Her voice is beautiful and she has a powerfulI way of expressing her emotions. In the mv IU is deaf and Tae is blind from one eye. In the last scene she covers his good eye to protect him.
It seems thet the cube represents the society's opression towards who is different.

Song was beautiful and the acting from both was so good that 5 min felt like seconds. The award winning director from Concrete Utopia did this MV. So proud of V aka Kim Taehyung with his acting…it was AMAZING. IU as well as Bangtantv put out behind the scenes of the making of this and I invite you to watch it. 💜

His screaming when he's attacking the cube in the behind the scenes broke my soul. They were incredible. I swear I hope this wins an Oscar!
I'd recommend checking out his song For Us, ideally the live at his Tiny Desk performance a few months back. His idol name is V, he's JK's bandmate 💜
This will not be eligible for an Oscar. I hope IU submits it for Grammy consideration next year, though, for best music video.

The director did say viewers can have their own interpretation.
The camcorder serves as a filter and allows imagination to roam freely. Everything is imagination through the camcorder.
Reality resumes when you see their wounds and tattered clothes.
In the end, the two of them are seen ascending to a better place through the camcorder, while they are eradicated in reality.
So sad. So beautiful. So brutally real.

The cube 'Nemo' represents the discrimination towards marginalized people (symbolized in IU being mute and Taehyung being blind in one eye).
They stayed together till the end with their love sustained, free from all oppression and pressure from society.

Unfortunately, South Korea is highly judgmental country and in order not to get hate or a death threats as the majority of Korean fans (and the rest of the Conservatives on earth) practice per usual if something does not suit their mental capacity, only relationship between female and male characters, in one eye blind V of BTS and deaf and mute I.U are depicted in MV.
CUBE is used as a metaphor for a "perfect society" pointing fingers, trying to put everyone who is different inside their own ugly thinking box, scrutinising, judging, abusing, insulting and in many cases killing other people with a different point of view and love preferences. The world which is trying everything to look down on "inperfects", "damaged goods", those with some disabilities, free-spirited individuals forcing to comply what they are convinced is the "righteousness". Going after minorities, hating on everything and everyone they even do not know, not letting people love who they love, not letting people be who they want to be, seeng ugliness in love and freedom instead of the beauty and power of love, the only thing real in this computer simulated programme, the game called 'Human Civilisation' you all are experiencing.
This song, IU's and V's top, madterful acting, her incredebly heavenly voice, MV, meaning, message behind to how beautiful and perfect life could be as shown through lovers camera lenses wuthout haters in Director Uhm's work is a pure cinematic masterpiece, a great example, the reminder to entire Humankind that only thing what really matters is freedom, kindness and love towards one and all.
Manage to achieve all said above in a just 5:23 minutes on top of heartbreakingly sad, melancholic, tragic yet most beautiful love story is nothing short of the miracle, the miracle that the glorious, eternal love itself is.
Take best care of yourselves, to others and to each other, and remember that only Love Wins all.
