John Langner (WB2OSZ), author of Direwolf, talks about the advantages of replacing the traditional hardware TNC with a software Terminal Node Controller.
You could just take one apart and get the data sheet from google then just find the 5V GPIO pin which is active when audio is active... then you just tap it to a 5V relay for PTT to your radio.

If your version of direwolf.conf , in ADEVICE has a "dash" after it, your audio input may not work.

No, Pactor is proprietary ... you have to pay the big bux for it.
