@Alex The Alien and Sedition Acts were allowed to expire. The Alien Friends Act of 1798 had nothing to do with citizens, but was aimed at non-citizens who were considered "dangerous to the safety and peace of the United States." The law was never enforced and it was allowed to expired after several years.
The Enemy Aliens Act was passed to supplement the Alien Friends Act. It is still in effect and was used extensively during World War II.
The Naturalization Act of 1798 increased the requirement for American citizenship from five years to fourteen years. It was repealed by the Naturalization Act of 1802.
The Sedition Act of 1798 was passed to make it illegal to make false or malicious statements against the Federal Government. It was aimed primarily at the critics of the Federalist Party, mainly the newspaper editors that supported then-Vice President Jefferson. Strangely, it did not apply to Vice President Jefferson, a rival of the Federalist Party President Adams. It was allowed to expire in 1802.

Gun, knife, club, lamp, ashtray, air-filled syringe, brass knuckles, nunchucks, spears, throwing stars, all are covered by the 2nd amendment, if that’s what you chose to arm yourself with. @@koobs4549 The main likely reason those opposed to armed citizens singled out firearms, as opposed to other forms of weaponry, is they are the most high profile and utile weapons available to the average person. They are also some of the simplest to learn and they are the one of the most economical forms of protection available to the average citizen. You get more bang for your buck with a firearm than with most other weapons. Wealthy elitists and their naive useful idiots have naturally primarily targeted firearm ownership as these are the weapons that tend to level the playing field against the wealthy elitists attempting to impose a modern feudal-like system of economic masters controlling economic serfs who live by the leave of the rich and powerful. The second amendment should not be treated as a second class right, and I'm glad that this is being righted by the courts in small steps.
