- Welcome back again for another video. This one is in two parts, I was so so eager to get out for this dig. I hadn't managed to get out for almost 4 weeks and this session did not disappoint.
Thank you for your support as always and for watching. Jake :)

Great hunt video
@@oldpelon thank you ❤️
I think that piece of pewter you found at 25:52 is actually part of a bell. I made the same assumption myself when I dug up something very similar and thought it was a drinking vessel, then someone advised me to turn it the other way up and have another look. Bingo! Another great vid by the way, so thank you for sharing.
@@bwc1878 just had a look back at the pewter and you could definitely be right!! Never thought of looking at it that way! Thanks as always for your comment my friend 😁
Nice one mate, congratulations on the new permissions and house......I hear you about selling a house it's an absolute nightmare 😩
@@addwithadz thank you for your comment mate! Tell me about it, we’re about to move again in a few weeks, living out of boxes! Hope you’re well!
Just subscribed today 👍
I've only been detecting for a year now ! Just bought the minelab x terra elite its absolutely brilliant 👌
Thanks for the advice on digging the chirpy low numbers
I've got 180 acres to sift through up on the Yorkshire wolds 💚
Hi mate, ahh this happens to all of us unfortunately, clonking a find with your spade is common, unless you are some sort of goon who spends 40 minutes on each signal and extracting each target. Or of course you are a perfect detectorist, which there is no such thing. I've hit many a great find, and for some reason it is often the best finds that get hit. Your mystery silver find was a propelled pencil holder - if you didn't know this by now. Keep at it !!
The silver item could be a needle case
@@johanvoeten thanks Johan, someone else has said the same thing so more than likely! Thanks mate
At 25.10 it is silver and worth getting it checked over by the FLO in your area
@@dm51964 thank you mate, any ideas what you think it may be?
@@CrosbyCollects To start with was thinking a silver pencil lead holder and Victorian or Edwardian but it could much be earlier
. Silver item is part of a propelling pencil. 19th-early 20th century century
25.00 looks like the remains of a swizzle stick.
What made you choose the manticore thanks . Just subscribed to your channel I have been using the e trac for a few years and thinking of upgrading.
Hi Jane,
I originally owned the Nokta Legend, I just didn't get on with it. I then looked at youtube videos and reviews online on what the next best upgrade would be and after deciding between the Deus 2 and the Manticore, i decided on the Manticore.
@@CrosbyCollects Thank you
Could the item at 25.00 be part of an old gentlemans razor blade?
Hi Simon
I think its slightly too thin to be a razor blade, there would be virtually nothing to hold onto when shaving. It was my first initial thought as well. Thanks for your comment!
25:00 - First idea that came to my mind was "handle of theater spectacles".
another great possibility, thank you for your comment!
