My first thought when I saw this was it would make an awesome camper. Looks cool and it's a manageable size. I wouldn't sacrifice privacy for it but I would definitely try to preserve the view out of the windows with a camper conversion. Really makes the inside more spacious.
Quite a few people here in Australia actually have converted Toyota Coasters to Motorhomes, Except our Aussie Spec ones are a bit different. Most of them are manual instead of Auto. Earlier ones have the 1HZ or the 15B with the later ones having the Hino NO4C, They are generally a 21 or 22 seat. I’ve driven a few of them mostly the 1994 - 2010 models and love them for a Mini Bus, The 2 AC’s are generally 1 is the front driver AC the other is the rear passenger AC. Have a look for “Toyota Coaster Motorhome” here on the old RUclips’s and that’ll give you an idea what folks have done with them, The last one I drove was this 2010 model which will show you the slight difference between the JDM Hino Liesse / Toyota Coaster compared to the Aussie Toyota Coaster ruclips.net/video/InZW_I7r9t0/видео.html
Since it's coming to the UK I am curious to know how it would perform in a drag race against various British buses. I reckon it will have a good chance against ADL Enviro 400 MMCs. Put it up against an older Enviro 200 with an Allison transmission or Optare Solo and it might struggle, make that a 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins engined Solo and this will have no chance.
I have been waiting for it for a while, shout out to JDM Tree. But what are we going to call the other tree now that it has been specifically pointed out?
We had two weeks off during the new year. We got many many many many emails and it'll take some time to get through them. I promise you will get a reply soon.
OMG, guess I commented too soon, that I have never seen you do a Coaster. Yeah these are up and down on our roads as commuter buses. You have dudes who will do all kinds of things to the engines, to make them faster. The base engine, gives good speed on the roads, but when it comes to a hill and carrying load its a totally different story. It is weak as water, even the versions of these buses with 6 cylinder diesel, is very poor as well.
I own it. Toyota Coaster. Passengers love it
💢PEOPLE OF THE UK, SOMEONE IS A VERY LUCKY PERSON TO GET THIS WONDERFUL VAN.💢
Hi! Glad you like it. 🙂 Yes, we are very lucky.
Toyota coaster!🎥👍
This could be the first Hino mini bus in the UK! Hope I am lucky enough to spot it.
Give us a wave and say hi if you do! 🙂
Mmmm 1HD-FTE, such a distinctive idle sound
Yep just like the 1vd fte they sounds awesome 👌
When I saw and heard the cold start I welled up a little 😂

Our thoughts exactly.🙂 Temperature control will be a challenge in hot and cold climates but we've got some plans for that

Speaking of busses, I see your neighbor still has the Fuso Rosa.
Manual transmission buses probably aren't that rare, all the light buses in Hong Kong are still manual.
Toyota Coaster!! I miss those speed displays warning us that the bus is exceeding 80km/h.

Okay, that’s pretty awesome.

Amazing bus!
Nice bus ❤️ I wish Canada allowed for the bus imports . 😐 really wanted one until I found out .
Why don't Canada Allow buses like these into the country?
Do they not? Why not? I wanted to convert an old bus into a camper
Ive actually been looking at ordering a bus to convert to a R/V camper/Shop rig for events and stuff
Thats sweet 🍬
What's the difference between this and the Coaster?
Name and badge, that's it
I was confused at first and then very interested. Unexpected
It will be interesting to see if this becomes more popular, there's a lot of ugly, rusty junk on the UK market.
I have been waiting for it for a while, shout out to JDM Tree. But what are we going to call the other tree now that it has been specifically pointed out?
This was my school bus
Oh man...I would *NOT* want to drive that on those side streets around your lot. Good luck moving it!
To be honest driving it in England isn't going to be much better 😂
this is awesome!
Glad you like it, we're sooo excited but there's a lot of work ahead... 💪👍

Huh, I didn't know it was supposed to be pronounced as He-no, but it's a cool bus nonetheless.
so wait how do you pronounced it?
its always heeno to me.
@@Banom7a I pronounced it Hi-no.
@@kodessa 'Hi' in Japanese is like the sound 'he' in English, and 'he' is more like 'heh'
@@Will_M600 I didn't know that! Thank you for teaching me.
