+emos in wonderland I love his voice in the studio but there he can record line by line so there's no real strain on the vocals and then you doctor the hell out of it. (I'm a singer myself so I know the process, though I don't claim to be anywhere near as good as him on the record.) Here there is way less filtering and he is straining his voice. Add in the screaming and the fast paced lyrics and a great voice sucks all of a sudden. Hence it sucks regardless😊 Let the record show I am still a fan!😎

Have seen them live twice and he always sings phenomenal .....including VIP where they perform acoustic and they are literally playing 5 feet away 🤘🔥🤘🔥
Why are people saying that they are bad live? I've haven't been to a concert of them, yet. But actually I heard they're amazing live. And even if Kellin doesn't hit every note he's a great vocalist. All haters go and listen to the acoustic versions and you will see he's amazing.

But here's the thing: Kellin doesn't have a BAD voice. He doesn't have a studio voice because they run that through stuff, but he does kind of have to strain his higher and more feminine voice to do what he does in his music. Vic Fuentes sounds very similar to the studio recorded stuff, but he and Kellin aren't the same person with the same voice. Jack had really good solos on his guitar, but SERIOUSLY, stop complaining about Kellin straining his voice.

Sleeping with Sirens is my favorite band and I'll admit, Kellin does have quite a few bad performances where he strains his voice. I know he can do way better than this live, considering I've been to a live SWS concert. So please, do not judge Kellin's natural voice just by these RUclips videos because he doesn't always sound like this.

I feel like it's because the front mic sounded so quiet compared to the instrument amps and that meant he would've had to be a little bit louder and having to make your own voice louder is pretty hard to do without sounding strained and if you strain too much, you could mess up your voice. I feel like he sounds a lot better in smaller venues for the fact that the mic is louder and you don't have to strain as much. To be honest he actually doesn't sound too bad here like people are saying. He still sounds pretty good to me but the fact that he has to strain his voice to be heard kind of makes it sound a little out of practice or not properly warmed up.

You're right. I can say, as a singer myself, it's kinda hard to hit high notes the way Kellin do, his voice is amazing and he has a very high vocal range. And yeah, your voice will be weak after screaming, even when screaming correctly. I mean, go listen to "Given Up" by Linkin Park, studio version, before the screaming part, Chester can force his voice in the chorus. After all the screaming part, his voice seems more soft/clean in the last time he sings the chorus. So, if in ONE song you can lose your voice, think about one whole set.
Dude, if you use the right technique for screaming, you can do it at normal talking sound level, and it will not strain your voice one bit. Hitting high notes is all about talent and the right technique. There is nothing HARD about singing like this, Kellin just never learned the right way to sing, and he has to force himself to hit those notes. Sad, because he is immensly talented. I sing, infact, i can hit a Bb5 cleanly and im a male. All about the right technique dude.
I love this band, but they don't need to write vocal melodies that are too high for Kellin to hit live. 14:40 is a prime example where he had to resort to screaming since he can't hit the note. I wish they would just like downtune the guitars or something so he can sing a bit lower :/ However, all the instruments performed quite well live :)

I'm a drummer and I've never understood why drummers put tape over their logo when they are in any country other than America. If anyone would like to explain that to me, I'd be very thankful 👌🏼
Had to reset my password just to answer this for you, from what I'm aware of it's usually either due to the drummer having endorsed by another brand which wasn't available for backline or simply the drummer doesn't want to give the drum company any free advertising because he doesn't have an endorsement deal with the company. That is why the logos are there and all over cymbals, heads and sticks; it is a very subtle form of free advertising for the manufacturers and most times unless already endorsed drummers won't go out of their way to find unbranded kits etc Hope that makes some sense to you mister xx
