I always carry an Impact Wrench. Since tire shops tend to over tighten lug nuts an impact wrench comes in extremely handy if you have to change a tire. A 25" breaker bar from Harbor Freight is also very handy.

I agree with you 100%, an impact wrench is definitely another must have tool. I'm gonna have to add one of those. Thanks for the comment 👍

I own a tool bought around 1990 called a “Lug Buster”. It’s a 1/2 inch drive ratchet handle (with a very long handle for leverage), a number of sockets that fit most lug nuts, a socket extension, and an L-shaped piece of steel through which the extension is fed. The L-shaped piece is a foot pedal to hold the extension steady while the ratchet is turned. Works well.

I have a few zip ties in my bag. The Ryobi inflator takes quite awhile to inflate a tire, so I cinch a zip tie around it to keep it running while I do something else. Then cut the tie off. You can get them really cheap at Harbor Freight.

@@leeb.7188 - double sided Velcro straps would be better, just keep it wrapped around the handle of the tire pump when not in use.

When I was 18 I took my first long trip in an old VW Bug. The car broke down on the highway in the middle of nowhere, and a young couple stopped to help me. The problem was that the metal “arm” with a hole on the end had become disconnected and couldn’t pull whatever it was that allowed gas to flow to wherever it was supposed to go. All he needed was a piece of wire. He asked if I had a bread tie, a hair pin; anything that contained a piece of wire. Finally took a safety pin from his baby’s diaper. Nice guy! But ever since, I’ve always carried a strip of wire.

Wow, good thing it was a simple fix. I usually pack black tape and duct tape. But I'll probably start packing some wire too! Thanks for sharing! 👍

Hmm, great vid! I have most of the tools there. Demonstrating the area light at night next to your tire/wheel would’ve been a good idea for this vid. I might upgrade one or two batteries in this kit to the HP version for more power and the battery indicator. Would you consider swapping in the Ryobi USB Lithium inflator if to usually just to top off your tires as you showed here and maybe take up less space in the bag? Then make a follow up vid to evaluate any changes to this kit?

Great call outs, yes I actually thought about taking night footage next to the vehicle after I had already uploaded the video. But could definitely include some next video. I also have thought about getting the USB lithium inflator as it is more compact and I can sure use the space to throw in another tool! So definitely on the to do list to upgrade the bag. Once upgrades are done, I'll share another video. 👍
