I live how it looks like she's just sitting on top of the water... not in it. It looks amazing

To think the Nimitz class would not look taller than the Queen Elizabeth . The Ferry isn't very big , just quite tall . About 570 feet by 94 feet and 35000 tons .
Its about time they put a few weapons on the QE .

Agreed. We have too few escorts so it should be better armed. Brimstone missile or at least more 30mm guns.

The ships are designed with future growth in mind. Space is reserved for the installation of up to 6 2x4 VLS cells either PAAMS or MK41. She has provision for up to 5 Phalanx. Also the installation of Box launchers for RAM missiles....the SM1850 and Artisan radars give her the same target tracking capability as an Horizon class destroyer

Thanks. I think the fantastic image stabilisation helped. It was shot with a Sony AX53.

From what I can gather Russia is now flexing its muscles again in the North Sea from both air and at sea, testing UK weaknesses cold war style...UK downsizing its navy may prove to be a very, very big mistake. Brit army took a beating at the start of WW2 but survived because of its massive fleet and state of the art aircraft for the time period. The need for a strong navy has not been valued for a long time and ships take a long time to build. If something kicks off in the near future with Russia we're up shit creak...terrorism will seem like a minor annoyance if Russia wants to start causing trouble...defence needs to refocus and bloody quick...

Hmm. I've been watching F-35 and HMS Queen Elizabeth videos today, so RUclips has been suggesting videos for me to watch. Check out a video on RUclips entitled "HMS Queen Elizabeth to get her 'Teeth' this year" put up by Ken Griffiths. I'm nearly 100% sure that video uses your video.

Dang - how tall is the ferry? It looks like you're in a helicopter.

OK. Yep, that's a big ship. Not what comes to my mind with the word "ferry".
