like he punched Carlos in the face or anything, but it's still definitely wrong. I get it, he was extremely upset - but TOUGH. That's life, you can't just lash out physically at people when something bad happens.
Also, Carlos is obviously caught between a rock and a hard place, trying to do his job - and defend his own father - but still be a supportive partner to TK. It's not like he said that Owen is definitely guilty, just that the process has to play out since there's evidence incriminating him.

Knowing their history. TK’s the abuser in the relationship and the dramatic one. Victimizes himself too much and is too high maintenance. Poor Carlos has always been there but can’t seem to catch a break when TK gets into one of his moods.
TK was legit engaging in domestic violence, and Carlos was just defending himself. Shitty of them to take TK's side.
I don't think Judd was taking TK's side. He just wanted to break up the fight and his best shot at that was appealing to Carlos, who was more cool-headed. Another person telling TK to calm down would've only pissed him off even more.
I do agree that TK's behavior was shitty and that Carlos didn't deserve any of it, he handled things about as well as he could've. But I don't think Judd telling Carlos to go had to do with him thinking Carlos was in the wrong, it just seemed like the best and quickest way to diffuse the situation before it got even worse.

Judd should have kept his mouth shut. It's *only* because Carlos is TK's boyfriend that there weren't consequences for assaulting an officer. Contrary to what they may think, the firehouse does *not* belong to the Captain. TK and Judd might have both found themselves in handcuffs in the back of a police car if this had been a different officer than Carlos. That said, Owen and Gabriel also crossed a line with this deception, as shown by the fact that the arsonist went after them directly. I get the desire for secrecy, but TK and Carlos should have been in on. God only knows how many other cops and Rangers were.

This situation reminds us no matter how cute TK is this is how TK reacts. He got better with time but bar brawls and Judd's confrontation were there to tell us how TK reacts. It was not okay. It was assault. And that is not okay. But the point is, given the situation, TK lashed out because he just had five seconds to run through what was happening and Carlos, who had time to process the arrest than TK had, took it calmly. Later we see, TK apologizing and clearly Carlos, who faced it with a clear head, saying there's nothing to apologise. I feel like they should have addressed this situation in depth just like they talked it out about Carlos parents incident because domestic violence in relationships starts in this way with very familiar 'I am sorry, I lost my temper but that won't happen again' and it continues. But we clearly see that it was just a one time thing because TK loves Carlos and Carlos does as much and TK doesn't want to hurt Carlos at all. I guess that's a part of TK's character growth. I am glad that we have wonderful writers to bring this beautiful story to us and we have brilliant actors to give life to these characters. This is one of my favourite dramas and Tarlos is my third favourite couple of all times. I am glad that this drama is gifted to us.
Why would Carlos even deliver that news to the fire house? Like pick someone else. I feel if this was real both TK and Carlos would be benched because they are in such close contact with Owen.
Carlos wasn't working on the case, the Texas Rangers were. All he was doing was telling TK what he knew because he understood TK would worry if he didn't know where his Dad was. It's not like Carlos had any control over it, and that is a big part of why TK's violent reaction was out of line.
@@daniels7907 exactly, and he never said one bad thing about Owen. Tk was the one saying that Carlos dad was out of his mind and questioning Gabriel's integrity. It was TK who asked Carlos to pick a side which was unfair. Also remember Carlos is still an officer on duty with another police officer watching the scene so he could not switch to full boyfriend mode.
Also probably better that Carlos receive any reaction like that than another officer and TK ends up arrested.
