I never fully played the game. My brother usually passed all the games we had and I played the 100% beat, everything unlocked part of it. Because of that I used to think Deadpool was a very serious superhero like Punisher but more brutal. No funny side to him at all

This game was what helped introduce me to Marvel characters, the only marvel superheroes I knew before I first played this game was Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, and the Fantastic Four. Even characters like Deadpool, Black Panther, Spider-Woman, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), Dr. Strange they all were completely new to me as a kid hell even Namor who wasn’t a relevant character until Wakanda Forever came out. I’ll forever cherish this game because of how it opened the gates for me to the Marvel Universe. I still remember getting jealous of my old childhood neighbor for owning the xbox 360 version while I owned the PS2 version and thought that his version looked way better than mine😂

This intro proves the MCU could've looked just as fine if they used comic accurate suits with dark and gritty color pallets and deep shadows. (Whether it's the classic or Ultimate comics) They look great. Sure at first glance, they could look corrny or silly but there's also stuff called "lighting" "compositing" "sets" and "cinematography"

Spider-Man barely interacted with Captain America and Thor. Unfortunately, we won’t get a scene like this because Steve Rogers became older (most likely deceased), Thor lost his badassery, and the X-Men will not show up in the MCU anytime soon.

Yes, there's a lot of terrible games released every year...but that's not new. Do you remember how many garbage games were on PS2 and Xbox? Remember Drake of the 99 Dragons? It's considered one of the worst games of all time and was an Xbox title. Yes, we get an uninspired Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty every year but then you have games like Phantom Pain, Uncharted, Alien Isolation, The Last of Us and other titles that set a new bar in both graphics, story AND gameplay. It's all subjective and saying "Gaming is dead now" is unbelievably ignorant. You sound like one of those "90's kids shows are better than kids shows today." You grew up in a different era, we get it.

I have to say....this was like the "Silver Age" of Marvel.
Games like this was like the closest thing we can go to when it comes to the wider aspects of the Marvel Universe.
While, upon the conception of the MCU, that was the start of the "Golden Age", which is the age we're living in now.
I will forever thank this game as this is one of the few games that peaked my interest and widened my knowledge
about other Marvel characters and lore.

This was my first video game ever and it was awesome the sequal was meh but this was a 10/10 for the time period

I remember this game and the marvel animated film Ultimate Avengers got me into the avengers. I’ll never forget saying “man I hope they make this live action.” Man a few years later I almost shat myself from excitement
