... because the writers are sadistic picks who love ripping relationships apart and then say it's to bring "awareness" to alcoholism, Phil already did that, as did Lauren...... I don't buy it, they pinpricked this couple all the way through, rape, Linda's cancer, Micks emotional affair with Whitney, Ollies Autism diagnosis and now Linda is a raving alcoholic. @Anne Phair yes but a lot of us watch hoping for a glimpse of positivity, escapism because life is already stressful, there's no where to turn in EE, Calum death threat, Ben's evilness, Linda going mental, Honey leaving her family because she's now anorexic, Grey is a wife beater, it's all misery, misery, misery, l actually love Karen Taylor, she's got the hardest job of them all and yet they made her almost lose Keanu. Some people watch to escape real life and then are faced with more crappy negative bs 🙄. My sister isn't going to quit drinking because Linda is getting leary in the Vic. People already know there's an issue.
I can't take any more of this. I blame the show for tearing Mick and Linda apart with this horrible storyline. I miss them as the loving couple who leaned on each other during tough times.
Same! I preferred them happy, but Eastenders is about Domestic Violence, and bad things happen. But they were one of the biggest/amazingest couple in Eastenders♥️

@@Aaron-he3qd Except they portray it at such a more stupidly disproportionatly high rate in Albert Square than it happens in real life. Just like they do with Murder, Rape, assault, kidnapping etc. Hell the Vic itself has had nine break-ins and two fires in the last 10 years and even at one point there were 4 murderers living in Albert Square.
John Carey it’s a soap. It’s meant to be entertaining as possible with obvious some grasp of reality.
She's always been a horrible character. Selfish, malicious and judgmental.
I do hope Mick gets custody of that boy. Linda doesn’t deserve him.

Can't really see how Linda will get back from this story arc, it's clear to say that the writers have really butchered her character. Even if she does recover and redeem herself, the square won't have forgotten what they've seen and ultimately her credibility will fall if anything.

I thought you meant physically attacked Mick but this scene was very crazy nonetheless.
Honesly the way Linda kept hiding important things from Mick, and distancing him even before this whole alcoholism situation, it's obvious she had issues with him long before. He's been supportive and caring to her throughout and she treats him like crap. I hope the divorce actually happens but I bet it won't knowing EE. Just like when Linda was about to leave Mick after the Whitney affair, but the whole ambulance crash happened and it was the perfect excuse to reunite them. 🙄 I'm sure in the upcoming episodes, Linda will survive the boating accident and it will make her realise the extent of her drinking...Mick forgives her and all is well again.

She hasn't got a hope in hell of getting custody of her kid, the whole Square has seen her pissed like a wet fart since Xmas. Lots of people saw her piss herself at the club (Jean, Ian, Ruby, Jack), Denise knew she'd locked herself in the bathroom at NYE. She's not getting custody... but then I don't think that's where the story is going. Don't think either Mick or Linda are dying on the boat, I think Linda's drunkenness will put both their lives at risk but Mick will save her live and get her off the boat. They'll break the Queen Vic couples curse! (thanks Sharon...)
