    Thanks for your help in the replacement of my alternator belt. My son and I did the job this morning, following the method you described in the video. Worked perfectly. Tried the engine, and no problems. I've got a few other jobs to do on my Peugeot 207 sw vti.ill look for more ideas and videos. Once again, many thanks. An hour's work, and job well done. done. 😊

    In case anyone needs to remove and replace the tensioner itself, the bolts are very long because they also go through the alternator which makes it basically impossible to get the bolts out because they hit the radiator. If you loosen the alternator (one extra bolt below the 2 bolts that hold the tensioner) you can turn the alternator it so that the bolts can come out without hitting the fan or radiator

    Thanks for posting this video and the others you've made on this car. Ive bought am identical model from salvage as a summer project. I have a water leak from the driver's side of the engine. If it's not the water pump it looks like it might be the union for the hose that runs from tye expansion tank down past the pulleys and back up to the rear of the head, possibly into the inlet manifold, can't quite see. Any idea what the access is like to unclip that hose? Looks like the water pump pulley might have to come off. Definitely not accessible from underneath.

      Thank you for supporting words. That section is quite difficult to access and to be honest, I've never needed to go that far behind the engine. By removing air filter housing you can access inlet manifold and throttle body from above but connection you're mentioning is below manifold, I believe. Pulley side of water pump can be accessed from drivers side wheel arch, you'll have to remove wheel and wheel arch liner.
      I've found this video for you
      ruclips.net/video/DWJI3NLmad0/видео.html
      That might help
      Good luck and please let me know how did you got on with it

    Hi! Just got a question: do you also have a tutorial how to change the alternator of this car? Cause i have mine removed but can’t move it out the engine bay without removing everything 😢

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  6 месяцев назад +1

      I don't have that video yet. It is very tight fit, it should come up but you'll have to remove few bits and bobs. It is going to be a fiddle to slide new one down as well. Take it easy 👍

      @@mrfxr1695 Yeah i guess. Well thanks for your response:) In case you still planning to change your alternator soon. then i’m looking forward to it.
      But what would you recommend removing? Some part of the top side of the bumper? Or the aircon compressor? Or the inlet manifold?

    Hi, I want to replace the waterpump tensioner or what is that. But at the online parts store giving me 2 options: mechanical or electric, and I don't know how to find out which is good. My engine code is 5fw. Can you suggest something how to find out? Thanks

      I only know for mechanical tensioner. I've had a look on internet and found this www.ebay.co.uk/p/3004036576
      I hope it helps 🤞

    4:20 there is a small tab on the tensioner to hold it in place while you remove the belt.

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  9 месяцев назад

      Yes it is, on the top right. I was using it to release the tension but it didn't want to stay released so that's why I pulled tensioner wheel down with my left hand simultaneously
