The first 4 Sabbath albums were done in 2 years. They invented every type of hard rock and heavy metal genre you can think of in that span. The undisputed kings.
I've heard Zep go heavier than Sabbath and other likes if only for a brief moment. Usually live. Sabbath are awesome. no other metal band heavy or beyond have the same devilish delivery.
One thing that stands out about all these reaction chanels is the amount of love and respect heapped on Bill Ward. He fell out of the public eye decades ago and was never talked about untill all you reactors started singing his praises. ❤
He actually prefers to be out of the spotlight. I can remember a couple of decades ago when asked about touring with Sabbath again, and he said " I'm an old man, and I just want to go to bed."
"You turn to me with all your worldly greed and pride, but will you turn to me when it's your turn to die?" Geezer's lyrics facing head on to the hard choices, struggles and temptations that exist for every mortal man. There are no atheists on a sinking ship.
I always thought of Sabbath as a cool metal band but not until recently did I realize just how freaking good the musicianship is. Tony Iommi is my new hero. Dude's chops are insane.
@@ZalMoxis Their deep dark sound was different from anyone else at the time so they had to call it something I guess. Heavy metal just seems to fit. Either way... the music they made is badazz whatever you choose to call it. 😁
You will love Supernaut. Amazing drumming from Bill Ward. The riff from Tony Iommi (eye-oh-me) and the way the guitar passes off the riff to the bass (Geezer Butler) is amazing
This album was released in July, 1971. I turned 14 the next month. I enjoyed my teenaged years very much. Sex, drugs and rock n roll. I’ll never forget, at least most of…. the summer of 71. This album was a big part of it. And I still remember the effin words!!
The entire "master of reality" album is a masterpiece. There are several albums that I can listen to from beginning to end and half of them are Sabbath albums. they others are Led Zep!!!, so glad u guys gave then the LZ treatment!!!!
Honestly Black Sabbath is a prime example of the rare phenomenon where someone not only does something first, but basically does it best. Every member of Sabbath at least in the Ozzy and Dio eras was at the peak of creativity and performance when blazing a trail for heavy metal.
Totally agree, they were the first at it and still are the best at it, all the metal bands admit they were the best. Teens listening to them now are blown away and they get new fans all the time, they will always be listened to.
havent heard this in a very long time, great reaction, great perception.....they were masters at this with a majority of their songs, cant wait til you get to the volume 4 album,, particularly the songs...snowblind and supernaut........
I love that you guys took the initiative with Sabbath, it would have taken me years to request all this and I can't wait until you get to their Sabotage album.
Another great reaction this Black Sabbath album was the first album I heard on a turntable in 1971 and have never looked back becoming my favorite band of all time. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy many different bands and types of music but Master of Reality is simply amazing.
Geezers riffs should be recognized in the HOF! Obviously the whole band is incredible but the riffs always jump out and grab you. Legends started the genre and have no equals. Phenomenal album looking at my post and I believe sometimers is kicking in....should've been Tony Iommi's riffs but Geezer does kill that bass.
Yeah, Master of Music period. Those 3 guys backing Ozzy are now beyond legends, making new genres of very heavy hard rock/pioneering heavy metal that stands the test of time and continues to influence to this day. One banger of a song and album after another. Keep on keeping on, wait until you run Into the Void! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Another great Sabbath song with a blatantly Christian theme, which describes the deceiving ways of Satan, taken from 2 Corinthians 4:4: "In their case the lord of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God." Excellent reaction, gentlemen!
The other day you reacted to ELP. Hoping you will re-visit this band. You heard a mellow tune but they have songs with multiple genres. They were the most experimental avant garde of the prog bands. Check out Tarkus, Knife Edge, The Barbarian, From the Beginning to name a few. Their first five albums are amazing!!
I just commented on the frampton review and said me and my older bro would battle our stereos between his frampton and the dead. And my Sabbath. Then you drop this same day. Airplay beats get outta my head ! Lmaoooo 😅
ruclips.net/video/I8_NCX2AwLE/видео.htmlsi=_8-gkx75UzgxJ4yN The heaviest thing that ever happened on planet earth ever…Ward physically destroying the drums. So heavy I want to cry tears of joy. 40 years a metal head because of this particular performance I saw on a vhs tape as a kid in the background of a grownup beer/weed party. Ah…being a kid in the early 80’s
I was in jr high when I bought this album. I grew up in a small southern IN town of 2000. Our local IGA had a little record section. Not sure how this album ended up there since most of the records were top 40 cover records and a few current artists. So I see this album and fall in love with the cover ..haha. That is the only reason I bought it. Had no clue who Black Sabbath was. I was even in a band already but we did bubble gum music and some CCR. I think I told this story on another one of your vids...lol Needless to say a metalhead was born. Not sure how of many of us there were back then....1971. Alice Cooper Killer would be a good one to do if you have not done so already. I didn't see it on the play list. @2:46 this reminds me of something off of Killer. Now Masters of Reality was released in July and Killer in Nov of 71. I bought Killer too...haha. And people wonder why I am the way I am...
We were so spoiled in the 70s! Black Sabbath lost me when they bounced Ozzy, but then Ozzy went solo and put out SO MUCH fantastic music! I searched your channel for Ozzy Osbourne, but nothing came up. As much as you love his voice, how is it that you haven't reacted to any of that?!
On a completely unrelated note, this first minute has explained the entire sound of the band Wolfmother, specifically the song “Joker and the Thief” listen to them together and they pretty much just took the intro to this and Ozzy’s vocal style here and boom. I’d be interested to see if anyone else hears it or I’m totally out to lunch. 🎧
Just the best . This band changed l my life. Favorite band favorite guitarist favorite bass player favorite drummer. Second favorite singer. Sorry Ozzy Ronnie is the greatest of all time. Just my opinion. R. I. P.
Obviously, I know Black Sabbath inspired it, but this riff reminds me a lot of dragonaut by a Stoner Metal band called Sleep who are definitely worth checking out if you ever get a moment to. I think he would really like sleep they have some killer bass solos.
A good album BUT surely, If I could ever only own one of their albums it would be "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" Too those that haven't heard it , I recommend it without reservation, for me it's Sabbath at their very finest .
ooouuuu baby now we got orchard and solitude left? you guys gotta do a joint reaction to those!! and then next album you guys in for a refresh, you think BS can stay in one pocket forever???!
Don’t get me wrong absolutely love Motörhead but they cant compare too sabbath by the way Ozzie and Lemmie were good friends and did colabs on some songs
Loving the Sabbath reactions. You really deserve to see the best live performance from Belgium Hd Remaster. A lot of people posted as a really rough copy from Paris all cut up into different songs but it was a 2 night event. And Bill Ward shines here. Track list for each in discription ruclips.net/p/PLybJOVW1sw56yiAF13vtVGHRcZS1tGgKJ&si=Oij-ztJhMUHmqCHj
You really should check out Black Sabbath with Dio as the front man. The album Heaven and Hell is a banger!! Every song is great! Lonely is the Word, Heaven and Hell, Neon Knights, and Die Young are my favorites!
2nd best era of Sabbath for sure, Dio transformed the band after a poor last album effort with Ozzy. They eventually need to hear the entire Black Sabbath catalog, each singer gave them a different take on heavy music and the one overriding fact in all their music is Tony Freaking Iommi is on ripping lead guitar and he is the music mastermind behind their entire 49 year career. (Geezer did the lyrics when they did play together). No matter who played with him, he Never Mailed it In! Compelling music in every decade if you look for it, they have some obscure classics that would freak people out. Enjoy.
This is one Kick-Ass song from a Kick-Ass album master of reality which is my favorite album from sabbath 👍🥁💯 one thing I don't like about this particular album cover is that where it says master of reality it's actually in all black where it says master of reality you would have to reflect it in the light to see the title of the album
ruclips.net/video/eN7oj7ejlow/видео.htmlsi=xo7-f5lESYc8l3mY Fellas this one's for you, arguably the greatest trio that ever made music, luckily there can be no greatest, only your favorite. These guys are my favorite, enjoy.
Bill Ward was the leader of Black Sabbath. Don't hate .. been a fan since 1970. Sure, the Riffmaster General had the ideas, but like Peart, Ward played the only percussion possible for each song, and blow-darted it into the brains of the other three.
There’s nothing awesome and amazing about Sabbath except the bass, the guitar, the vocals, and the drums! Wicked!
The first 4 Sabbath albums were done in 2 years. They invented every type of hard rock and heavy metal genre you can think of in that span. The undisputed kings.
Well…Led Zep doing the same thing at the same time. Although Sabbath did lay down the tracks for the future of heavy metal.
@@jfcardellozeppelin not metal tho
@@masterroshi2779No, they’re hard rock with a blues edge, which they pioneered..just sayin 😉
@@masterroshi2779whilst I agree that Zeppelin isn’t Metal, they are a key part in the development of Metal.

I can’t tell you how many times I listened to this album in a smoked filled room
Pass the bong, man! 🎸
As it should be
Spent thousands of hours listening to this album. Never gets old.
"You turn to me with all your worldly greed and pride, but will you turn to me when it's your turn to die?"
Geezer's lyrics facing head on to the hard choices, struggles and temptations that exist for every mortal man.
There are no atheists on a sinking ship.
não ha humanidade se seu rabo vai ou nao virar comida de tubarão, chefe
Fantastic album start to finish
One of their very best albums top to bottom. Have been listening to it for almost 50 years.
Definitely!
I always thought of Sabbath as a cool metal band but not until recently did I realize just how freaking good the musicianship is.
Tony Iommi is my new hero. Dude's chops are insane.
Geezer Butler on bass is nasty.
They're not heavy metal.... in their own words they saw themselves as psychedelic heavy rock.... listen to Sabotage ... it's like a total trip.
@@ZalMoxis Their deep dark sound was different from anyone else at the time so they had to call it something I guess.
Heavy metal just seems to fit.
Either way... the music they made is badazz whatever you choose to call it. 😁
That album is an all round banger. One of the best LPs of all time.
Geezer going wild....one of my favorite bass parts ever.
This is Ozzy at his most Sinister and I love it!!!
Great song to wake up to. Black Sabbath, the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast 🤘
this album and an acid buzz just rock
Black Sabbath...Masters of Metal!!!
You will love Supernaut. Amazing drumming from Bill Ward. The riff from Tony Iommi (eye-oh-me) and the way the guitar passes off the riff to the bass (Geezer Butler) is amazing

Each musician top of there game
They were truly metal riff masters! Great pick here, guys!
Favorite song on the album by far .. Doom that swings!
Great reaction, fellas! The sludge in that bass line ........🤯
My first and favorite Sabbath album. Hooked me.

More Cow Bell!! Best track on the album, so heavy. I love to do it in combo with Orchid...

I saw Black Sabbath , Boston & Moxy at the Convention center arena in San Antonio , Texas , my home Town
F-in great! 🙏🏻
The thing about Black Sabbath is their musical chops behind the metal heavy sound.
I love that you guys took the initiative with Sabbath, it would have taken me years to request all this and I can't wait until you get to their Sabotage album.
I can’t wait til they get to the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album.. My all-time favorite from them.. Sabotage is great as well though!
YESSSSSS to Sabotage
Tony writes pop song riffs and then executes them with that dark, nasty one of a kind tone.

This album was everything for me. That raw heaviness was the bar that’s still being reached for today.
Tony Iommi is known in the metal world as the riff meister. He is ground zero for a lot of todays metal. Thankyou for your great work.
Geezer is my bass hero.
