I'm wrong about the playoff tear in 98 the year of the 72 win season but they did get the chip. LeBron beat the best team in NBA history. Him and Kyrie deserve 3 rings for putting down that Warriors team. LeBron isn't the Goat though, nobody ever feared him like they feared Jordan or even Kobe. Jordan and Kobe both were all-NBA defensive 1st team and Jordan even has a Defensive player of the year award. Jordan and Pippen were probably the greatest defensive wing tandem in league history....Kobe and Shaq before Shaq got out of shape was awesome defensively too. You can say that about Kwahi as being defensively great. LeBron doesn't shut you down.

So they are at the free throw line side by side, Mike leans in to Dominique and says " I see you leading the league in scoring,"Then goes on to say to Nique, " It wont be for long" Needless to say Mike finished that season as the scoring champ again.

Yes. No. 6 on this list is actually shades of Bird when he passed by the opposing bench and said: "I feel like 43 tonight." He scored 43, and then checked out in 3rd quarter. Also regarding no. 5 on this list, that's the stuff Larry did all the time, just not the entire game, but in last minute plays. He told all of his opponents the exact plays Boston would play. And he scored. So yeah, Larry is the most badass trash talker.

You are incorrect about Cartwright being a "victim" because although the things you say that Jordan said to him are true, Cartwright checked MJ big time by telling him he's not like these other guys and if he kept disrespecting him, he'd break both of his legs. Mike showed a lot more respect to him from that point on--he knew Cartwright and Parish would give him an old-school ass whoopin'!!!

Jordan was teach through toughness type of guy. He wasn't gonna pat your back and rub your feet to boost your confidence. He was gonna hit you in the mouth (literally and figuratively) and see how you responded. If you fought back he could work with you then help you get better but if you did nothing he'd double down and want nothing to do with you. Thing is not many people respond to teaching or leading like this. I mean just imagine if your boss was just degrading you knowing you couldn't really argue back unless you lose your job just to test you? This was why he was a shit teammate (till he respected you) but great player.
I think he became that way after getting beat up by the pistons and having to toughen up so expected all his teammates to do it to compete. But that just me and i can be wrong.

There was this journeyman backup center named Joe Kleine, who, after many years in the league, got to join the Bulls for the 1997-98 season. He hardly played much but never claimed to be a star or complained about playing time or anything. At the end of the classic 1998 Finals, after Chicago had defeated the Jazz on the famous MJ steal and jumper, Kleine started crying as he finally won a championship in his career. MJ saw him in tears and approached him and said, "Why you crying? I'm the one who won it for us. You didn't do anything" - now here is a player being emotional about what he thinks is the pinnacle of his career and MJ treats him like that. SAVAGE.

Very well done broadcast and informative. I had no idea Jordan was really like that. Crazy because he was usually very cordial and acted nice when he was interviewed. Mike was gracious on camera, but this goes to show he was the best ever. Takes supreme confidence 2 count backward. 🤣
