- Why are lakes called sea in Beijing?
Who implemented the "one country, two systems" policy in China 1000 years ago?
In the video, you'll learn the not so well-known history of Beijing of being occupied by nomadic people for four centuries.

I have been watching your highly informative and well researched videos on the Hakka, their architectural styles, and their resilience. This video ventures north to Beijing and I found your comments at various points subtle but penetrating, especially the comments about one country and two systems, and Han Chinese fighting for the Jurchen and Mongols in their battles within China. Please continue with your great narratives which my children (who are part Hakka) will surely enjoy.
Thank you for your comment. I am committed to this channel and have prepared a lot more topics to present in future.
多谢分享。内容丰富,播主下了很多工夫。👍

Very informative video, but you have to buy new microphone
Ok, I'll look into the microphone issue. Thank you!
看得出你的视频做得非常用心,也做了很多功课,付出了很多精力。我知道不被大量推荐的问题在哪。我决定放弃做英文频道转战中文频道。可以加个联系方式联系交流一下吗?我也在南昌哦
祝一切顺利!
Hi I am always curious is the Jurchen tribe manchu? they were under Kitan rule?
Jurchen and Manchu are related. Manchu are the descendants of the Jurchen. That's why they are also called 后金 in China.
The Jurchen tribe was once a vessel state of the Khitan Empire. But they conquered the Khitan Empire.
@@yanyangoaroundinchina wow thx I know these tribes on the north mostly are within Chinese borders now but I am pretty confuse with the periods because their names are different like the xiongnu hehe thx for clarifying
