For horse movies, Spirit is by far the best.
But also, with that upper layer you have found the absolute perfect color combination for chocolate and peanut butter. It looks so yummy!

I'm pretty sure Spirit is a Buckskin due to coloring. As far as a horse movie, I love both Black Beauty & Flicka. My favorite horse series would 100% be Heartland (which is based on a great book series, too). Free Rein is another good one. We also love Spirit in this house (the movies & series). The horse would stand out a bit more in a burnt orange tone, but the soap looks great. Even the "mess ups" look more like hilly terrain, so it still works. 🐎🐴

The real spirit was bay dun, but in the movie his dam was palomino but he had a dorsal stripe, so I'd say dun, but could be dunskin. But, it's just a movie so it's inaccurate

The dips in the grass look good.Morehill likeand natural looking. Also I would do the horse stamp in a burnt orange. Thats another color that is big in the spirit movie and it would help the horse stand out.

Spirit is a dun! If he didn’t have the black line down his back he’d be a buckskin. And cheers to all my fellow horse girls! Black Beauty (1994) is my all-time favorite movie! And Spirit is also absolutely incredible. Dreamer wasn’t bad. The Black Stallion was good, too.
The Black Stallion books were some of my favorites as a child. The movie is not so bad. Also, remember Sea Biscuit. I haven't seen Black Beauty. A tad older is National Velvet.

I loved the Black Stallion books as a kid! I think I read almost every single one (there are some pretty weird ones out there 😂). I enjoyed the movie a lot too, as long as I wasn’t expecting it to be the same as the book.
You had me the minute you said Spirit! I ADORE that movie! The story, the music...it's honestly so underrated and the fact that people only know it or remember it now because of the Netflix version is a little said.
Spirit is one of my all time favorite movies! I was a horse girl without a horse growing up and this was one of my staples.

Long time horse girl here: I approve! And yes, Spirit is a dun colored horse. The main difference between them and a buckskin is the black dorsal stripe that runs down their back. It gets more complicated when you get to the actual genetics of it. I personally like the uneven grass because it reminds me of the rolling hills. My some fav movies are Black Stallion, Secretariat, and Hidalgo.
Sylvester is one of my all time favorite horse movies. Also The Man from Snowy River, the Black Stallion, the Black Stallion Returns, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken and while it isn't a horse movie, Ladyhawke....because Goliath is fantastic
Goliath is almost shockingly stunning, especially at the end of the film!
Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken is my favorite horse movie. I watched it so many times as a child and played pretend that I was her. Jumping from the couch to my horse (aka the back of the couch) lol. Such good memories. The soap is beautiful. I love anything that has a tea scent. Yum 😊
Dun is brown in Gaelic (thanks Outlander ;) ) I've never been much of a horse girl but The Man From Snowy River has always held a place in my heart.

Also, Dun is the correct color. Spirit has what is called a Dorsal Stripe (that dark hair line down his back connecting his mane to his tail). It's a common coloring feature for the Dun color line.
I especially liked the second soap you held up with less dark brown and the 'little hill' of green. The dark brown looked like a tail or main in the wind, and the green looked like a hill, and also, the stamp stood out better on the lighter and clearer background. You just get the horse and cowgirl or cowboy vibe better. Good job! 🐎🐴
When I saw a "horse soap", I was worried about which scent you would use... It could have gone many "interesting" ways. You made a good choice! hahaha

Spirit is all my 3 year old daughter will watch now. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m so proud of her.
I'm so so glad that Spirit is getting more and more love. I have it on VHS and still own it. I watched it so so so many times. It's my favorite horse movie by far, the story, music and the cinematography. My next favorites are Black Beauty from Warner Bros. , Flicka with Tim McGraw and Allison Lohman, Racing Stripes (even though its about a Zebra). And finally for my fellow Pony Club Members, was Monocerus.

(Also, many say that Spirit is a buckskin even though he is actually dun. Buckskin looks kind of palomino but with dark/black legs, mane & tail. In finnish the colour is called litterally a mix between bay and palomino, which it is! Palomino with "bay markings")
I’d argue calling buckskin a ‘type of palomino’ is more confusing tbh. I’d call them types of cream if I was phrasing it that way; with buckskin being cream with a bay base and palomino being cream with a chestnut base. Also completely unrelated but I headcanon that Spirit is both buckskin and dun, and his mother is palomino and dun as her white markings would hide a lot of the dun markings lol.
@@spots6450 To have a horse be buckskin it needs to have a "palomino gene". I'm not sure what all the terms are in english😅I have also wondered if he is buckskin or dun, but the "official" Spirit horse in real life is dun!
@@aliisaheino That gene is called Cream in English! Which is why I'd call it types of cream lol. It's interesting that in Finish palomino is treated as the 'base' version of the gene - I imagine it might be because people used to confuse buckskins with dun horses but it's pretty hard to confuse a palomino horse with another colour.
The swirl looks like mountains. Spirit is the best horse movie. I went to see it twice at the cinema, the second time was straight after coming out of the Scooby Doo movie because I was so disappointed and needed cheering up 😄🥰

My mother who has passed away was a horse girl!! She and her sister rode them when they were a young girls! This soap is beautiful and does remind me of Spirit the horse.. Great job ! My favorite horse movie of all time is War Horse! I cry every time I watch it and I've seen it many times! The curses of a tender heart!

I used to have this movie on tape and would spend an entire day watching, rewinding and rewatching it lol. The music and animation had me hooked lol!
My favourite horse movie is Dreamer with Dakota Fanning. It’s about a girl who’s father is a race horse trainer. The horse her father was training fell and broke her leg during a race. The owner wanted to put her down but the father bought the horse to rehabilitate it. It’s actually based on the true story of Mariah’s Storm. I also loved The Saddle Club movies.
Spirit is such an amazing movie! The soundtrack, the animation, the story - it's all beautiful.
