I’ve always noticed how the in-between of ASMR is the most relaxing part for me. It’s like I get the relaxation and the tingles, and then I get a moment of peace and quiet where there’s nothing going on. In videos with that, I usually fall asleep in those in-betweens.
I didn't realize there is an absence of "prep time" between triggers until someone requested the "prep time" be left in. And i love not editing that transition out! The sounds of gathering the materials for the next trigger together gave me more tingles than the actual trigger itself. I think I would get immense pleasure from a video that was just all prep time. Like a being the scenes thing, as if the camera wasn't even on. In proper asmr fashion of course. Slow and methodical with lots of set up noises!
Ephemeral rift has a video called "I hope you are doing well". Where he chooses a bunch of triggers he plans on using for his "Next video". He doesn't acknowledge the camera he just gets ready. OMG THE SILENCE TRIGGER IS SO NICE!!!! “And I’m going to go get my books….” and you leave to go get them, followed by some natural background sounds as you grab them: SUPER TINGLY
I love when people are talking to themselves quietly, just thinking out loud while they are closely examining an item or trying to figure something out
This is sooo true. When I was younger I remember having a new watch (this was back in the 80s and digital watches were the thing to have). Friends would like to press the buttons and have a look at the settings while I was wearing it and I always remembered the magnetic little buzz of pleasure I would get as they fiddled around with it. Over the years I would sometimes try to describe the sensation to people but never had someone confirmed they had also experienced it. As ASMR revealed itself as a phenomenon, I began to realise that this was that feeling I used to get when I was younger. Your description has really zeroed in on the sort of trigger that I experience.

The thing that introduced me to asmr was soundscapes where you could really get the sense of the layout of a whole room. Plus the contrast between talking at a distance and up close whispering or soft speaking is SO nice. Keeping in moments like that or when you move or adjust equipment was definitely a bonus effect of that 'silence trigger' for me Also the 'mirror me' section was SO good, would definitely watch a whole video of that

Behind the camera triggers were my favorite. Gibi being completely out of frame somewhere else in room and having no visual for the triggers themselves with also the sounds being a bit further away gave me the most relaxing tingles. Definitely something I will be looking out for from now on.
The first memory i have of ASMR was being taught how to tie shoelaces by my Nan. She was always so calm and patient, we sat for an hour or so with a pair of trainers on the kitchen table with her going through the process. Ever since then the best triggers for me have come from someone actively teaching something. Superb work Gibi.
Some of my earliest memories of getting tingles that has also continued throughout my entire life is when someone (for example a teacher of a class) would slowly walk around the room while everyone was either taking a test or reading or whatever while the class was silent. Something about slow, quiet steps makes me feel so calm and gives me tingles in the back of my head.
Not an ASMR trigger, but I was talking to a friend and when they heard my chinchilla drinking water from her bottle, he said “that sound hits different.” And we were talking about how when we hear our pets drinking it’s like calming and reassuring that they’re safe and taken care of

Next Hot Wheels Video on Gibi ASMR Channel: “Hot Wheels Mechanic Garage Role Play- Fixing Squeaky Wheels Service” and the video is a concerned Hot Wheels mechanic asking about how long the squeaks have been happening and other check-in stuff. Then the mechanic starts the wheel treatment, and after the super tingly treatment, its time for a test drive to make sure the treatment fixed the problem. The mechanic drives it on books, cardboard, metal cookie sheets for baking, hardwood floors, hot wheels tracks, slightly crinkled tissue paper used in gift wrapping on the floor, etc. Could be a series, Since the hot wheels are older, maybe after the wheel treatment they need a cool/refreshed paint job, or maybe its sharing your hot wheels collection, hot wheels race tournament where you put the cars in heats against each other and move one car at a time and gibi decides which one wins in the moment like the mochi races on tik tok, etc.
The tapping on the spine of that Calvin and Hobbes book gave me so many tingles! I don't usually get tingles from most asmr so that was a super pleasant surprise. I love these videos, they always end up being super relaxing!

For me it's heartbeat sounds. I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic so my heart rate is always elevated🥲so soft, relaxed heartbeat sounds have always been relaxing to me, sort of a grounding technique almost.
You know what I’m realizing? I just used asmr to fall asleep last night. I woke up and kinda wanted to finish this video just to see what the triggers were out of curiosity. I finished the video and clicked another video, and immediately closed youtube because I wasn’t ready for it to be so aggressive and loud. I watched one more video and I was fully wide awake and felt great. I’m realizing that asmr is also a great way to wake up too, because it’s slow and calming, so it lets me wake up slowly while giving me something to focus on to stay awake once I’m already rested. Edit: if you have the time of course. I accidentally woke up like an hour early lol

Oddly specific request: librarians used to have to scan books on a flat metal machine. I don’t know about all of you but since Gibi is on their well-deserved break I find myself looking forward even more to Saturdays/days they upload a video. Seeing a new Gibi video on my subscription feed is truly a highlight of my week, especially since I’ve personally been struggling with my anxiety a lot recently. I’m rewatching a lot of their older content currently and returning to some favourites has been really nice.
@@Brrrrrrre Or maybe you just keep negative comments to yourself. We’re here to relax, not to put others down. I want to clarify that Gibi said in their video that any pronouns are fine with them. :)
@@Brrrrrrre What is your point trying to argue about another person’s gender identity? Neither I nor you know how Gibi feels and it is none of our business to assign any gender to them. They/them are the neutral pronouns to use for any person who has not explicitly mentioned their pronouns, as the English language/grammar suggests. I recommend you watch the Pride Month video and listen to Gibi’s own explanation of their gender identity and maybe even learn something new about a wonderful community!
I LOVE the nonediting too! We love seeing and hearing you prep . It’s asmr just as much as anything else you do. You’re in thought to do something for us and it’s so soothing. Best way I can explain it.
Question just because I'm so curious. How does it work for the kids? You put a worksheet per plastic cover? Is this to be able to erase the marker?? We always used pencil or crayons directly on paper...
@@o0laieta0o hi teacher here, kids still use lots of pencil and pen on normal paper worksheets as they always have. But if you put a worksheet in the plastic cover you can just use it like a whiteboard. And for children they feel much more relaxed and happy to give things a go when they perceive the markers to be much less permanent as they can just be rubbed off, it makes them more comfortable with making mistakes.
OH MY GOSH i jumped when I heard my name! The segment was perfect, thank you so much!! 💜💜 so happy to be part of the video, hope everyone else enjoyed the trigger too! 🥰
Serena: I will take tweezers and wood separately, whatever you're willing to give Gibi: *has wooden tweezers* Serena: *asmr trigger overload*, probably
i love the mirroring bit, the finger fluttering especially gave me tingles, i also love the chain sounds! as a kid i loved getting my moms necklaces and dropping them slowly in my hand in a circular motion over and over again
One trigger that really stuck out to me when I was watching one of your face adjustment videos from a few months back was rubbing a cotton swab on the inside of this little black box! I couldn't tell if the box was cardboard or wood or what it was, but the sound of the cotton swab drawing on the inside of it is sooo tingly and I would love for you to bring that back.
the behind the camera was surprisingly good! i noticed that in videos where someone walks behind the camera for a second to do something and it's not visible, those little moments are actually some of the most relaxing. crazy that someone noticed it and you actually made a whole segment for it lol, thanks gibi. also wow the wood and tweezers one is so weird but SO good. how do these people come up with these things LMAO
I really like the behind the camera stuff. It's like when people give you a haircut or massage. You can't see them but they are giving you personal attention
This definitely shouldn't have been my first video into ASMR, I got so confused right when she began talking about "triggers" but I also don't regret finding it because this was the first time I really ever enjoyed ASMR! Book Spine Tapping, Mirror Me, Cold Chains, PLASTIC COVERED WORKSHEETS, and even Face-counting! It was all so relaxing and made me forget an hour went by. Can't wait to watch more of your work! 💚
Ah those are all amazing! Another really rare trigger is when someone is explaining something about our face while tracing their own. It’s so relaxing and gives me so many tingles
Would the camera coming in and out of focus combined with sound fading in and out be a rare trigger? It would be like going in and out of consciousness in a movie/video game. I’ve always enjoyed the visual stuff more. It’s funny cause the autofocus can be a pain for creators but I enjoy it.
i feel like ive seen creators intentionally do this in some higher quality roleplay videos like “ur kidnapper puts you to sleep” or “helping you with ur concussion” or something 😂 also rip niners season brother :,(
I literally love the counting on your face one for some reason it gives me the most tingles out of all of these I also really like the book spine tapping! Love these two, also keep up the good work Gibi!
Looking at the timestamps in the description, I noticed that book spine tapping is one of the triggers, and I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH. I wasn't the one who asked for this trigger, but just recently I realized how good of a trigger this is, so I'm super excited!
Pronouncing the g in ing words is kind of a deep track trigger you just made me remember that I love! It is definitely something asmr darling does too.
When you had one of the chains and said it closes with magnets that snap together I wanted to hear that sound so much! The frustration when it didn't happen LOL. I never realized I like that trigger so much, so maybe for a next video? It's something I never really find either. The only one I remember is in your first flight attendant video, when you snap together the neck pillow. So satisfying! :)

I really like the sounds of cars, the hum of AC, etc. in the background. Most asmrists try so hard to cut it out or film when its quiet but I think its nice!
One weird trigger I just realized I like is neighborhood sounds. Idk if this makes sense, but I didn't grow up in a neighborhood, so hearing my apartment neighbors using a leaf blower in the distance or hose and things like that on a lazy Sunday morning help me go right back to sleep and it's so calming. It's like a relaxing way of saying "spring is coming!". I just don't know how you could simulate those sounds tbf 😅
Me too, babes. The stress is REAL and I feel like a lot of us out there are just trying to get through the day and onto the next. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone, though! Rough times mean that something good Is around the corner, you just have to keep pushing through the dark to see the light! Much love 💖
I’ve never fallen asleep to ASMR - until now. I listen to relax & hadn’t considered most of these triggers before. Then - ZONK! This is so good, Gibi. Thank you.
I LOVED the nonediting of the pauses inbetween triggers. I didn't realize how relaxing those moments are when they happen naturally in the real world.
It just gives you time to take it all in an absorb the sounds and silence
I’ve always noticed how the in-between of ASMR is the most relaxing part for me. It’s like I get the relaxation and the tingles, and then I get a moment of peace and quiet where there’s nothing going on. In videos with that, I usually fall asleep in those in-betweens.

I really love this kind of casual laid back asmr. It feels like hanging out with a friend. Thank you again Gibi, you’re amazing as always❤️
ok why did the "mirror me" one made so much fun. Couldn't stop smiling during the whole thing.

I didn't know but it's super relaxing, love it!
Congrats she replied
One of my children has night terrors and I have insomnia. When he has a night terror and because I stay up so long, I’ll wake him up, have him lay with me and play GIBI ASMR or Celaines ASMR. Y’all have helped us get through some rough nights. Thank you.
i love the downtime. the silence or even just the rustling of someone's clothes when theyre picking something up
Why did I never realized Hot Wheels noises could be so relaxing!? I even had so many as a kid... Now I need to find them! 😆
I thought I had no use for mine but now I’m so obsessed with doing that with my hot wheels
Hot wheels never die ya going on rode ye 🤣 question is tho where 🤣🤣 jk jk
@@willow417 omg yes that would be amazing!
I honestly just love how softly you talk in this video. It calms my anxiety by a lot.
I never expected that Gibi rummaging stuff in the background would give me tingles! 🤣 Love the videos as always Gibi
oh
55:27 - I could listen to Gibi talk about movies while tapping the cases for hours! Awesome little segment.
i know right, that was weirdly satisfying, also, as a side note thats the first dvd case ive ever seen with tabs on it, wtf was the point in those?

The tapping on the spine of that Calvin and Hobbes book gave me so many tingles! I don't usually get tingles from most asmr so that was a super pleasant surprise. I love these videos, they always end up being super relaxing!
I really like it was _you can feel it as if it’s in your ear,_ sounds weird, but that’s just what really gives me that tingle sensation
I think kellybelly does the silence trigger when she "poses" for like 3 seconds right after unpredictable fast triggers. It really is nice

Is it just me but I absolutely loved being able to hear gibi breathing deeply. I have lung problems so breathing effortlessly has always been fascinating and relaxing to me, i feel weird saying that but eh
quite literally just thought about that while reading the comments😂 but it totally agree with you, I love listening to people breathe in general
@@treeteethh yeah listening to people breathing is really calming for me too. whenever I had a bad dream when I was young, I went to my parent's bedroom and hopped in bed. listening to my parents breath always helped me calm down and get to sleep
I can’t relate, but I find this comment and its replies to be quite fascinating
For me it's heartbeat sounds. I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic so my heart rate is always elevated🥲so soft, relaxed heartbeat sounds have always been relaxing to me, sort of a grounding technique almost.
I'm currently sick with covid so having an hour long video is a welcoming treat to have. I'd love more of the silence trigger/minimal editing videos!
Please do the silence more often! It feels so natural like we’re hanging out with you! Honestly the less “produced” editing is 😻😻😻
You know what I’m realizing?

The books always had that plastic library cover and the librarians would press on the book and slide first the back cover and then the spine over the metal machine to scan in the bar code. I loved that crinkle on metal sound and the careful pressing motion of the librarians. Not sure if anyone knows what I'm talking about?

They’re onto something with the dead space of silence …. Didn’t know I loved that. It feels like my love language of quality time!! Just existing in the same safe space. Loved this and I hope it could make a cameo in some other vids!
They/them?
@@Brrrrrrre you'll get over it
@@Brrrrrrre Or maybe you just keep negative comments to yourself. We’re here to relax, not to put others down. I want to clarify that Gibi said in their video that any pronouns are fine with them. :)
@@pikagirl3963 Gibi stated in their Pride Month Special that they go by any pronouns.
The silent trigger was actually really really nice
Yesss
Yesss so true!
I agree!
Right? I feel like some people get lost in the sounds and kinda forget about the rest of the ambiance.
I loved the dry erase markers on worksheets in clear sheets! I’m an elementary school teacher and always like using those with my students!
And for children they feel much more relaxed and happy to give things a go when they perceive the markers to be much less permanent as they can just be rubbed off, it makes them more comfortable with making mistakes.
obsessed with ALL of these… the only video that gets me, my fiancé and our 3year old ALL to sleep we LOVE!
OH MY GOSH i jumped when I heard my name! The segment was perfect, thank you so much!! 💜💜 so happy to be part of the video, hope everyone else enjoyed the trigger too! 🥰
Serena: I will take tweezers and wood separately, whatever you're willing to give
Gibi: *has wooden tweezers*
Serena: *asmr trigger overload*, probably
i love the mirroring bit, the finger fluttering especially gave me tingles, i also love the chain sounds! as a kid i loved getting my moms necklaces and dropping them slowly in my hand in a circular motion over and over again
you are so amazing. by far my favorite videos on youtube period
okay..
The dry erase markers + the soft whisper... perfection! Sooooo many tingles!!!!!

I’ve always loved how Ozley Asmr speaks as she does the -ing style words perfectly, all the time. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed that :)
the behind the camera was surprisingly good! i noticed that in videos where someone walks behind the camera for a second to do something and it's not visible, those little moments are actually some of the most relaxing. crazy that someone noticed it and you actually made a whole segment for it lol, thanks gibi. also wow the wood and tweezers one is so weird but SO good. how do these people come up with these things LMAO
I really like the behind the camera stuff. It's like when people give you a haircut or massage. You can't see them but they are giving you personal attention
I didn't expect the mirror me triggers to be so good, I think I need more now😳
This definitely shouldn't have been my first video into ASMR, I got so confused right when she began talking about "triggers" but I also don't regret finding it because this was the first time I really ever enjoyed ASMR!
The “mirror me” one was my favorite. So relaxing😴😴
Thank you for the amazing asmr!
thank you for watching!! :DD

The counting to 10 and touching face was one of the best triggers ever! So calming! Please make more of that!

the numbers with the circle and the dot at the end gave me my first tingles I’ve had in so long
One weird trigger I just realized I like is neighborhood sounds.
