DROOD...yay!, With all you have had going on, finishing 4 books should make you pleased. I've turned into a couch potato so I managed to finish 12 reads this month.
I haven't failed on HRCYED yet, but I think I probably will eventually. So far everything I've been reading has fit in somewhere and I've kept up on the new releases. I look forward to hearing about Drood!
You still read way more than most readers in a month! 👍 My October reading went well, but I've been busier than usual so I didn't get as much reading done. The highlight for me was the audio of Titus Groan and now I'm in the middle of Gormenghast, book 2. They are some of the most descriptive, bizarre, atmospheric, sinister, and wonderful books I've ever read/heard, and I'll be getting a physical copy asap. I also enjoyed reading The Evil Genius with y'all. 😊
Muse of Nightmares top rated?!?! And then I saw it was out of 4 books, and that the Wasp factory was the 4th book 😂 The storygraph calendar is so cool. Makes me think a bookish goal for 2025 should be to update storygraph every day so I can get accurate state and graphics. 🤔
I know! I did a double take when I saw Muse of Nightmares too. Like I said, basically explains the whole month. The calendar feature definitely motivates me to try and update accurately.
I am participating in the read what is on your shelf before you buy another book challenge which as a person who.loves books...and buying them is hard. However I am reading and listening to what is on my shelves. I want to finish all 16 books (including the 3 prequels) of the Left Behind series by the end of the year. I am on book 10. Audio books help. Am also looking at some possibilities for Nonfiction November...
@@noteworthyfiction I want to say blessings on you for reading what you could with all that happens in life...not to mention your move. Oh my goodness! L❤
Bummer you didn't get out the corn maze but your life has been kind of hectic with the move last month and probably trying to settle into the house still in October.
I liked the TV series of 'Our Mutual Friend' but I haven't read the book, his writing style isn't my favourite if I'm honest (I'll be hounded out of the Victober discord server probably!). 😆
lol, I completely understand. There are some books of his that work better for me than others. As far as his writing style goes, he's definitely not my favorite, but when he's good...he's amazing!
Good morning. Have you read Nether World by George Gissing? I struggled with reading in October. It's the craziness in the country. I am hoping that I can get back to reading after November 5.

Sounds like a good month!
I'm so happy you're reading Drood now. I can't wait to see what you think abt it.
So many thoughts already!

I figured the new release would get me as I NEVER pay attention to that.
Well. You have been so busy and have every reason to feel chaotic! Will try to check in and say hi Monday even though I’m working.
Hope you're well and that work is too!

Yes, I feel like I'm been running in a hamster wheel of late. Maybe I need to escape that next!

I have not, but I think I've heard of it and it's on my TBR list. I too am hoping things calm down in the country.
