@@tiborvenancio6443 not game, but we have a manga close to that chapter 1 : they beat the demon lord chapter 2 : chill journey doing mundane stuff latest chapter : how do i play kendama?
You know that a game completely destroyed you, when this song has a whole new meaning and it makes you cry everytime. I discovered FFXIV because it came out not long after my mother passed away while I was transitionning to teenagehood, I took back this game in 2019, it brought me so much comfort. I saw something in Hydaelyn the same thing I saw in my mother, and it hurts to see her go. Answers always had a deep rooted place in my heart, but after Endwalker ? Man, this song is engraved in it now.
You are so right it hurts. I enjoyed this song and the ARR trailer before I even played the game, but post EW storyline this song, this *version* even, punches so far above all expectations. The creative team did an amazing job of pulling this throughline in the story for so many years and never wearing it out.
@@Raigoth i'd recommend new people to start from HW get a short summary of ARR and get into the better part of the game immediately instead sadly we can't actually do that lol
You must live, die, and know... As Hades said after being brought back and understanding everything he has forgotten... Venat is laughing somewhere in the corner...
With Endwalker, we finally come to the full circle and found the conclusion to this song. I love that EW is loveletter to the past expansion and mainly going back to the beginning which is ARR and Answers.
@@Clorgisclorg I think most of us knew that, considering the team and developer changes after this track was already written. It's been in existence since 1.0
Lore behind the song is hydaelyn singing us her answer to the prayers leading up to the fall of dalamud. The sundering story line has existed in 1.0 and dalamud was on the table as a plot point. The 1.0 story team let yoshi-p use the moon and the plot point to make a in game calamity as a reason for a remake if the game.
Though with certain... developments... the song takes on an entirely new context and meaning. It's not just her answer to us as we pray to the Twelve for deliverance from the Seventh Umbral Calamity. But to say more would be massive, massive spoilers.
Its actually crazy that a song made over ten years ago only now fully makes sense in endwalker, even if it wasn't planned in advance it takes some masterful writing to tie together everything like that
"Now open your eyes while our plight is repeated Still deaf to our cries, lost in hope we lie defeated Our souls have been torn, and our bodies forsaken Bearing sins of the past, for our future is taken" i hope this is not us with this video.
Ok but I just need to point out how good this edit is, the moment of 5:40 with Louisoix pushing back lined up with the hit of witness?? Genuinely peak fucking cinema
Ayy glad to have this back. It's my favorite song of the whole game. Coming back to his after seeing all that happened in Endwalker makes this even better!
it is absolutly cracy, how they not just managed to create astonishing, timeless music, this music even develops with the fantastic storytelling into something new, or in this case, it builds an perfect circle. and you must be made of stone, when this song (or hw´s dragonsong) doesnt makes you cry after finishing ew.
iirc Some of older song composed by Nobuo, including Answers, Dragonsong and Revolution include Amanda voice and some part of the song which the copyrights are not assigned to Square Enix, thus SE doesn't have specific rights to allow streaming/online use of these songs. Other songs, including songs composed by Soken are wholly owned by Square Enix and they can freely set the rules. I believe SE might have signed a new agreement or something similar when it comes to these three songs recently.
This already made me cry, now it hits all the different. An apology to mankind, an apology to the dragons one and all for how they suffer, an affirmation, and a prayer. Believe.
I finished EW some time ago, but only recently I've realized what this song is about (thank you for upload and thank the Gods for spotify ;P). I've always had a tear in my eye while listening to this, but it hits way harder after the realization 😭
Honestly, this song makes me think of the origin of the franchise. The first game was going to be the creators' last if it didn't do well. He poured everything into it, and I think that tradition has continued on, with each entry being a "Final" Fantasy.
I love how this song has multiple layers to it. It appears on the surface like it's only about the cycle between astral and umbral eras, but becomes about so much more at the end of EW.
The first time i heard this song was the scene at the end of elpis(watched someone stream it). Not even having the full context it brought a tear to my eye. Seeing the A.R.R. demo made it hit harder, then getting the context after playing through to endwalker just made it worse. Listening to this vid after hearing play as the background for the new event in limsa has me stright up crying. I hate it, 10/10.
the Feel what? Learn what? hear what? See what ? always give me shivers cause in EW it answers what we need to feel , learn , hear and see so the same mistakes as before never happens again, thus this things what made the people eorzia worth saving
You said there's been a change to the material usage license, but isn't this still dangerous if they file another copyright claim? Do you already have a counter argument ready in case they do? LOL I really appreciate your lyric videos. They're very nice. Plus the original MVs on the FFXIV channel don't even have CC enabled for the older videos. Hopefully you're right and the forbidden trifecta is no more so that you can get Dragonsong and Revolution back up as well.
I would counter "This is included in the materials allowed by SE", then point to the license link that doesn't have the "don't use Answers" line anymore 😅 And I won't be uploading the other two anytime soon- the risk is just too great. My heart can only handle 1 strike at a time 😂 But thanks for the concern and appreciation!

AND, the reason it’s filled with One-word phrases “Hear. Feel. Think” etc. Is because hydaelyn was too weak to speak so consistently and was losing her power over time. Thus BARELY being able to talk to her children. They use one word lyrics to demonstrate that in the song
