Danny green was thinking about all the people who called him trash when shooting.
Hey Kyle! Smooch
He proved us right too
Proved everyone right that night. He’s being benched tomorrow

I find it funny how people find scapegoats. Lakers lost plain and simple no need to single out players. And it’s a team loss

No lebron slander allowed this game. He had a damn near perfect game, and he made the correct play. How he even got that pass to green was downright impressive. He put his teammates in the position to succeed, they just couldn’t deliver.
Exactly
Preach 💯
What?! He didn't finish the job. He had a chance to make up for Green and Morris mistakes but he failed to deliver the game tying 3.

Exactly.
The refs gave lebron the chance to redeem himself when they didn't call the blatant travel on that last play.
@Alexander Melnikov 8:20 lmao did you even watch the vid?
did you even watch the play? Lebum's pass was bad coz of the defense forcing Danny to take an out of rhythm shot.
Why everyone hating on danny green, but no one talking about morris
Because if Danny Green hits the wide open 3 Morris doesn't happen
Or rondo back to back 1-7 games
@@iBeTezz if that were true then people would be hating George Hill for the 2018 Finals not JR Smith
Because as bad as Morris' blunder was, it was in a broken, unplanned play. He found himself in a situation that would have been foreign to him. It's slightly forgivable. Green's shot, on the other hand, would have been part of the drawn up play. If his defender leaves to chase Lebron, it's part of the play for Lebron to throw it back to him for the open and rehearsed shot. The Lakers would have run this in training a zillion times before, I'm sure. You won't find a more open shot in the NBA. And Danny's shot looked bad. It was a brick. Never had a chance. If it rimmed out, you might put it down to bad luck. But his release was clunky. So it's on him.
That's the responsibility of taking the final shot.
Short answer: Yes, lebron made the right play
Made the wrong play - could have used the screen gone left and attacked middle of key or taken a jump shot. Danny Hreen has shot poorly all night. The Steve Kerr play was prearranged by Jordan in a time-out. This was Lebron getting stuck then bailing out to a shooter

Without a doubt, the most hated athlete in the history of sports. Literally its sad
You are too correct. If Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma and Markieff Morris continue to play that bad, I don't see Lakers winning a series. And let's say Danny Kuzma and Morris combined 20 turnovers 20 misses people will still crucified Lebron James. It does not matter if Anthony Davis is his teammates, if he quote on quote "star teammates" does not play correct basketball and your opponent is, you aren't winning. People failed to understand that.
When Lebron wins a champion, it is literally him stat-padding or get carried by the haters. When he loses to the Warriors with KD, people say he sucks can't lead a team. When he loses to the Spurs when Wade and Bosh combined for 15 points per game, it is him choking. The only time he is the really one to blame is 2011 finals but haters seemingly bring out this and apply it to every game. Literally the most hated athlete since Kobe.
ruclips.net/video/PJfMb0AZiAU/видео.html
If you know the game. MJ passed the ball to his teammates till Paxson hit the shot during the 93 finals and Mike to Steve Kerr during the 97. Even Kobe pass the ball to D.Fish during the ‘09 finals and ‘10 to Ron Artest. Being great is not always taking the last shot, it’s how you read the game and win the chip.
Just saying. No hate. Lakers in 6. 💜💛
#appreciatingbasketballgreatsofourERA
Michael Jordan was a great player but he did not pass the ball to Paxson in the 93 finals
yeah, but Michael Jordan's pass to Steve Kerr was right into his shooting pocket, that's pretty key for a passer to do, and that's important for a catch and shoot role player. Let's say you consistently throw passes that are 2 feet to the right and at his knees where he has to extend and bend down and bobble the ball before getting his hands on it, where he has to regain his balance and then shoot it. His shooting percentage would be much lower.
@@back2back379 Thats not the point. The point is that every legend passes the ball and lets others take the final shot. In this situation it would have been very difficult for Lebron to throw a super accurate pass to Green because of the defenders around him.
@@metal3543 there were so many defenders because he passed it too late. He should’ve passed once he got the double team around the right elbow, like how Jordan passed to Kerr once he got the double team instead of continuing to go in and putting himself into a spot where the pass became very difficult.
@@metal3543 Okay but the reason the pass was so awful is because Lebron literally ran directly at a wall of defenders who contested the pass. MJ and Kobe didnt do that. The defenders came to them (because they had a threatening midrange pullup game), they were able to get a clean, uncontested pass. Lebron has no reliable midrange jumpshot so he has to do exactly what the defense prepares for, attack the basket. He ran into a wall of defenders, of course its going to be difficult to pass out of it.
Imagine lebron blows a 3-1 lead, then Iggy come backs 3-1.
I hate you

AD: posts up to the left

JR Smith: that's my boy
Crowder set a back screen, which means markieff never knew which side butler was going to drive in. Plus, Butler jabbed right before going left. Lakers defensive scheme is to show on picks which is why he went to the right, thinking butler was going there.
KCP was by himself. He’s a good corner 3 point shooter

I still can't believe the Lakers thought AD didn't foul Butler. Talk about homer glasses
I mean their team is obviously going to argue for that in that moment. I don't know if anybody at home is really arguing it all that much -- and if they are, it's just because they don't understand verticality.
Dude, this is the all time classic scheme that the Lakers are pulling... it's called "Lebron needs more calls... give him the ring already" to daddy Silver cause when the going gets tough Bron always turn to the NBA commission for special treatment... same like with the Nuggets... remember when Nuggets won one game against LA and Lakers immediately complained about the refs?
Lakers just ask for special treatment cause they're scared they might not be a good enough team without them... which is pathetic and an all time classic Bron... he presents himself as above and beyond all others and so respectful but whenever things aren't going his way he's CONSTANTLY whining and asking for special treatment...
just like the KCP flop aye
They also thought LeBron charging into Robinson was a block and lost their challenge! Slurpies - all sugar no substance.
Vogel should be fined for complaining about officiating.
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes, he drew three defenders and found an open shooter.
Longer answer: Yes, he found the open shooter AND because he drew three defenders they got the rebound, but they lost possession because Morris threw the ball away
Longest answer: Yes. He pulled three defenders, found an open shooter and they got the rebound. The loss is on Morris for throwing an errant pass, however, I think Morris made a reasonable choice. Morris was looking at the rim (probably thinking shoot), so Danny, KCP and Lebron aren't directly in his line of vision. He pulls up to shoot, but that's when he sees AD had position down low with a smaller defender on him (Bam isn't "small" per se, but AD is definitely bigger). Crowder is also right in his face. He has a split second to decide shoot or pass, and ended up doing both at the same time, resulting in the ball sailing out of bounds.
The fact is, Lebron made a winning play that gave them multiple opportunities in the last seconds of the game. Morris having a midair brain cramp is not on Lebron.
Additional tid bit: the Lakers used more timeouts than usually in the first half. The announcers commented that this might leave them a timeout short in crunch time. If they still had a timeout, maybe they call it and get a set play for the last shot and the outcome is different. We shall never know.
I dont get it. Why was Meyers Leonard freaking out?
This isn’t lebrons fault at all. Danny green didn’t hit the shot, markeef Morris threw it away, and if you want to blame the play let me remind you, lebron not the coach.
Exactly why lebron is no jordan. If its mj, it will be his way, not his coach
Iring Gilaygit You think Jordan wouldn’t listen to Phil Jackson, arguably the greatest coach of all time? Lebron’s only truly great coach was Spoelstra and he’s still no Phil Jackson.
Do you think MJ never let them run plays for a teammate when a chance to clinch a title was there? That happened multiple times so don’t give me that BS. The fact is Jordan had teammates that made the shots in those situations. Lebron has had the same thing happen before, but in this situation Danny Green just missed. It was clearly the best play. Lebron was surrounded by Heat players and Green was as open as you could be.
Lol stop hating on lbj by taking mj name.he passed the ball to Kerr aswell but the only difference is he made the shot.
Im not a LeBron fan but the hate on the guy is real
@@shemphanghynniewta7217 But that play with Steve Kerr was beautifully executed. Jordan knew that he was going to be double teamed by Stockton, which would leave Kerr free. Jordan knew Kerr would sink the ball because he was really shooting very well that night (hell, even throughout the series). Danny Green, on the other hand, has had trouble sinking threes since the playoffs started. He even had issues shooting the ball during game 5, so I don't understand why they drew a play for DG. I get it that LeBron wants to find an open man, but why to a player who has been having trouble with his field goal percentage. Look, LBJ has been hitting threes all night; has been successful in driving the basket; and he even flexed a few minutes before that final sequence right. That's why I think he should've taken care of it. He could've gone ISO for that one, draw up a screen, and drive to the basket to either shoot the ball or get his superstar foul. I just don't get it. It won't matter to me if he failed in the execution. I would've appreciated his eagerness to take the lead, something Kobe and MJ would've done.
Well the coach should have drew up a play and they should have called a time out I miss Kobe because Kobe wouldn't ever just run a play without advice on the bench to win
Green simply missed a wide open shot. But the real waste was Morris throwing the ball 30 feet to Casper.

The problem with LeBron's "gravity" is that it's usually only good enough for that direct pass to result in an open shot - it doesn't mean it's a shot in rhythm, it doesn't mean the whole team was involved, and sometimes, it can mean a player who hasn't touched the ball for long stretches suddenly is dealt the task of hitting the biggest shots in playoff history when they are in no rhythm to do so (if you think they should hit it anyway, you're just being childish). Real gravity doesn't put this kind of pressure on players - look at what Steph's gravity does for his team, and whoa, he doesn't have to be the one to end up with any statistics by simply giving up the ball and allowing his teammates to play 4 vs 3, 3 vs 2, etc. There's levels to making your teammates better.
horrible take. you might have negative basketball IQ. this take literally broke physics congrats!
What are you talking about . You sound dumb asf. What did stephs gravity do for anyone? Didn’t he lose when he was by himself against the raptors? Who did he make better?? Lebron drives, then sucks 2 in and kicks it out to a shooter and you knock it down. That’s what you get paid 15million to do. Stop making executes for professionals

For those who are saying lebron don't got the killer instinct like MJ or Kobe, let's analyze what happened. When Lebron caught the basketball, you can see Jimmy is already on him, so he's close enough to block Lebron if he pulls up. At the time Danny Green steps up to set the screen, Jimmy Butler is already on Lebron's side trying to steal the ball. So what this means is Lebron can't crossover to get to the other side, or move back because he's near half court. Once Danny Green comes to set the pick, Jimmy is totally denying him the screen, forcing him to drive. Then Duncan Robinson will come and trap him because he's the one to guard Danny Green. If Lebron waits he'll get trapped and it'll lead to the same play with Danny Green but even more contested, so he drives. But when Lebron drives on the right side, he must take 2 steps to pull up, so he has no option but to drive, and Jimmy and Duncan are too close for him to pull up regardless of whether he can pull or not. So he drives, and tries to pass out to Danny Green. If he tried to go for the layup, Jimmy Butler would block as he already jumped, if he tried to draw the foul from Jimmy Butler, most likely he won't get it because he took 2 steps already and Jimmy would still block the shot. So don't tell me Lebron don't got the killer instinct like MJ because There was no way for him to pull up with Butler and Robinson so close to him beyond the 3 point line. Not to mention it is an ill advised shot to do what Jordan does and chuck it up with Jimmy that close.(You might call that killer instinct but it's more stupidity)
If Lebron shot it, then they are just playing into Miami's hands. See, in the last minute, LeBron was almost always double-teamed. They wanted him to take the shot with at least 2 players in his face. The drive and kick worked perfectly, problem is that Danny Green choked.
He tried to play hero ball he should have called timeout and asked coach to draw up a play ad looked tired and was getting boxed out lbj didn't even look Anthony Davis way

Can we talk about AD very obviously slapping Crowder in the face please?!?!
Props to both teams giving us one of the best games this post season, credit to miami, especially jimmy and duncan. Them boys lit us up!
You have great questions coach for the Lakers to feel good on game six.
1. AD's Health. I hope he is healthy for next game, if he's not, in my opinion Lakers might actually struggle and lose this series without AD in the next 2 games.
2. Open 3s. KCP has stepped up the past 2 games, we've generated good looks coach, but if our OTHER role players can't knock those down (while duncan fuckin robinson is hitting off the screen catch and shoot with the defender all over him) then we'll struggle for sure.
3. Can we stop jimmy butler? No, I don't think so. This man is possessed right now, just gotta do our best to contest and put him in tougher situations. Especially with AD limping in the 4th qtr in game 5, Morris couldn't really matchup with Butler.
4. Can Vogel outsmart Spo? I don't think so as well. Vogel has shown that he's willing to stick to his usual guys and rotations instead of adjusting to what's been happening throughout this series. Spo has stuck to a smaller to rotation (being forced to actually with the injuries but this is playoff basketball) and has worked. It may be a big toll on the players' body, but Miami being a dog.
Just to add to your points coach, I think TEAM DEFENSE might be a good key for us on game 6. We allowed Miami to get really good looks (although some may be contested) but knowing how deadly Miami is, they can knock it down. I hope to see more coordinated defense and awareness on game 6, especially down the stretch. Similar to game 4 when we got crucial stops in the 4th qtr.
But I am loving this series, great basketball and coaching! As a Laker fan it is absolutely stressful as hell, but that's playoff basketball. I never discredited the Heat, I know what they are capable of and are putting the Lakers' backs on the wall right now. Gonna be crazy in game 6!
If only Danny Greens jumper was as smooth as Nicks transitions to a sponsor

Yes, he made the right decision: he attracted all the defense leaving shooters wide open. I am very sorry for Lebron: he is doing everything and his teammates just continue failing. That may lead to a lack of confidence in them that can be crucial against the solid Heat. On the other hand, can you imagine the assists statistics of Lebron if his companions made the shots?
Bro I love these breakdowns I can eat dinner and watch all night 😎
Can we please stop calling dany green an elite shooter? He is trash

You know he plays in the NBA, right?
always great scriptwriting from you man! aside from great content and analysis. :)
I wish coach nick just come out and say he doesn't like LeBron...
Why would u want him to say that he doesn’t like Lebron
Na you snowflakes just see facts as hate..
@J Jackson boi stop..The media has been lebrons hype train since he entered the league..The only ppl that have would even bother to criticize lebron consistently is skip and Jason Whitlock..Colin cowherd,Steven a,Ryan hollins,Jay Williams, max Kellerman and many more have been kissing lebrons ass for years..
@@Goldenboy48 you're subscribed to karceno, need I say more?
Criticism isn’t hate and how does he hate lebron. Also doesn’t he make videos about lebron dominance like in 2018 playoffs
can't stop laughing on the caruso screen🤣
🔴💯 LeBron should've just had that DANCE With JIMMY BUTLER. No screen, ISOLATE and step back shoot a mid'range like he did to Kawhi in 2013 finals to ICE IT. Go down with your 40pts or Win with 42.
Have your Jordan in 1998 moment.
In Mark Jackson words. "Excuse me, Let me have this dance." 🔥
Kyle Kusma, Markeith Morris, and Alex Caruso shows flashes of brilliance in 3quarters, good spot up shooters sometimes. However they should not be playing in the 4th quarter of any crucial basketball series for the next 3yrs --unless they exhibit a blended effort and unquestionable growth . Their inability to read the game effectively and make constructive plays is obviously limited in addition, they also foul unnecessarily. (ball watchers at times as to being alert and assertive.) This minimize the possibility of their team winning, VERY DETRIMENTAL!!
He made the right decision Lebron himself knows he’s not Kobe or Jordan so he chose to pass
The kickout was right, he didn’t have the angle, he had 4 defenders attention, and his legs weren’t giving him his usual elevation. However, I think he could have done more to get the ball back in his hands.
He'd be called selfish and clout-chasing it he'd attempted that awkward shot with 4 guys guarding him. Of all the choices Morris had with 6 seconds left, even giving it back to Green for another 3pt attempt was better than that pass.
Its not called selfishness. It will be called legacy..
Lmfaoo clout chasing? Bro do you even know what thats means
@@pbbasketball5199 I guess glory hound or glory hog would be the right word.
@@rjay8888 If it were a good shot, sure. But he drew 4 defenders leaving 2 shooters wide open. That pass would have looked genius IF Green had made the shot.
@@yamamancha you are wearing a mamba uniform. If that was kobe.. make or miss he will take that legacy shot. That is one of a lifetime opportunity to given to a few. By the way he think he is the GOAT anyway.
One of the things that any decent coach preaches to their players, more frequently in grade school, middle school and high school is to “FOLLOW YOUR SHOT.” Let that last play be a perfect example of this. If Danny followed his shot, he could have put it up real quick for a possible and-one.
Everything else aside, this was a great game played by both teams.
Lebron: Yes i will take my talents back to south beach
What’s the format now for home:away games in the playoffs?? Didn’t it change?
Random question.. anybody know??
Keep on hating, Coach! Lebron would not let this series go to 7.
He is s big hater
A big hater
Everytime LBJ or his team di something he will say it was bad defense in the opposition but if the opposition makes a shot its a talented great smart play. Pay attention he does it all the time
coach is right on this one , the heat are the better . game 7 is very likely
Morris also could've given Danny a 2nd chance. I feel like Danny would've hit the 2nd one
Of course he did, it’s just his teammates it’s always his teammates 😒
Danny Green is shooting 33% from 3 in these playoffs but the "right decision" was to make him take the last shot ...
33% is not horrendous lol
Of course he did not... That's why he lost... He lost many finals game just like this and he still didn't learn his lesson... In a night where he scored so many 3pts you take the shot and live with the results...
u dumb....
Shut up
Facts
Suspend AD for the punch on Crowder
Idk man I really feel like Kobe would’ve shot it
Yeah he would've. Check what happened Bulls vs Lakers Christmas 2011.
Yea he would’ve, but lebron isn’t Kobe
Every time Lebron makes the pass at the end of the game, it’s supposedly the right play, yet they always...literally ALWAYS lose when he does. Last shot of the game, who has the best chance to get you one basket. It’s Lebron or it’s AD.
THIS one particular time, I can live with the decision to pass to Green because it was obvious he was brought into the game specifically for that exact scenario. He just missed the shot. But the VAST majority of the time, when Lebron kicks it to a teammate, they have no idea that the ball is coming their way. He just drives and hits whoever and they have to catch and shoot at the last second. It makes a difference if they’re prepared beforehand.
5:36 Lmao AD throwing a punch at Crowder wtf
Man, I don't know why I'm laughing so hard whenever he says, Lakers were 'glitching' 😂
Aww man such a great breakdown!! Lol NBA where everyone walks lol
That transition to the ad was smooth
Coach nick, love these videos and your live streams it's been great, hopefully you will still keep us updated after the season is over 💯
Love your channel man
Besutiful breakdown as always, coach!
Thanks for the quality of your videos
I don’t understand why lebron just don’t guard jimmy butler
Was waiting on this video
For some reason, people are saying it was a bad pass. Like wtf, this man had almost 4 defenders on him and he somehow threw the ball 180 degrees through all the hands and still got within 1 meter of Green. Green even had enough time to collect and go through his shooting motion. Saying it was an out-of-rhythm shot should never be an excuse for anyone in this league. These guys should be held at a higher standard than not being in rhythm. I am more pissed off at Morris's JR impression.
Why not put KCP at the top instead of Danny Green, he's been shooting more consistently
I see that Rewinder-esque intro coach, nice stuff you got there 😉
That last play itself gave abt 50 segments to Undisputed and First take for the next 6 months
Very good analysis, Coach!
That KCP 2k lag reference 🤣🤣🤣
0:03 Bron taking 4 step travels like always 😂
Alternative title: "Markieff Morris and Danny Green compete to see who can make LeThanos snap first, ft. Butler & The South Beach Boys."
S/o to the Heat, though. They feasted (until the last 10s). 😭
One thing about that drive as well is how late LeBron passed it. I know it doesn't excuse Danny missing that shot but the tough pass did help the Heat get a glimpse of a contest on it. You could tell LeBron was stuck between wanting to win it all and passing out because he got doubled the instant he started driving and still didn't look to pass. A pass right at that moment to DG would have been great or halfway to the basket would mean if the brick happened there would be more time on the clock left. Feels like Bron had a moment he wanted to finish it off himself and then he had to concede he had to pass out for a tough pass that threw a very cold, nervous DG even more off rhythm. No a big knock on LeBron he played exceptional and it was only right for him to feel he had to do it himself but the real *right* play would have been a nice slotted pass to DG for a good rhythm Catch and Shoot.
This series deserves a Game 7 at this point
Danny Green was wide open all he had to do was take a practice shot Danny Green building a house with all these bricks
Thanks to Butler the pass was off. Shooters don’t like anything disturbing their rhythm. And even the best 3 point shooters miss about 60% of the time. Green hasn’t even been that good from three during these playoffs.
I blame KCP and JR for celebrating early 😉
Lebron like "jr noooooo"
Brw coach you cant hear someone shaking their head aha
You did a very excellent job @bballbreakdown
On the road to 1 million coach .
Thank you for your continued excellent coverage of these playoffs, Coach!! As always, love watching your videos!
Thx so much!
Morris...
."YOU TRASH."
🤣😂
