Its funny how all the supposed attempts to convince people to get married and have more kids never seems to include increasing wages to return us to a time where a family could sustain itself on a single income.
I was born in 1956. My father quit college 2 years in to marry Mom because I was on the way, 2 brothers followed. Mom rarely worked for wages but helped with garden and sewing. Pop had a union job. We lived in a lovely suburban house with 2 cars that were always running, adequate medical and dental care, and all the basics. My brothers and I assumed we and our kids could live as well, but Reagan's Trickle Down Economics ruined that. The wealth gap grows every decade. My surviving brother has great-grandchildren. I hate to wonder what "standard of living" working class folks will have when those kids are grown.

In order for that class to be allowed, 20 pages from our textbooks had to be ripped out and we were told we'd have to guess on the AP exam if questions were asked about it. A teacher had to pretend to not have a spouse since they were married to someone of the same gender. I've been told my ability to keep getting birth control in Florida might be limited. Just graduated too and I had similar experiences in Tennessee. In AP human geography we had to dance around racial topic’s because of Critical Race Theory restrictions passed in the state even though race (not CRT) was a core part of a unit covering demographics. We eventually got tired of it though and basically did a vote in class to override the rule and let our teacher teach us anyways. Got a 5 on the exam and he left after that year so I don’t really care about saying this. Tennessee is also just kind of horrible for education. Governor bill lee is literally in the pockets of charter and private schools along with a good portion of the republican caucus, including the house speaker who sends his kids to private schools in Nashville despite the fact that he’s supposed to live in Crossville (nearly 100 miles away). That means almost none of them have to feel the actual effects of what they pass or write so for the past two or so years they’ve done everything possible to force through school privatization policy’s which even their own caucus members have voted down. This was even pushed to the point of trying to deny billions in federal funds for education but I don’t believe that ever left the press room inside of the governors mansion (because nobody supported it). This, to me, seems like the exact playbook behind no child left behind. It’s not meant to actually improve schools or help kids it’s just grandstanding meant to make charter and private schools more profitable by cutting out the competition. That entails defunding public schools, complicating the system, and making teachers lives as unbearable as possible. If they do that they can say that public schools have lower tests scores, gpa’s, and performance which allows them to send more funding, kids, and dollars to their charter school friends. It’s not that hard to understand and it’s the opposite of a centralized system which the best schooling systems in the world have used.
Bottom line, America is a business and they will want to get corporations to get as rich as they can, they need cheap labor so they want women to have as many kids as they can plus start them in the workforce as early as possible. The 1% will only make changes that fill up their pockets.

my favorite part about Newspeak, is that it restricts the language _and_ the government. There is a scene in 1984 in which a government worker is reeducated because he used the word "God" when creating a censored version of a poem. God is the only word in Newspeak that both rhymed _and_ fit the context of the poem. Even if people are taught to ignore inconsistencies, if the government actively pursues "purity" the government will restrict itself. That is the irony of 1984: the government is a slave to its own purity.
The word has been used irresponsibly for years referring to things that weren't it. This is the real deal. I wonder if people will be so desensitized they don't take it seriously.

I loved this video! I wanted to add that the removal of gender from legal protections is wild. Yea it would hurt trans people, but it would hurt cis people too. The original reason it was added was because a cis woman was fired for being too manly. Not how she dressed, but just how her body looked. In the 1989 U.S. Supreme Court case Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins it was ruled that sex stereotyping was sex discrimination. So if they remove legal protection for gender identity it will open the door to harass/fire anyone for however they look regardless of their actual gender. It really opens up the door to removing women from the work force entirely and forcing men to dress and look however their boss thinks men should look. It would be awful for everyone.

Another nation 91 years ago had a government come to power with an arguably a similar manifesto. They made rapid change, limited the rights of all except very few, and strengthened their country militarily. They united the peoples of their nation, punished those who they deemed "unfit", and began work towards permanent change. Within 6 years, that country went from struggling with massive unemployment and a poor economy, to becoming an absolute powerhouse. Sounds like it worked for them, so why not America... right? That is until you realise, that was Germany under the Nazi regime. I wish people would actually read this manifesto and see what they're going to lose, rather than hear vague promises and say "hey, anything to keep them democrats out of power". Because that's exactly how the Nazis won their elections.
Additionally you also get to realise that they profited from a recovering world economy, fudged the numbers by puposefully creating make-work jobs with pay not better than unemployment benefits and at the end of it all the economy was a house of cards that had the choice between going to war or collapsing.

When it is over, I wake up the next morning, and it’s like a light switch flipped off and nothing happened. Women who have PCOS, PMDD or endometriosis will go back to struggles with their mental and physical health if contraception is taken away. I get old men in power don’t care about that, but those of us who are on birth control, whose quality of life is better because of it, do.
I had a friend who had to take birth control to have periods because she'd go like six months without one. There are many reasons why someone needs them.
Thank you. Not many people seem to realize this. I've been on various birth controls for 10+ years because I have severe endometriosis. The pain alone was unbearable, but having 3 week long heavy periods and anemia with only a week or less between wasn't fun either. Progestin shots, implants, and pills have greatly improved my life.
If I wasn't on birth control, it's very likely I would be incapable of functioning at any level for 90 percent of the month. Most of the time my pain is so severe I can only manage to lay down and pray for relief, and if I get up I'll usually pass out or throw up. I actually live on birth control and pain meds daily to function, if they took that away I'd have to probably be considered disabled, but it sounds like they want to get rid of disability too. If you're unlucky and have any rough patches in life, the GOP will not be there to assist you that's for damn sure.
I'm so glad I have birth control because they let me predict when my period is gonna start (because they were still irregular 9 years after my first period) and I noticed they're lighter and cause less cramping.
YES!! I had to start the pill because my period lasted an entire month. I was an emotional mess, constantly bleeding, and borderline suicidal toward the end. Add insult to injury, I discovered I'm allergic to Always brand pads too! Sex ED really needs a revamp
Its getting worse here actually i think soon we will have a conservative majority government and have some similar laws maybe not even close to as bad but wouldnt be suprised if we followed suit
This left out the part where the book demands the death penalty for "Child abusers" after calling LGBT people and their affirming allies (friendly heterosexuals) child abusers.
It is consistent with their current rhetoric. Calling all LGBT people groomers unequivocally. Groomers are bad obviously, but using the term in that manner is just a dogwhistle. And also it is a minefield to respond to, because you can bet any response from them won't be in good faith..
It's every predator's fantasy. It's ALREADY extremely difficult to prove a case of abuse. Judges and juries already consider the registry life ruining enough predators can get off the hook and their victims accused of trying to "Ruin a fine man's life" all the time. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how this will effect family cases, that's already difficult enough as is. Victims will never be believed again, because no family or jury will have the guts to dish out that penalty.
Same with the idiots that beat their chests with Elon Musk owning twitter. Tim Pool is a good example where he was like, "freedom!!!!" when Elon took over, but looks the other way that anyone who disagrees with King Musk of X gets banned.
"Fatherlessness" is not gonna be fixed by forcing women to have unwanted children to abusive men. The social impacts of "fatherlessness" can be mitigated by a proper social safety net because *most* of the problems relate to poverty.
Also, what happens if a man who is married, father to children, suddenly dies due to a fatal accident, murder, war, cancer or other reason? Are the nutcases of Project 2025 then going to issue a new loving father to the widow and semi-orphaned children? /sarcasm
@@TF2CrunchyFrog That was something I was wondering about as well. They want the women to stay home and care for the kids while the men do all the work but with how high the cost of living is currently the man would then have to take on multiple jobs which could then lead him to overworking himself to the point of a heart attack. Or if the man is serving in the military and gets killed by an IED or some other attack what happens then? Or you know cancer is a thing despite what these nutjobs may think so what happens if the man gets cancer and cant afford to take time off work to get treatment? Its just absurd. This sounds like something you would hear about in a movie or some other fictional world. But this is VERY real and they actually want to do this crap
A major cause of "Fatherlessness" is the mass incareration we see in the US. If the GOP really wanted to help they advocate for prison and police reform, end the War on Drugs, and commute current sentences. But of course that isn't what this is really about - it is about controlling women.
The government should not have the right to mix Church and State, but here we are with Project 2025, wanting to actually mix church and state. w t f ? 🤷♀
Crazy thing is I hear my conservative parents talk of "if we do more religion it fixes everything" too, just like what this proposal states. Like I love my parents, I really do, but I don't think "Make America Christian" is gonna fix the problem. I don't think it'll make things *worse* (at least significantly) but it's not the magical solution everyone seems to think it is. It just buries the atrocities.
For a man with property in Florida, not wanting to know when a hurricane is coming just proves how foolish Trump's decisions can be, especially with property investment.
How can trump say he doesn’t know anything about the project, but also says he disagrees with parts of the same project? To disagree with it means you know about it.
This is not surprising behaviour for Trump. The weird thing is when people think he agrees with the KKK when he says they're nice people. If he's lying all the time, he must be lying then too. Otherwise, he must be telling the truth sometimes and then maybe he really doesn't like Project 2025. Don't get me wrong - Trump is a very bad person. But you can't trust him on bad things or good things. He's lying about all of it. It's the people who WROTE Project 2025 that you should worry about as they're the idealogues.
Trumps tried and true strategy is to take all positions on divisive subjects. Then he can always say he always agreed. And if someone confronted him or his followers with his two opposing opinions, it's just more fake news... Like his legal defense. Use every excuse and hope one sticks, even if they contradicts each other.
I am so stuck on trying to understand, how can any human being read or write these words and agree with them? "We will make you free! By taking away your freedoms to your body, health, sexuality, religion and identity!" They are literally holding up a leash and saying if they can put it on you you will be "free". Please US, win this fight, vote if you can. I'm European but we watch with worry too, if this goes through it will ripple across the world and hurt all of us.
Thats a tenet of fascism. These people aren't exactly franco or mussolini but their methods are the same. They want the nation to be reborn from decadence and free people by enslaving them.
It's the same logic behind so called "Prussian Socialism": The worker sweats for his corporate overlord who works for the benefit of the state and people, but he is proud to receive the minimum of pay and to be fired for an on-the-job injury.
They think it's freedom because sharing power often feels like being robbed of power. If someone isn't being oppressed, then these people don't feel safe

I was the kid that couldn’t always afford lunch at school and had to sit and watch everyone else eat while I was hungry. My mom always did her best but it was hard when the lunch money went low and the school put a note on your shirt or made you sit at a table in the cafeteria for kids that didn’t have lunch money. Some days I had to sit there alone and as kids passed to dump their trays, they would laugh and call you poor. The “no lunch money” table was right by the trash cans, too, so kids would throw their uneaten lunches out right in front of us and tell us to “go get our lunch” if we were hungry. It’s senselessly cruel. Whenever I had money and couldn’t finish my lunch, I tried to share it with others. I got detention for it.
Detention? My country isn't perfect but at least we haven't come to this kind of selfishness and lack of ethics. They're literally teaching the children to be stingy. It wouldn't happen here in Costa Rica and I guess wouldn't either in any European country. Your country is sick, pardon me.
Wow. I've never heard of this happening at any school I've been to in the US. Not to call you a liar, I believe it, but as a former teacher myself: what faculty is so depraved they'll enforce a directive to punish hungry children? I sadly have no questions about the kind of politician that would make such a directive...

"There's no government program that can replace the hole in a child's soul cut out by the absence of a father". That's why we encourage a system where fathers will have to work 10 to 12 hours a day and spend no time with their family at all to maintain the family, as the wife will have to stay home and care for the children.
The obvious solution to this problem is stronger maternity and paternity rights. As well as subsidised childcare. Oh and a good min wage. If you have kids with strong protections and livable wage etc, it's much easier to raise kids
even if the father works 10 to 12 hours it wont be enough feeding and housing a whole family of four. There is no alternative to women working. But who will take care of the children you might ask, Project has you covered, just give your kids to the mines.

if the local news went through project 2025 every day instead of a dog that barks hello , it would help save America. 80% of americans would be horrified at the contents of project 2025.
I think that is way to optimistic. A lot of ppl realy just want this cause however horible it might be it's simple. And that is something human pschycologie likes. Simple structures.
Most local news stations are owned by big corporations that stand to benefit from GOP corporate tax cuts. They don't want to tell you the truth as long as they can make money showing you a dog barking hello instead.
Something like 40% of local news channels are owned by the same Conservative media company. They push "must run" stories to the local affiliates which risk termination if they don't run it. Local news agents might want to dig into these issues, which definitely matter to their communities, but they just get fired and replaced by a more manageable mouthpiece. And before anyone counter with liberal focused news apparati, I'm not cool with that either. There's just basically none of them in local broadcast to the degree Sinclair is, and even then, most don't actually push the must run stuff.
@@koenvandiepen7651 Not all humans want simple structures. From a European POV, this obsession with what women can and can't do is not different from some other religion-driven states the USA claim to hate for their lack of freedom.
Top Republicans believe in the freedom to shoot their pet dogs, as well as hating cats. The notorious "project 2025" has a clause bringing in a National Pet Ban.
More accurately, project 1984. Because this “project” is more close to the oppression of big brother that George Orwell wrote up once. And ngl, it should stay in a fictional dystopian universe and not become real life America!
Religion has no place in government. In a place like America where there are so many different faiths, a separation of church and state is necessary. It's funny how Christians preach about religious persecution and how their beliefs aren't respected...to then do the same thing to others. All because they believe theirs is the "true God" so all other religious beliefs are irrelevant to them I guess. Which is pretty damn hypocritical. I do want to say that not all Christians are like that. In fact, I know quite a few who agree with separation of church and state and believe in the old saying "live and let live".

For anyone who doesn't know: the Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood was inspired by historical events. It's fiction, but everything you read happened somewhere, at some point in time. America becoming "Gilead" someday could actually happen because similar situations have happened before.

Considering most people will tell you the number one reason those who want to have kids WON'T is the fact they can't afford anything.

If it says something like "prop purposed" or has colors swapped or different portrait etc, it's not considered counterfeit unless attempting to use it. Another nation 91 years ago had a government come to power with an arguably a similar manifesto. @orlandoescobar5174 because most likely, if there isn't a father in the picture, there will be no support of any kind
@@orlandoescobar5174the biggest issue with single parenthood is inherent poverty and a feeling of entitlement to something more due to the unfair hand dealt to you, which become justifications in single parent household children’s minds for theft at the very least.
Child support is there to ensure children grow up in a sustained, dignified and respectable household, where they don’t have to skip showers, skip meals, or be jealous of their friends wearing clean unripped clothes, on top of holding parents responsible for the child they created.
Growing up without a father partially sucks because there’s no fatherly connection with any positive male figure, but that can be mitigated through various means. The real answer is that single moms raising kids sucks mostly because there’s no money.
I’ll say it for the people in the back: Birth control is not only for pregnancy!
I believed this for a long time, because sex ed in this country is garbage, so I suffered through PMDD (PMS on steroids) because I thought I had to. When this happens, I cry uncontrollably and against my will, and I also lack the ability to have coherent thoughts. Before birth control, this happened AT MINIMUM, every other month for 1-2 days.

Excuse me EagleTeam, you missed something. It's not just detention. It's execution. Page 554 paragraph 2 talks about ensuring the death sentence for certain individuals.
I feel like I'm going to be sent away for death because I put down that I was asexual on my doctor's form. This is insane. Or that I will be jailed for writing fanfiction. This all sounds insane, but it could happen. It could happen.
You know that feeling of staring down the dark abyss in HP Lovecraft stories? That feeling that you're staring into insanity? This is it. This is how it feels.
@@rosesweetcharlotteyou and me bestie, you and me 💜🤍🖤
@@rosesweetcharlotteAs a doctor from overseas and a fan of Lovecraft’s fiction… This is way crazier. It’s not an uncaring universe, it’s actively hate-filled targeted attack.
As a Brit watching this, it is absolutely dystopian. I looked up this clause and it ends with "- until Congress says otherwise
through legislation.". What does that even mean? My best understanding of the wording is "we need to go on an immediate killing spree and get as many as we can until the sane people inevitably stop us". Good lord.

Step 1: Define LGBTQ+ materials and speech as "pornography".
Step 2: Make pornography a crime.
Step 3: Jail everyone who isn't straight.
I just wish they would control it more, a button confirming you’re old enough to access the stuff is NOT enough

What I've read P2025 calls for the government to refuse to acknowledge all non-hetero sexuaities exist, which seems like laying the groundwork for taking away the rights of non-hetero sexualities.
Step 4: profit???
I am French, and in all honesty, I believe that America's over. It scares me to see how your country is getting closer and closer to 1984. George Orwell was right. I wish you a lot of courage and I am sincerely sorry for what is happening. I support American women, I truly do. You had the right to vote 25 years before French women, but in a few years, you will have fewer rights than us.
Project 2025 would literally put us back in the dark ages. Hundreds of years of prosperity, progression, and growth destroyed in the matter of a single term.
A single term, but potentially, a very very long term.
At this point, I smell the rise of something everyone misunderstood, but it is crucial to overthrow and abolish this horrible practice for generations to come...
Anarchy.
that's kinda how humaniy always has been
just look at the history books, so many empires that were so powerful that it seamed as if they were going to stay like that forever.
So men competing in womans sports has been that huge of an advancement? Neat.

Did they decide Trump’s divorces, philandering, and explicit neglect of his kids are ok because he’s rich or something?
……..
yes, also because 'he's not a woman and its not his job to raise them'
Well, he was president at one point and, as we all know, "If the president does it it's not illegal."
Animal Farm. "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."
Oh it's fine if men do it.
If this is allowed, then America will be one of the least free, most authoritarian countries in the world, was the largest prison system in the world not enough?
We already have the most prisoners, over a lot of dumb things like non-violent weed possession too.
The real problem is not that it'll be allowed. If they try to implement certain aspects of it, blue states like California, New York, Colorado, Washington (etc) would very likely refuse enforcement. But that could be a destabilizing event for the country. We do not want to live through that.
This 2024 election is simple. Reject GOP candidates at all levels of government.
Already the largest slave empire in history.
Seriously, I'm already trying to figure out ways to get out of the country. But I don't have the money. I could maybe go to a bluer state but I'm so afraid that won't be enough
And the largest military, which is even more terrifying for the rest of the world.
It’s interesting because, as a woman, this isn’t making the idea of creating a family attractive at all. Actually it’s doing the complete opposite
"get married to avoid STDs"
Thats funny cuz i got married and literally got gonorrhea from my HUSBAND on our wedding night. And i went to planned parenthood to treat the STD that i contracted within my MARRIAGE.
Also, if divorces werent allowed i would still be married to a man who is abusive, cheats with both men and women, and is a pedophile. So. Ya, sounds like a greeeaaat idea......not
Get ready for a handmaidens tale world
That guy is disgusting
Thank you for sharing your story and I'm so sorry this happened to you 😢 The fact that they think marriage will eliminate STDs when it's absolutely possible for someone who "waited til marriage" to get one is crazy.
LOL great judge of character. Let me also guess, married after less than a year in a relationship?
That is so clearly not the point. This man obviously knows his way around people and is probably very manipulative. Manipulation tactics can be quite powerful and can sway someones beliefs very much so I believe this persons story @@electricspeedkiller8950
Republicans: I love small government
REPUBLICANS: Hold my beer while I intrude into every aspect of your life
It's crazy and I'm tired of the Christian repubs ruining the name. most republicans who care about less government can't stand the "I'm better and everyone must know my thoughts" Christian republicans. No one cares about their grandstands but them and their circle. I definitely lean right but true Republicans can say "Do _abortions_ all you want but I won't be doing it in my life," and you can replace abortions with anything in this. I know you didn't say much but make fun of it and I completely agree with what it looks like and it's nasty. In real terms it should have been 1) Repubs and 2) Angelical REPUBS.
Project 2024 isn't real
And let’s make the head of the federal government above the law while we’re at it.
@@GameUpOGThe fact it's edited and still says 2024 makes you hard to differentiate from a troll.
Jackson v. Whole Womens health provides that we the people elect state legislatures whom pass laws concerning abortion to the liking of the majority of we the people under the direct threat of being voted out upon failure to do so. So how exactly is democracy intruding upon your life any more or less? If you have a problem with it take it up at the state election polls with the state legislature whom the court gave authority to deal with the subject.
"Outlaw pornography"
I'd say "I wanna see these politician's search history" but no, actually I really really do not want to see
Yea.......that sounds like an easy way to rip out your corneas
That law works in tangem with another law a few pages away that categorizes multiple minorities as "pornographic", as well as any activists fighting for them or any teachers teaching what amounts to basic biology or crucial sex ed. basically criminalizing and silencing all of them while controlling the rest who remain.
Not to mention all those "trump theology pastors"!
Honestly, I think this the one part that Trump would flat out veto. He keep a gold framed Playboy on his walll.
