My baby hairs in the front are coming out due to my bonnet. Tried going without but really need one.( I have high prosperity hair and my hair is damp every night) Also tried a silk bonnet with it, but it just slides off.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help. 😊
@@memekendall3197 my daughter has the same issue, and a silk pillow case has saved her hair line. And also I moisturise her hair line everyday with a butter.
@@justjenny581 Thanks for the tips. 😊 I use silk pillow cases too,(probably should have stated that) but since I sleep "wild" sometimes I use the bonnet to keep my hair together and kept my hair from drying out. I've tried to keep the bonnet on my forehead, but somewhere in the night it slips off. As far as butters.....to thick for my hair. Will find an solution, has to be a company out there that has one.
@@memekendall3197 there definitely is something out there that will work perfectly for you. Someone told me it the lastic in the bonnet that probably ripped the hair out. I use a silk durag and that works well for me. That way you control the tightness. I sleep wild too sometimes and it stays on all night. I got it off Amazon.
@@justjenny581 Oh!! Great idea! Will look on Amazon. Looks like you may have found the solution for me quicker then I thought I would find. I'm glad I took a chance and asked the question. Thanks again for not just reading my question, but taking the time to answer and three times.
Thanks! 🙏
Edit: error in info.
I have several of the products you mentioned! The RevAir has been the single most impactful purchase I have made for the health of my hair. Like you said-I cannot go back!!
If you like Curl Origin or SheScentIt. They have a fourth sister company called Sprouted Curlies. Their kale and avocado mask is my favorite from them. Gorgeously Kinky is the third sister company, but the website is currently closed.
A fourth company?! Lol. I knew about SheScentIt but had not idea about the other two. Thank you for sharing that with me. 😊 I will definitely be trying the Kale and Avocado from Sprouted Curlies. I've already been wanting to try everything on the SheScentIt website. 😄
This is such an important video, thank you for your well thought out, well edited, well produced content.
Ahh thank you so much. I really appreciate that. 🥰💗
Great video. I also feel the Camille Rose curl milk is a bit different in smell and the moisture level. It use to be more moisturizing in my opinion.
I’ve noticed this with most of CR og products. Their curlaide moisture butter used to be highly moisturizing and smell like vanilla frosting, but now it’s drying and smells like cinnamon. Same for the hair milk and almond jai, except the almond jai isn’t as thick as it used to be. The coconut water leave-in used to be thicc, but now it’s watered down. The fresh curl used to be moisturizing, but now it’s watered down and oily feeling.
So I'm definitely not alone in feeling like something is off with that hair milk. I wish I had an older bottle to compare the ingredients too. If it has changed that's seriously a bummer.
Thank you for sharing this Tiahna! I really appreciate how detailed your observations are. There are so many reasons a company might decide to change their ingredients (misaligning with the retailer that carries their line, ingredients no longer being available or cost of ingredients increasing) and I really hope if Camille Rose has changed their ingredients that they have done so still understanding how important quality ingredients are and that they are making plans to go back to more quality products in the long run. Camille Rose is one of the few brands left in-stores that create truly moisturizing hair products and it's important that those who are new to healthy haircare can still access quality hair brands in-stores. Also, I used to use the coconut water leave-in collection and almost forgot about it, lol. Your comment brought back memories. 😊
I've had a Q-Redew for over 5 years, using with filtered water and its been great, only replaced the reservoir once, got a back up one just incase and got the bottle to help clean incase there is a clog. Definitely worth it.
I really want to try all the Curl Origin products and the Melaning haircare product. So I will give them a try. I'm happy you are feeling better🤗🤗
I hope you find some holy grail products out of everything that you try! 🤗 And thank you so much. ❤️❤️
I will try the Curl Origin Maracuja Hair Milk, and the Melanin Elongating hair cream. Great video, I so appreciate your time! Your hair looks amazing!
Thank you so much for watching Jackie and for the love! ❤️ I appreciate your time as well. 😌 I hope your hair likes those two products!
Great content as always and thank you for sharing❤ There are so amazing products on your list!! I love it! I have a love hate relationship with Camille Rose, I love the moisture it gives but I don’t love the smells…they are too strong for me and recently I also feel they’ve maybe added more fragrance and less moisturizing ingredients but they are still a go to for my twist outs. Curl Orgin got me for the Black Friday sale!!! 😂
Thank you beautiful 💗 That's so interesting that you say that about Camille Rose. I can see how if you don't like the scents their products would be a bit annoying because the smells are loud haha. I feel that way about the Adwoa line, I love their products but can't take the scent. And I knew I wasn't tripping about the Moisture Milk feeling slightly off! Side note, I racked up for the whole year during the Curl Origin Black Friday sale 😂
Hi there! This video was really helpful! Thank you for always bringing such important videos! I took notes!! Hugs 🤗❤️
Aww, thank you so much 🥹 You are very welcome!
I definitely want to try the Curl Origin hair butter, Oyin Hairdew, Boing and/or Shine & Define, and Melanin Twist Elongating hair butter. I also want to mention some products that I recently discovered help with dry scalp. I have had a jar of Oyin's Burnt Sugar pomade for 3 years. I decided to try it on my hair and scalp recently, and it helped alleviate my scalp psoriasis in one use. I also just discovered that the Shea Moisture 100% Coconut Oil Daily Hydration rinse out conditioner (used as a refresher/moisturizer) is awesome for alleviating dry scalp and so is Mielle Pomegranate & Honey Twisting Souffle.
I use the Q-Redew hand held steamer & it has done wonders for my low porosity hair, especially for my back section that would frizz up all the time. The Q-Redew is way more effective for me than my old steamer that was on a pole & rolled on wheels. I think that it currently sells for approx. $100.00 on Amazon.
@PowerinYourCurls....best advise ever- layer, layer, layer on moisturizer. That by far has really helped my hair blossom and grow. Thanks chicka! Btw....have you ever tried a Banana hair masque(The bodyshop banana haie masque) makes hair sooo soft. My crown screams hmmmyummy!🙌🏾🥰🌻
Thank you so much Kenya! Been following you for years and you put me on to some of my faves like the Curl Origin double moisture mask. Good to see you making content again!
Thank you so much. Great product suggestions ❤️
Great review by product category. Thank you. My biggest issue for my 3B low porosity hair is either crunchy results or greasy to the point where smudges might be left on a headrest, etc. Neither situation is acceptable. Recent product experiences: Mielle in the hot pink bottles smells great (a little strong) but the curl cream left my hair stiff and a little tacky. Same with the It's a 10 Coily Product Line. Also, bottles are ridiculously small. Curl Keeper Styling Cream and Original also left me crunchy. Looks like Curl Origin might be a good next try. I will use your links & will stay tuned for your next video.
I agree that the curls love moisture milk has changed as well
Thanks
I been natural for 5 years
. My hair is a struggle.
So so dry .
I don't like my hair to be wet in the winter when I have to go out.
Looking for the right hair products.
For moisture and shine.
You name it
I buy it. Lol
It can be incredibly frustrating not knowing what works best for your hair. I hope this video helps at least a little bit with guiding you closer to your go-to hair regimen. 🫶🏽🤗

I hear you! I’ve been natural for the past 4 years made to my 5th year as of June of this year! and I’m no product junky but I found that new school products just don’t do it for me! I went old school threw all those products away, I bought queen Helene cholesterol, bb oil moisturizer lotion, Africa’s best mayonnaise and blue magic. Also spritzing the hair with distilled water assisted in my dryness and if you don’t want to go out with a wet head-then don’t m-blow dry it for 15 minutes and protective style your hair just like mothers who knew how to do natural hair would do for their daughters. 😊
I just purchased the revair 🙌🏾🙌🏾 my Christmas gift to myself. I used the link but couldn't use the code with the black Friday sale. Thank you
Great video! I saw this video after I made a BF purchase of Curl Origin products. I judt ordered some of the same products you recommended. I also have the Melanin Twisting Cream and the Curl Love Moisture Milk. I look forward to using them all this fall and winter. 🥰
Okay I just thought of another question. Do you have any COMBOS that you use that work best on your fine strands? I do use gel, but usually botanical gels. Sometimes I may slip in a comb or two but for the most part I'm using natural gels. Just trying to get an idea of some of the ways we can pair all of the products that you suggested in the video. Again especially the curl origin leaving conditioner.!!! Thanks!!! 🤗🤗🤗
That is a good question! My favorite combo right now (for fall) is the Curl Origin Hydrating Leave-In, Curl Origin Maracuja Rich Moisture Hair Milk, topped with the Melanin Haircare Twist-Elongating Styling Cream. It gives me super moisturized and defined hair for at least two weeks (wearing twists for one week and a twist-out for the next week). For a wash and go, I like the the same leave-in and hair milk and then I follow it with a mousse. My favorite mousse is the Mielle Brazilian Curly Cocktail Mousse. I don't use gels often.. they usually only give me definition for about 2 days and then my hair just gets frizzy but you can try swapping the mousse out for your favorite gel. 😊 I can do a video on how to pair products together for your different hair needs if that would be helpful.
@@PowerInYourCurl thanks so much for your some of your favorite combos, I'll definitely be trying them. I do use the mousse sometimes, but I definitely haven't mastered it yet. But thanks so much and yes I would love love love and combos video!!!! 💞💞💞💞
New subscriber here, I love that you mentioned water base products, because I discovered that they actually do moisten my hair better than other products (I have low porosity and medium density) Distilled water is my friend-everyday I spritz my hair with distilled water and also add it to my products. And It works better. I love how you mentioned winter time products it’s important for people to know we have to change up our routine as the seasons change!😊 keep the information coming sis I’m here for it!
KENYA, now you know I'm a straight-up product junkie so I bought everything on your list but I didn't have!!!! Except for the Revair 🤣🤣🤣🤣 however I do have a question for you if you were to use a gel, what GELS work well with the curl origin leave in? THANK YOU FOR SUCH AN AWESOME PRODUCT LIST 💞
Uncle Funky curly magic pairs with curl origin’s leave-in and hair cream in my hair.
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 Thank you!!!!
You came prepared! 😄❤️ I think the Curl Origin leave-in plays nice with just about any products because it's lightweight and slippery. I am not the biggest gel user but the gels I HAVE used with that leave-in and really liked the results are the Camille Rose Curl Maker Gel and the Mielle Honey Ginger Styling Gel (this was years ago though). I would like to try more gels this upcoming year to find ones that have great ingredients and give longer lasting hold.
@@PowerInYourCurl Thank youuuuuu!!!! 🤗🤗🤗. Honestly, Curl Origin & Shescentit gels are amazing gels! Also the nature's little secret flaxseed & the Okra defining gel are too notch. The Tre luxe & Obia Naturals custard is amazing. I would love to see you incorporate gels into your hair regimen. They are amazing especially when you can get them all natural and on the ground.
@@PowerInYourCurl I hope you don't leave us again!!!!! 😪😪😪😪 I've been checking for your hair videos! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Also how do you layer your products for twist outs? Leave in, hair milk, hair cream, oil?
Hello Beautiful I hope you are feeling better 💗. Love the content 💕.
Thank you so much 🤗 I'm feeling much better! I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Queen. 💛
6:22 You are so unbelievably beautiful and you have such a beautiful hair, too
Great video as always. I was watching one of your old videos. It was about itchy scalp. You used head and shoulder shampoo and conditioner combined. Are you using product now? I am looking for a product for itchy scalp. Thanks
I’ve had a Hutuful hair steamer for years and never had any problems
I need to try Curl Origin❤❤❤
I love the detangling qualities with melanin leave in but I have trouble getting long lasting definition with the elongating style cream. I’m low porosity fine to med density, any advice? I’m trying to create the best product combos for long lasting twist outs
Great video!
I'm glad you enjoyed it Cheryl ☺️
Hi hermosa, what a about SHAZ & KIKS, are you ever try it? Blessings
Your hair is Beautiful ❤❤😊😊Great content 😊😊
do you dye your hair if so which hair dye do you use and what color?
curl orgin hydrating leave in..is forever a staple..
Wowee beautiful😍😍😍😍
So are you sure you're hair is fine and low porosity? I get buildup very easily and cant imagine layering products or going more than a week without washing my hair. I actually found that less is more. The softest my hair ever felt was with just shampoo.
I’m in Southern California. I really don’t change up my products.
Is this for 4c hair
If your 4C hair is low or medium porosity or you have fine or medium strands this video is for you. 😊
