Does anyone else think this game's kind of disappointing considering the first game had 4 costumes per character, and this one's only got two?

Originally it was because the team had to decide between more costumes and better visuals but they could've added more for the remaster.
Jake P what's more disappointing is why the fuck the DLC not back on PS3 yet or at least a remastered or gold Edition

Personally I enjoyed just about all of em except for Thor, Songbird and Penence (and I haven't played this game yet so I don't know what the fuck's going on with Fury) but to each their own I guess
Meh, their not all bad. Carnage's was pretty cool. Deadpool, I feel like they could've done something like his X-force costume instead, but at least they didn't do his classic costume. Venom's wasn't that bad, either, and Spider-Man's looks kind of cool (in my opinion)

yeah....loved the fights on daily bugle...especially when you play as venom or spidey and have to swing to get back when you have been knocked out
Iron Man was OP in the game, especially in maps you can ring out on, like the Daily Bugle, and that alternate Spider-Man suit was the shit

Marvel Nemesis was fucking trash. The fights were so sporadic and sloppy, the powers felt like they had barely any effect or did TOO much damage, the ring out mechanic was absolutely ridiculous when you had characters who could fly and or swing, the Imperfect characters were super generic, etc. That game was shit.
Yeah it wasn't consistant. But i think people like it because it was a marvel game, but yeah could of been way better.
Look on the bright side guys, at least this game HAS alternate costumes.
1 alternate costume for each character when ultimate alliance 1 had 3. This games a joke.
Ultimate Alliance had 4. Besides, this game added more depth to combat than just pressing square.
Some games just do pointless reskins as “alternate costumes” as well.

Love how in every other Raven Software Marvel Game there are numerous skins however in this one,u get one and 9/10 its gonna be one thats obscure or little to no change(looking at you Mr Fantastic and Human Torch)
The alternative costumes sucked in this game apart from Gambits.

This game is so poor compared to the first game. I mean you could play as Victor Von Doom, Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Eleketra and many more.

mua2 needs a larger roster...i mean...penance? we need kickass heroes like ghost rider, doom, sabretooth...BUT....this game is old anyway and decent to play (prob more exciting when it was originally releases)...hope we get an exciting mua3 that offers a better/larger roster!!

I absolutely love this game and thought that Vicarious Visions did a great job. I didn't mind that each character only had one suit as Vicarious Visions explained that they had a choice between either giving them multiple suits or making the characters look as good as possible and they went with the latter, which I can respect. When you look at the character models and their details, the levels, assets, etc between the first and second part there's no contest, they look ridiculously better and extremely more detailed in the second part.
Should've picked more costumes, cus these models are ugly af.
@@cytorakdemon Huge disagree, the character models themselves look great. The alternate suits on the other hand are definitely of hit and miss.
To be honest, maybe a remaster or a remake of X-Men Legends II Rise of Apocalypse could have been better than this

Exactly, most are color swaps, like Team Ninja does with all of their games. UA2's and 3's suits suffer from the same problem: variety.

Honestly, in terms of everything else, MUA2 improved upon MUA1. From the level design, to the cutscenes, and how it combines two different Marvel stories but it somehow works. The only things that keeps it from being a perfect sequel (Or the best one) are the lack of extra costumes, the special character interactions like in the 1st game, and the cheats disabling your safe file.
This game was too rushed, it could have used more plot. Instead, it went iron man vs captain America.
Thomas Toledo the game follows the comic book version of the fight thru and thru,it wasn't rushed.you could say the script wasn't very good with it being the comics though

That's what it was supposed to be about, what got rushed was the civil war itself, we got thrown into the crappy nanite bullshit.
What would've been nice is if during the Civil War arc we see little hints of HYDRA operating the in the shadows. Then towards the end of the Civil War plot we see that the Super Human Registration act was all a scheme to try and control the world's super humans to help HYDRA take control of the world.
What happened to having like 4 skins for every character in the first one not only that each alternate skin for each character had unique upgrade abilities. In this one this just said fuck that and gave you shitty costumes that doesn't really do anything

Nevan Dempsey because this game takes place during the civil war storyline. This venom isn't Eddie brock which explains why his alt costume is classic venom.

Were there several versions of Ultimate Alliance 2? Because I had a copy for the PS2, and there weren't nearly this many characters (plus, there weren't even alternate costumes).
Back when it first came out there were a heap of "console exclusive" characters you wouldn't have seen on PS2. A few of them were bundled into this release, but not all.

Carnage, Cable Black Panther, etc were all downloadable for about a week or two before the developer decided to drop the license and then the game was basically unplayable between people with different DLC packs
I had the Wii version, and Jesus Christ, don't bother with it. It's horrible.

This game lacked the amount of costumes the first game had yeah, but gameplay, narrative, and voice acting was far superior in this one.

I miss this game, my one specific team was always Spider-Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, And Iron Man (if any change it was, Cable, Carnage, Thor, Captain America, Luke Cage, or Green Goblin) only specific favorites
Gods, I remember the limited time DLC, it went away, but you could still "download" it off the marketplace for free. Which I did, the characters didn't show up obviously, BUT if you plugged in the cheat to unlock all characters, the DLC characters showed up, and you could select them and play for about a minute or two before the game crashed.
Huh that explains why they never showed up even though I downloaded them multiple times

My favorite type of superheroines are the kind that are badass, yet very 'pleasing' to the eye.
I never knew some of these characters were in the game. Of course my version was on 360 back when it came out.

I liked the N-Space select screen better, however it doesn’t have alt costumes, which is a disadvantage.

They weren't in the original. They were added as DLC.

My most favorite character was gambit and storn and song bird was the best character and on psp or ps2 version they our more characters and in psp and ps2 marvel ultimate alliance 2 is short but in xbox and pc and ps4 its longer
My biggest regret is never playing this game I had a chance but it slipped away.
Let's hope that Ultimate Alliance 3 will have more costumes. It already looks like it has more characters.

• Ms. Marvel - Complete the first part of the second level (NYC Subway)
• Deadpool - Complete the second part of the third level (Washington DC)
• Hulk - Collect 5 Gamma Regulators
• Thor - Collect 5 Asgardian Runes
• Jean Grey - Collect 5 M’Kraan Shards
• Songbird - Join the Pro-Registration Act or complete the Negative Zone level if you choose Anti-Reg
• Iron Fist - Join the Anti-Registration Act or complete the Negative Zone level if you choose Pro-Reg
• Green Goblin and Venom - Complete the Wakanda level
• Penance - Complete the first part of the Negative Zone level
• Nanite Nick Fury - Complete the game in any difficulty
• Magneto, Psylocke, Juggernaut, Cable, Black Panther and Carnage - In the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions, they were DLC. With the remastered versions, they’re available from the beginning

Yeah they had a DLC pack, they removed it pretty quickly after it was released. The only way to get it now is if you happen to locate a Download code for MUA2 on PS4, XONE or Steam, those versions include the DLC
