I've spent oodles of time hiking and going to the uninhabited wild side of the Columbia River when I lived in British Columbia, Canada. I've seen coyotes, a cougar black bears, a grizzly, sheep, deer, racoons, what I think was a wolverine and a elk. All of them where running in the other direction after seeing me. I've camped out overnight dozens of times unlike Lonewolf 902 who is a full time outdoorsman. The wild animals apparently left us alone overnight but I have seen tracks near camp after a evenings snooze.
Lol...Boomer is a real little boomerang 🪃. Running round and round and always returning to his Lonewolf. And that wiggy waggy tail is always fanning the air. It looks really cold 🥶 looking there but also awesome to look at. So cannot wait to see Kendra (she's so beautiful inside and out) and the wolf cub. Have an awesome time and cheers 🍻 from, thanks to our electricity giant Eskom, from darkest and wettest South Africa 🇿🇦. Love ya all.

Absolutely brilliant video and I know you must be used to the whole frozen lake/river stuff out there but you wouldn’t catch me even standing on the ice let alone camp on it 😂😂😂 (I’m UK) sheesh I’d be terrified…. Boomer in the sleeping bag is just the cutest when he pokes his head out though 😍

Have to say I felt a little nervous about you and Boomer staying on the ice after you told us it’s cracking up big time but with temperatures in a teen celcius I think the ice layer should be pretty thick to hold you both.
Boomer the usual cute himself and enjoyed the scenery from icy landscape to gorgeous night sky with perfect shot of Venus and Jupiter😊

Dude, I have been addicted to your videos since the last time you camped on that frozen lake with a wood stove. Gutsy as heck!! The ice cracking, camping on ice with a 1P ultralight summer tent, watching Boomer having a blast on the ice and staying warm in the tent, the stories, the great tips, dinner, stars at night, learning about all the camera gear you bring, frozen water in the Smart water-bottle in the morning, how the sleeping pad popped, the fix, and epic photography! This adventure was great to watch. I am not sure if I would trust ice anymore. Way back when, with northern Ontario cold, ice 🧊 was always safe but now with milder winters, not so safe.

Two things: 1) when you were putting the stakes in the ice my mind went to skrats the squirrel on ICE AGE. 2) before you told the story about being blown across the lake, I was waiting for your coffee to start sliding across the lake. Lol. I think I'd be OK walking across the lake, but sleeping on it..... not so much. So hats off to you.

I had a rough idea of how you film, but wasn't totally sure so thank you for sharing all the "behind the scenes " stuff with us. It was so interesting, and it gave me a new and deeper appreciation for all the work that goes into making the videos. I really didn't realise the amount of work it takes, so thank you so much, not just for doing it, but also explaining it.

That crack in the ice makes me nervous!! Far northern Minnesota was in the lower 40s for days Feb 10-14, and getting out on the lake was a bit scary. Fish houses were brought in, though sleds out in abundance. I'd packed for the usual -20. Oh well... Loved the balmy weather. The wind there, on that lake, makes it awfully cold!

I lived in Yosemite valley during the early 70's year-round. Snow camping was not my favorite, but I did enjoyed the silence that comes with snow. It's quiet, muted, glowing and amazing, but too cold for a regular gig! My favorite time was late autumn, cuz you could just reach out and touch those stars while lying in your bag!

That’s great you fixed that patch! I once used a bike kit patch kit. And it also worked great! Inter tube patch kit. 👍 much easier to find in a bind. Thanks for all your videos. Still love ‘em! And your pup reminds me of mine so much. Especially how he put the bread down! Then ate it. Lil brats🥰

I have camped on Lake Saint Clair for a week while ice fishing. All you need os a insulated Tent (ice shanty) and a wood stove. In theory you could stay on the ice until spring.

Fascinating on the ice. Never seen this before. Btw, I loved seeing a video today where your baby was watching you on the screen. Sweet as. Back to the ice, I would have avoided that white line as I assume that has been a crack. Doesn't make any difference I assume.

Hey buddy, I was watching this other camping video, And he was burning chunks of wood blocks. And it made me think of you! When i use to live in Indiana people that had wood stoves at home, They would go to the ( railroad tie plant ) and buy truck load of tie cut off ends cheap. That would be great for your camping wood stove.
