i love this advice. when i learned Godot i had already learned many game engines so by then i just took tutorials from different places to make my own game
You are totally right Alex, im in your unity rpg course and sometimes I run into bugs that have not been disclosed yet or are just mine because I did alternative things or made some other custom stuff. Its just because I have been trying to test and create things in top of the course. The feeling when I realize something is wrong in the code and I fix it before you disclose it is so satisfactory, makes you feel like you learned a lot! Its all about aplying what you learn
Hello Alex, before taking your classes I was desperate. I had followed tons of tutorials and couldn't reproduce anything. Today, after taking your classes, I can (finally) write a movement script on my own. Even though it may seem simple to many people, it was a challenge for me. Now, succeeding boosts my confidence and makes me want to learn even more. So, thank you, Alex!
Outstanding video. I kept getting told "make Pong, or Tetris", and all I thought was "why? that's not my dream game" I didn't understand the value of making simple games. I promise you this, if you understand the basics, your game will not remain simple for long. Scope creep is the next boss behind the fog wall.
I am a Unity learner from China, and I really enjoy Alex's courses on Udemy. I have learned a lot from you that I couldn't learn from Chinese teachers. You are really much better than them. Also, I hope you can create a tutorial on the Behavior Designer plugin in the future. I really want to learn from you on that aspect.☺
You just got my subscribe^^ As a beginner, I am happy to find a channel like this, where I can learn from you and get inspiration from your videos. Thank you!
Your chanel is like a star it shine but it not shine enough to let the people see it but if someone can see this star that someone will never forget this star when i start learning Unity to make my own 2d game me is like What i'm gonna do next and i spend so much time to learn c# and i found this star and now i can make my own code and i can Adapt your code to my own code many thank to you Alex to make tutorial
@@unityalexdev Synthetic Selection or Procedural animation. It allows to make dragon like enemies. I know it is a high level development matter. But you find a way to teach everything simply. :)
just discovered this channel and I really like your videos. Do you think you can make tutorial about state machine(finite state machine), I really want to know more about those but it seems a bit hard
Ive been recently trying to make a big game, i did stuff partislly myself and partially fron tutorials 😅 from now on i plan to do things myself by learning from the docs and brainstorming. Is this a good idea?
Study the docz on the languange and the game engine. Tutorials can be used as a template, but docs will give you wings. Also do not neglect studying computer science and math from time to time.
Hello alex I have been following you for a long time and you have taught me a lot of things, thank you for that, if it is appropriate, can you make game courses such as agar io slither io hyper casual games car parking or racing games survival games. I can do some of these on my own but I am sure I will learn many different techniques from you thank you
in the beginning I was actually forced to watch tutorials because unity's documentation is so messed up and the examples are terrible if they're even there, but a set of creators on git made better ones and now it's so easy to just write you're own code
Bottom line - Make small project! By the way how about video with 5-10 ideas for simple video games ?😊
i love this advice. when i learned Godot i had already learned many game engines so by then i just took tutorials from different places to make my own game
Yes it would be a great idea! more awesome if it would contain some trending hypercasual games as well
Alex is one of the best teacher I have found on internet. Learned a lot from his courses! Thx! 🙏

Video tutorial about how to stop watching video tutorials.
Satire Level Increased. :D
The world we live in :D
The part about finding a bug in a tutorial and fixing it is a great point I've never heard brought up before. Definitely a huge dopamine rush.
TRUE!
Dude, I had such a good laugh at the well timed screaming marmot meme at 0:26 🤣 SO true by the way.

That's the great opportunity then! If you don't drop it ofc, you have a great future! Keep it up🤟
I think my biggest issue, besides still needing practice, is my lack of confidence in myself. I need to stop being my worst enemy.
Amazing video ... can you tell me where this prototype comes from , the one on second 0.22 the 3d top down
Hey! Thanks for asking. That's actually from my latest course on how to make 3d top down shooter - ruclips.net/video/x5ZmkLKT_gs/видео.html
