We were hoping that our chemistry would still come across even with the split screen in two different cities, so we are glad to hear that indeed it did! Thanks for tuning in:-)
I'm so glad you two decided to carry on with your podcast! The length is perfect for tucking in with a cup of tea and my knitting. I was so impressed with your website! The quality and styling of your photos are inspiring - I want to knit everything in every yarn! Can't wait for episode 3. Katy
I'm binge-watching your podcasts and am really enjoying them. I watch a lot of knitting podcasts while I knit so an hour-ish is perfect. What I'm noticing so far that's different (as in good, better) than other podcasts is the in-depth discussion about choice of yarn, pattern, modifications, and color. I'm not an expert knitter, but I'm ready to explore modifications and adding my personal style to my projects. Hearing your comments about what you do and seeing your projects (WIP or finished) up-close is helping with that. A lot of other podcasts get caught up in showing skeins (which is fun) but doesn't really advance my knitting. So, you're going to the top of the podcast to watch list. Merci beaucoup!
Just found you ladies and am loving the banter but most specifically you showing the patterns, samples and the yarns its fabulous and a source of great inspiration and ideas - thank you from Perth Australia!
Well, I started with episode three; then, backed up to watch one and two. You girls have stolen my heart. Your aesthetic, color, fabric, etc. is my jam! My next project up will be the beautiful Om Shawl. I anxiously await episode four!
Thanks so much Marilyn for your kind words! Hopefully you'll join our online KAL of the Om Shawl through our Ravelry thread! Melissa and I will be filming our 4th podcast in the store next week so stay tuned!!
aaah, how sweet of you;-) Time flies when you are having fun and absorbed in the world of knitting! I think we are now destined to the one hour format, hee! hee!
I LOVE your podcast!! I am a Canadian living in Tokyo and you ladies are just my style! I have favorited so many new patterns in Ravelry and I have got to try knitting something with a halo. So classy! Thank you for the time and effort you put into these and I look forward to the next podcast.
I'm really enjoying your podcasts. Love all the notes that are available in ravelry too. I've made many notes and added to my wish list on the store's site. Sending my daughter in on Thursday to pick up some things I must have, including a gleener.
Hi Sherry, Melissa spends a lot of time gathering all the information and putting the show notes together, so we are very happy to hear that they are beneficial to you!! See you soon:-)
Thanks ladies, this was a fantastic accompaniment to a slow morning and some frantic Christmas sock knitting! Melissa, the Romney kerchief looks great on you, I'm glad you like it. Thanks for all the inspiration, my queue has certainly lengthened... Now I just have to try the Simple Luxury, maybe in Shibui Pebble and Superior...
I agree with Vicki Shaw..I love your podcasts..I don't think they are too long..Like you both said.."Grab your knitting"..That's exactly what I did when viewing your first podcast..I grabbed my knitting and after your podcast ended, I thought "where did all the time go" I was ready for more. Your energies mesh perfectly...Happy Holidays!
Great podcast ladies! I really enjoyed this one too! I definitely didn't find the first podcast too long at all. I can't wait to visit your store in person instead of always sending my daughter in to pick up yarn (and bags and books and needles, lol) for me! I have to add too that I love all the great pattern suggestions.
I love the formula for your podcast. I like how you show projects in different yarns and/or needle sizes. the color combo suggestions are also great. btw, I like to knit while I listen and watch podcasts.
I have just found your podcast and I am so glad I did, however you girls could go on forever because I was disappointed when it was finished.Love, love, love it....Bravo.
Loved watching you gals! In Thailand they use the same saying. And I added the alinda wrap to my favs. Thanks for a great show. (Ps- I'm the girl you sent the strauch ball winder to in Winnipeg!! I love it!! )
Hi Vikki, glad you can relate to my same, same story, how fun!! Otto will be so happy to hear that you love his ball winder, I will pass on your positive comment:-)
hey, great podcast! don't be self-conscious about the energy, the time, the split screen, etc. you are passionate about knitting, yarn, projects, your store, etc and so are we. just keep up the variety - i love the FOs, the WIPs and the project planning, but i also love to hear about the store, knitting samples, and yarn suggestions for projects. these parts make your knitting podcast unique from the others. keep up the good work!
Merry Christmas Ladies....I love your podcast and your projects/samples....you have awesome taste. I can not wait to visit your store in January!! Of course there is always online!! Can't wait until your next podcast!
Pay no mind to those who said your podcast is too long. They are crazy and wrong. I love your collective energy and could not get enough. Very fun, very informative, very nspiring!!
I, so excited to have found your podcSt ! I'm from Montreal but live in Boston now ! I go to your store when I go back home ! So happy to find you :) my name is Emilia , thanks you
Loved this episode. You've given me new ideas for the fingering yarns that I have but couldn't think of anything to do with them, I will be looking into light scarves and kerchiefs to do for spring and fall. One suggestion whenever you guys want to show an item on screen is maybe go to a single shot and only show the person holding the sample, that way we can have a better view of the item. Keep up the show!
Thanks again for all the great support! Looks like we have found our groove with the one hourish format! Melissa has booked my flight to NYC for Vogue Knitting Live in January so it looks like we will have the pleasure of being together onscreen very soon:-)
Thanks, anyway, but I was able to find all the colors Melissa said she was using for her Find Your Fade Shawl, even Pop Rock and Molly Ringwald, which have been discontinued.
Hello from Nova Scotia. I was in your store 2 years ago when I visited my son and family. I bought some yarn for socks and your shop gave me a sock pattern for scrumptious strikes sock. I’m new to knitting on 5 needles and ran into problems with turning the heal. Do you have a how to video out? Keep up the good work
So, you're putting the neutrals between the colors?I'm thinking about MT Light in Onyx, Savvy Skeins Sensible Sock in Where the Sidewalk Ends, Antique Lace, Pop Rocks, Paper, Molly Ringwald, and Antler. I hope it works out. I'm the worst when it comes to picking out colors!
I really think you can't go wrong with this shawl. Your combination / order sounds great! Hope we'll get to see it when it's finished :-) Maybe post it to our Ravelry group?
Too long??? No way, I could listen to you two nattering for hours.....I've even started eyeing up Shibui Silk Cloud! Damn you and your seductive sounding halo! hahahahaa xxx
Melissa, could you please tell me the order of the colors you're using in the Find Your Fade Shawl? I was able to buy all of the shades you're using with the exception of the Skinny you're using. I'm terrible at arranging colors!
Brenda Bloomfield I honestly don't know 😬. Just kinda choosing the one I think works best as I go along. So far, @madelinetosh Tosh Light in Onyx, Paper, and Poprocks. I think Antler may be next, followed by @hedgehogfibres Skinny Singles in Bramble or Tosh Light in Antique Lace (if I feel the HHF speckles don't really work with the palette)... Stay tuned 😊
Thanks for the feedback Shirley, we did notice that. I think we will get more tech savvy with each episode (hee! hee!) A comment we had from a viewer was that we should model the samples on us, so we will try to remember that for episode #3! Happy holidays:-)
Sure! Marimekko :-) us.marimekko.com/home/kitchen-dining/dinnerware The black and white one is the Räsymatto coffee cup and the white one in the Episode 1 (I was asked about this one too :-) is the Oive Large Mug. Cheers! M.
Melissa was hard to hear throughout, but after the pause for the phone call, she was impossible to hear, even at very high volumes. If you go into your control panel devices section, you can turn up the gain for your microphone :) Love the podcast so far ladies!
Thanks for the tip Lyn and indeed we have already done that:-) The main issue is that my voice comes in over Skype into Melissa's computer and Melissa's from a microphone so we are trying to troubleshoot this as we speak! Hopefully we will be able to regulate it soon:-)
Indeed Brenda you can give us a call at the shop, please check our website for our opening hours and contact information. You can also place an online order if you prefer :-) www.espacetricot.com
Just a suggestion.........Hi... the sound is out of sink and the sound is to harsh with the knitter in the glasses.... maybe tweak the Mic and levels? Other knitter sound is perfect....
Hi Kimmy, indeed we have not yet worked out all the technical glitches with our split screen, however as we go along things will only get better! The main issue is that Melissa records from her computer and I call in through Skype, therefore we are limited with the available technology! Hopefully you will stay tuned and see our improvements:-)
Hi Christine, thanks so much for the fabulous shout out on your blog!! It was very kind of you to spread the word about our little podcast and we do hope that you get to visit us in the new year:-) Please let us know if and when you will be in town!
whoever said your podcast was too long is crazy! I love it! 😊
Another great podcast. You guys feed off each others energy and as a viewer an hour or two is great for me.
We were hoping that our chemistry would still come across even with the split screen in two different cities, so we are glad to hear that indeed it did! Thanks for tuning in:-)
Your podcasts are NEVER too long 😊
I'm so glad you two decided to carry on with your podcast! The length is perfect for tucking in with a cup of tea and my knitting. I was so impressed with your website! The quality and styling of your photos are inspiring - I want to knit everything in every yarn! Can't wait for episode 3. Katy
Thanks so much Katy! Stay tuned for episode 3 coming next week! :-)

I am enjoying watching these while I knit 💗
I could have listened to you for another hour! LOL Can't wait for the next one ! Loved loved the grey styled sweater! I will knit it for sure!😉
Just found you ladies and am loving the banter but most specifically you showing the patterns, samples and the yarns its fabulous and a source of great inspiration and ideas - thank you from Perth Australia!

Great job! You two are much more relaxed this time round. Love your store!
Thanks for your feedback Michele! We are getting there:-))
Again, fantastic podcast !!!!!!!!! Happy Holidays !!!!!!
Thanks AndreA! Happy holidays full of knitting to you as well:-)
I too, love the length of your podcast. I don't find it too lengthy at all !!! I adore you two. Lovely, lovely, lovely podcast
That's high praise coming from you Molly! Thanks so much. You were one of our inspirations :-)
aaah, how sweet of you;-) Time flies when you are having fun and absorbed in the world of knitting! I think we are now destined to the one hour format, hee! hee!
I love your show and the length of it. The information is great and keeps my attention, so your show works well for me. Keep them coming!!!
I LOVE your podcast!! I am a Canadian living in Tokyo and you ladies are just my style! I have favorited so many new patterns in Ravelry and I have got to try knitting something with a halo. So classy! Thank you for the time and effort you put into these and I look forward to the next podcast.
Glad we could bring you a little touch of home and hopefully we will publish many more inspiring podcasts ;-)
Love your podcast ..... the longer the BETTER!!!!!!!!!! WHOOO HOOOOO
Hi Annette, number 3 is looonger, so you can get more knitting done, lol!!
Very cool.... Love it, you ladies ROCK
The most informative podcast ever! -- Especially knowing it was the first time split screen. You did such a great job.
Thanks so much Susan! One of our goals is to make sure that we have some educational content and hopefully that comes through:-)
Again, well done ladies! I love the suggestion of sitting back and knitting during the podacast - I keep a pen & paper handy for notes. Thanks!
Thanks so much! In case you miss something, we also put all our show notes over on Ravelry at: www.ravelry.com/groups/espace-...
Another great episode ladies!! Love watching & seeing what you are up to!
That would be a luxurious combination for the Simple Luxury and I might try doubling the Shibui Pebble to give it a little more heft:-)
Great podcast once again. Merry Christmas and a Happy New (knitting) Year!
Thanks Una! Have a great holiday as well filled with lots of knitting!!
15:57 I love the idea of mixing different yarns to get that fluff - I have never done it - now I need to :)
Let us know what fluffy project you decide to cast on!!
You should talk as long as you want. Such great information and inspiration!! I look forward to future episodes!
Aaah, how sweet of you to oblige Renee! Be careful though, 'cause we can talk A LOT!! hee! hee!
Another great hour spent with you, love your podcasts, already looking forward to the next one, see you in 2017!!
Hi Sherry, the next best thing to visiting our store is have a personal courrier deliver it!! Enjoy all the beauties that you purchased:-)
such a fun duo podcast! Thanks for taking time to do this!
Great job! I totally agree with vicki shaw. Your podcast was not too long. I also love it!
Happy Holidays!! Meilleurs voeux :)
Merci et joyeuses fêtes à toi aussi:-)
I love the formula for your podcast. I like how you show projects in different yarns and/or needle sizes. the color combo suggestions are also great. btw, I like to knit while I listen and watch podcasts.
You are a girl after our own heart;-)
That is what I love about you guys most! How you modify patterns 😍😍

I love it!! )

Unfortunately, I don't think our software will allow us to do that but we'll investigate! :-)
Great podcast. Keep up what your doing.
Thanks again for all the great support! Looks like we have found our groove with the one hourish format! Melissa has booked my flight to NYC for Vogue Knitting Live in January so it looks like we will have the pleasure of being together onscreen very soon:-)
Thats fantastic !!!!!!!
Keep your podcast long, it's great for knitting. Appreciate your tips as well.
Hi Kimberly, number 3 is even longer, hope you were able to stay tuned!
Thanks, anyway, but I was able to find all the colors Melissa said she was using for her Find Your Fade Shawl, even Pop Rock and Molly Ringwald, which have been discontinued.

fyi. after Melissa answered her husband's call her volume was way lower. I love that you show clothing samples of all the yarns.
Thanks for the feedback Shirley, we did notice that. I think we will get more tech savvy with each episode (hee! hee!) A comment we had from a viewer was that we should model the samples on us, so we will try to remember that for episode #3! Happy holidays:-)
Melissa, I love your black and white mug. May I ask where it is from?
Sure! Marimekko :-) us.marimekko.com/home/kitchen-dining/dinnerware
The black and white one is the Räsymatto coffee cup and the white one in the Episode 1 (I was asked about this one too :-) is the Oive Large Mug.
