Wow, this is so cool to see my car on RUclips! Kevin does such a great job on these videos. Its been back for a couple of weeks now and running great, I get the look every time I drive it. Thanks to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for all the hard work they put in it!
Another Great video from the V8 Speed & Resto Shop! Kevin did not mention it in the video, but the five speed was supplied by Modern Driveline using a Tremec TKO600. The New TKX will bolt right into a GM A body with no tunnels. Contact either Kevin crew or Modern Driveline for more details.
In this case, the car already arrived with the Tremec, and we're not sure exactly where it came from. However, Modern Driveline is definitely our go-to for 5 and 6 speed swaps when we perform those conversions in-house. Thanks for the note, Bruce!
What a beautiful piece of machinery, and it's a stick, no fault to be found anywhere. I bet that thing is so much fun to drive, and on top of that, Tremec makes unbelievably good transmissions nowadays.
Beautiful car! It was two years ago I emailed you about this car because it is so close to mine, thanks Kevin. What brand & model are the wheels, and the brand & size of tires front & back? The silver stripe is perfect for that color.
Thanks! The wheels are Rocket Racing Boosters, Hyper Shot finish, fronts are 17 in. x 7 in., 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 4.25 in. Backspace, rears are 17 in. x 8 in., 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 4.50 in. Backspace. Tires are BFG G-Force TAs, 235/45ZR17 up front, 275/40ZR17 in the rear. Thanks for the kind words!
@@V8TV Thanks for that info. They look great on there, makes for a subtle but good rake. I haven't decided on a stripe to break up my solid gun metal color, that silver stripe is a good contrast. I think you nailed the entire build, great job.

The ‘69 was always my favorite of the classic Chevelles. What a beautiful car!

69 had sweet body lines....my old man owned one of each year...his 69 was yellow as was his 67💛
Best looking car Chevy made IMHO!
Amen Brother, the Canadian version of the Chevelle is the beautiful Beaumont.
As we used to say - that is the whole enchilada! WOW! Brakes, handling, power, driveline, good looks, and comfort - all boxes checked. Outstanding 👍
We agree! Thanks!

Jim, we're always honored to work on your Chevelle, or anything else you end up with. Thanks for the kind words, and we're happy you dig the video!
Excellent execution! Exactly the way I like a car to be set up. Drive the wheels off of her, rebuild and repeat.
Great work & glad your customer opted for the suspension upgrade. An often overlooked necessity.
Yes, and it makes all the difference!

@@Dad-jk2wd Thanks so much! We'll make more!
OEM wheels should be back IMO
That 460 Big Block Chevy is the same displacement as a 460 Ford Big Block.
It's a bored & stroked 454 Chevy.
@@V8TV Very nice, the Canadian of the Chevelle is the beautiful Beaumont

Beautiful car, but I kept visualizing Nick Offerman narrating.
Has anyone ever told you your voice sounds uncannily like Ron Swanson?
All the time.
