I own a small mechanic shop and we charge $10 a quart for oil and about $10 for a filter. It would come to about $60-70 on average. We don’t charge labor and only make maybe $20. We also spend the time and lube all joints and fill window fluids and check and top off any fluid that is low. I don’t think $76 is to bad as they have to make enough to keep the doors open…
I believe you, the cost of everything goes all the way down and affects everything. I guess Kyle just hadn’t went in to do an oil change in a while and was shocked at how much it’s went up 🥺

I prefer to catch an oil change special at the dealership. Many dealerships have some good sales. I can sometimes grab a $49.99 oil change using their bulk synthenic oil.

Rain x wiper blades are the best for the money they actually work right and im on 5 years on the last set i bought where the cheepies only last 1 year. But if when you wax your car take the buffer and wax the windows you almost never need to use the wipers.
I also agree with you Jenn about the stand alone/local coffee huts having lids to drink from instead of the straws. Soo Alaskans LOVE 2 things that some people always go "REALLY"?? We Love our COFFEE & ICE CREAM! LOL There's a ton of locally owned coffee shops here (even in the middle of nowhere in places) and fun fact, Alaskans eat more ice cream per capita than any other State!! Hahaha 😂 ALL year long. 🍦 ☕❤ That pink drink sounded and looked yummy, glad y'all liked it. Everything is more expensive here tho usually, so unless that's actually a competitive(good price) for us here, 76 there might be a little higher than usual. But, i think that "in general" , EVERYTHING car related, has definitely gone up. Jenn I have the exact same melamine dishes ( bowls and salad bowls) with the floral design, I also picked up the utensil set, and I absolutely LOVE mine. You really startled Molly when you walked up, Kyle.😂 Kerrigold Irish butter is the absolute BEST! I haven't tried too many sparkling waters, but I do like games Spindriff grapefruit, so I've stuck with it. Poppi has been popular, or at least I am always hearing about it. Haha I like a GOOD grape, I might have to try the Waterloo if it's good. & Oreo is going WHACKADOODLE with all their "Flavors" , I agreed with Jenn. 😲

Sometimes one of the dealerships will run a special for $49.99 for up to 5 qts synthenic out of their big oil barrel & their oil filter. Its hard to get in for an oil change around here on our schedule so with that and being penny pinchers we buy Costcos synthenic brand 5 qt jug for $39.99 & a mobile 1 filter for $15.99 costing $55.98 with our free labor. Project Farm tested Costco's synthenic oil & found it to be really good.

Hey Walmart has a their own brand of butter that is comparable to the Kerry gold and it is good. Reccomendation Bobby flav is that his name ?. It’s cheaper than the Keri gold and it is good. Give it a try if you can find they usually don’t have it in stock here because everybody buys it.
His name is actually Bobby Parrish, but they have their company, Flav City, so I knew who and what you meant. I call him that all the time too. 😂 He has a really good App that tells you quickly by scanning the barcode, IF it's " Bobby approved" also the name of the app. But it has most products in the markets. I love it. He also falls in line with the EWG ( Environmental Working Group) who also "calls out" all the Companies using junk in foods that only make US all sick eventually.
